Yeah, and the prob is that Daemon is already married. To be honest, if he wasn't and actually you know, acted as mature as he did earlier in the episode and made a good case, he might be able to convince Viserys he is a good match for Rhaenyra. Heck his and Viserys' parents were brother and sister. If they had a sister, Viserys would've been married to her instead of Aemma (who is his first cousin). Daemon could make a point that by tradition, marrying them both together 'restrengthens' the blood of the dragon again. But Daemon being Daemon chose the most chaotic and dumb way to do stuff.
@@Elementroar theres no way viserys would ever consider daemon, thats because he probably sees him as too dangerous and feels rhaenyra and him would be too dangerous with him. as viserys said in this episode “they are both the blood of the dragon”

he stopped because he felt guilty he didn't want to have sex with her in a brothel like a common whore. which explains why he said he'd take her how she is and wanted to marry her
What???? You got it so wrong. Daemon has been wanting Rhaenyra and the creators confirmed he stopped because he couldn’t finish just like in earlier episodes. I’m not sure if he has trouble finishing or if he got turned off by Rhaenyra liking it and kissing back rather than being completely submissive .
I feel like it needs to be addressed: Rhaenyra's hook-up with Cristen was super icky, what I got from this scene is that she was probably super drunk, but she also kinda pressured Cristen into it, the power imbalance in the situation is too large. And in a way, it shows that Daemon has a really bad influence on her, because it kinda mirrors their situation in a pleasure house, but where Daemon stopped after suddenly finding a conscience, Rhaenyra is too young and drunk to fully understand the nuances. I wonder if it's gonna be a pattern
For being a new fan that hasn’t seen GoT, Anna’s thoughts are so insightful and well constructed. She’s following everything wayyy better than I think I was able to 4 episodes into the original. Really great reactions
So my interpretation of the daemon-rhaenyra scene: Daemon deliberately removed Rhaenyra’s hat and his when they entered the brothel. He did that on purpose. He wanted them both to be seen together and to seduce her in public, which is also why he later admitted to banging the princess when he couldn’t physically go through with it. It was all part of his game to win her hand by sullying her for everyone else. And that only works if there is public gossip. But he stopped because even though this was his plan, i guess he just didn't feel comfortable going through with it and using Rhaenyra like this?
Okay so about the whole Daemon not being able to continue sexual actions (lol) thing, in the BTS of this episode the directors explain that he was impotent because he knew it was wrong to use Rheanyra to get back at his brother so I guess he felt bad and couldnt get into it. They also mentioned that he wasn't expecting Rheanyra to get exicted about it and so he couldn't handle not being in control
Yeah I don't know how I feel about the 2nd part of that explanation, but the feeling guilt part makes sense for Daemon's character. He has been shown to actually care about his family, even with his lust for power and tendency to violence. So making that whole plan then being unable to go through with it as the guilt builds up, is believable.
@@NelleBear Yeah the second part is kind of confusing to me and idk how to feel aboit it as well - heres the full quote "He thinks it's shocking to her, but she doesn't just get shocked she gets excited by it and when that happens he has nothing and he basically can't handle not being in charge or in control."
@@b4byheart726 But just before that he was talking to Rhaenyra how sex was supposed to be for both the woman & men's pleasure.....then he got unaroused when she was into it? Basically the director was saying Daemon only wanted to coerce or force her, and Rhaenyra reciprocating meant he wasn't in charge? Thats weird af. I'm gonna forget they said that, and just focus on the guilt aspect.
I think Daemon had every intention of using Rhaenyra that night. He wanted to force Viserys to allow them to marry. But he genuinely cares for Rhaenyra and realized he couldn’t do that to her in the brothel. I don’t think he has any sexual impotence. I think he’s wanted Rhaenyra for years (a prostitute offers to find him a “silver haired” girl when he couldn’t finish in the first episode) but has never acted on it. And in a moment when he could, she was old enough and she wanted it, he just couldn’t treat her that way. I think he wants to marry her first or at least treat her first time better. Not that he’ll be her first anymore lol.
Daemon stopped because he cares for her and felt bad that he was using her in his plan. They have hinted of them possibly falling in love in the future. He gave her the necklace. Her reaction when he came in the jousting tournament. She got hit in the head on the boat from his dragon passing by but smiled when she realized it was him and they speak a different language only to each other. Also when the suitors was making there case for marriage, she was holding onto the necklace he gave her
Ok but what was his plan? To become Viserys's target? I don't get why people think that he actually had a plan and didn't act in impulse, as it was showed before. His plan was to be exiled?
@@guruxara7994 he removed rhaenyra Beanie which could imply he wanted everyone there to know they were there and what was happening between them hoping it will get to the king. But he stopped himself before going all the way because he felt guilty for using her in the plan, which further proves the point when we see him hangover because he was drinking outta guilt
@@jayz3272 Well, but he removed his own hood too, wich implies that he would get caught too... What was his plan? Even if both had sex, Viserys would've exiled him anyways, Aegon II claim would get strenghted anyways, I really think that he acted in impulse, like 90% of Targaryens do... I don't think that Daemon is a meticulous person, he's actually too rebellious for that.
Also seeing how into Anna already seems in this world, I would absolutely LOVE to see her reaction to GoT once this show is done, or maybe when the first season is done.
Your facial expressions during certain scenes were perfect. By the way, the Gold-Cloaked Knight that the Princess met in the alley is Lord Strong's oldest son. His brother is the club-footed individual that sat with the ladies doing the King's Hunt last episode. Both of them were sitting at a table together when the Princess returned to the camp after killing the boar.
Jaeherys (Viserys grandfather) married and had kids with his sister, incest isn't something uncommon between Targaryens, it's actually a tradition for them. And I also don't think that Daemon is a manipulative person, he seems to be too chaotic for that, he's very impulsive and rebellious.
As a reminder, Criston is in the Kingsguard. They swear an oath of celibacy. If anyone finds out he broke that oath, with the princess no less, his head is getting chopped off. Even if Rhaenyra argues for his life, Criston will lose EVERYTHING he ever worked for and be stripped of his white cloak. It’s horrible for Rhaenyra to pressure him into that.
Wait is it specifically celibacy? I thought it was just that they can take no wife and have no children. Because the kingsguard in GoT fucked freely lol. Like not even just Jamie, wasn't Meryn trant like a pedophile and visited brothels frequently?
It's soooo good to see the small details from Martin's world being brought to the series, like the hatred since forever between House Blackwood and House Bracken.
As far Ser Criston goes, the King's Guard are sworn to chastity and to forsake any family inheritance. If Viserys found out, it's either beheading, or castration and banished to the wall. So Rhaenyra is playing a dangerous game with his life.
About the tea. Even though the Maester said it was the king who sent it, it may well have been Otto. Let's not forget that both the Hightowers and the Maesters come from Oldtown. The maesters are the ones who are supposed to treat whoever is sick. Viserys' father suddenly died of a disease 5 days after he was appointed as Hand (and replaced by Otto) , and now Viserys has a disease that just gets worse and worse. Other interesting thing about this episode. The maesters are often called "grey rats". Have you noticed how many times rats appeared in the episode? 😌
This is why this show is goated because the more you think about an episode after watching the plot thickens even more. It would absolutely make sense that Otto would send the Measter because if she is pregnant with who they think would be Deamon’s child (they don’t know about Cristen obvsly) that is a HUGE threat to little Aegon’s claim to the throne! Wow 😮
@@heron619 other detail. We don't know if they don't know about Criston. There were some camera angles that felt like someone was watching them, so, even if Criston got her pregnant, she could claim it was Daemon's son, which would be terrible for Lil Aegon too
'Sadistic' Ironically, kinda the opposite with Daemon as time goes on IMO. This is my own speculation with how the show interprets him, and based on existing promo stills, it seems more like he actually responds a lot more to emotional connection than you'd think. Tho with Rhaenyra in this scene, he only pauses when she turns around and looks directly at him, I think being confronted by her gaze of actual affection and love kinda shook him out of the whole plan. He does actually care for Rhaenyra, and seeing her clearly reciprocating is something he somehow wasn't prepared for. Prolly at that moment realizing he was going to ruin the actual good relationship they already have for this powerplay against his brother. He drunk himself into a stupor after running away from the brothel which to me, is clearly him trying to bury lots of pesky emotions (guilt, lingering lust, actual romantic love etc.) down. When he's tossed at his brother's feet, he's really in no right state of mind for a masterful speech. When he says he wants Rhaenyra, I think that's his true honest desire.
Ok so someone analyzed the scene with rhaenyra and daemon and in the brothel scene this what they came up with: when they face each other he performs part of the valyrian wedding ceremony but without the sand and the blood that is involved. in the valyrian ceremony two partners would press there foreheads against each other and caress blood onto their lips and forehead and then they would use a glass of sand over hands cracking the glass before consummating their marriage. thats basically really similar to what daemon does with her in the brothel scene.
Just a warning, in case you do show her GOT - There is one line in the show that completely spoils the fate of one of the characters in HotD. It's in Season 3, episode 4. I'd give a timestamp, but those are unreliable, so I'll describe the scene instead: The scene starts with us looking up at Joffrey through a grate in the floor. The first line Joffrey says is a spoiler. So cover your ears until the shot changes. I'll also describe the scene before it to further prepare you: It involves Varys talking to the prostitute Roz. It ends with Varys saying the line "Prodigies in odd places indeed."
@@ASageCalledQ I don't think the Shireen part is really spoilery - or at least, it won't be after Season 1 - as it doesn't really give any specifics, but just talks about violence and bloodshed. I don't remember Jaime talking about Cole. Which episode is that from?

Look up Damascus steel which is the real life inspiration for Valyrian steel. As the book describes it, their appearances are meant to be similar - patterned with a dark almost black colour. The secret to forging Valyrian steel has been completely lost, there are only a few blacksmiths who are able to re-forge it. Essentially it is a finite resource.
interesting the faces people make with the rhaenyra and daemon scene and then they smile in the next with ser criston even though the power dynamic is quite a bit worse.
Daemon has always wanted rheanyra from the start and rheanyra also adore her uncle way too deeper than a normal uncle-niece relationship. We can see it from their body language
In Doctor Who the Time Lords (the species that the Doctor is) can "regenerate" if they take a mortal wound but don't die straight away. Essentially they recreate their body into a new one conveniently played by a new actor! Regeneration also alters their personality so each Doctor has their own quirks allowing each new actor to bring something different to the role.
The reason there are multiple Doctors in Doctor Who is when he is close to death, he “regenerates” into a different actor. The story tends to pick up where it left off, but with a change in tone and a new personality. PS: Matt Smith is the best one ;) I’d watch, if you decided to check out his run.
U r wrong..she doesn't want the kings guard...she used what she learnt... Just to enjoy the attention with that guy😂😂😂... As would anyone do... casually...but she being princes can take casual to casual sex to another level..😂 we all saw that in game of thrones as well... Between Danny and that guy i forgot the name...she simply enjoyed the attention as time pass... But in reality...her bond with the guy she loved (khal drogo and later jon snow)..was different. Nd.was visible... though the show ended horribly.. Rahnerya wants daemon...and u'll see their bond is of another level...very soon...
The director explains things in a clip right after the show airs every Sunday, and he clearly stated that Daemon has an impotency problem.. and at the same time, he wanted control during the make out scene in the brothel.. when Rhaenyra " took control " I think it it was a cat and mouse game with Daemon. When he lost control, he walked away.. and at the same time, he felt guilt. So I think it was a combo of all three reasons to be honest.
Small lore tidbit that's not a spoiler. So the fight between the two courting Rhaenyra are from House Blackwood (The winner) and House Bracken (The bully who got gutted). Both houses have been feuding with each other for a very long time. It's so severe that it's pretty much Kill-On-Sight when it comes to the bad blood between the families.
41:20 Are we sure she hasn’t seen GOT before or read the books because her observations and guesses are ridiculously good 😀 that’s all im going to say without spoiling anything from GOT.
Regarding the conversation between Daemon and Rhaeynera in the Gods Wood, the way I took it is the “fear” she talks about is childbirth, understandably, and by extension sex. I think this is part (even if it’s a small part) of Daemon’s motivations for taking her to the pleasure house.
Hey Ben! Because you've watched GoT I recommend you not to rewatch the series if you're thinking about it nor show it to Anna until one "event" happens. I'll tell you why without spoiling. There's one scene in S3 from ep 6 or so, i cant remember the exact episode, i wont say who said it or where but someone said a super heavy spoiler about one character of HotD like it was nothing. At the time, we didnt know who the character was but now we know. Many people might say it's not a spoiler bc it's shown in the show itself but I think it is. I hope you don't remember that scene.
Yep. Because like Viserys said about the truth - perception of truth is more important than truth itself. With "plan B"-tea perception of Rhaenyras virtue and her actions remain pure or at very least deniable.
I think at the end, when the King sent that plan B tea to Rhaenyra, it was implying that he believed Daemon over Rhaenyra. He truly just wanted there to be no further complications.
If it were that simple, why would it end on that note, it was made to look like a suspenseful scene, or a cliffhanger. I don't get why they would put that vibe out if it was as simple as that.
@@ashkaash9819 It didn't seem like a suspenseful scene to me. That potion ends the episode, pretty much wrapping up any other complications that could occur from what happened.
We don’t know that the King sent the tea, just that the Maester said it was the king. It’s known that the Maesters and Otto are very close with each other - since they’re both from Oldtown - and Otto could have sent the tea in order for potentially stop a Daemon x Rhaenyra baby because if that baby were male it could strengthen Rhaenyras claim to the throne
House Blackwood has some of the coolest bits of lore among all minor houses, and in the main books the characters from it (if there's even more than one? I haven't even finished clash of kings) are less than secondary. And everyone loves them. I mean am I the only one mad that showrunners passed up an opportunity to have that kid wear a ridiculous raven feather cloak just as a tiny omage?
First everyone need to chill out with the ew he is her uncle. They are Targaryens. The dynasty begin with a brother marrying his two sisters. Aemma and Viserys were first cousins. Baelon and Alyssa were brother and sister and jaehaerys and his sister wife. So tunnel viewing this aspect at this point is ridiculous. Take it as it is and you will enjoy and analyze the story better. The thing with Daemon is that he is written as a very grey character. In the novels he did things that made him the hero, others that made him a disgusting villain. But one thing can be truly highlighted is that he loves Viserys and Rhaenrya. They are his home. Also HBO has already shown us the finale previews where we see then wedding the exact same way he tells Viserys in this episode. He loves his Targaryen blood and customs. He likes that Rhaenrya is just like him. She understands him. Like Viserys said they have the blood of the dragon. They are both restless and chaotic. But they both understand each other. He didn’t choose his first wife. He told Rhaenrya in episode 2. Now he tells Viserys he wants her. He is choosing this time and she based on what happened between them and just how she reacted to him coming home is right there. However, I know it will be some time until we see them come together. But HBO is definitely putting the foundations there. And ultimately the ending is clear.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but be careful if you do decide to watch GOT now that you started HOTD because there are major spoilers for HOTD in GOT.
The first House of Dragon episode directed by a female director. Well done Clare Kilner. It was done beautifully. The next episode also directed by her..its going to be epic.
What part of her not lying to Allicent did you not get? She swore because she spoke the truth, she and Daemon didn't arrive on the spot... the actress even speaks in the extra material for this episode. She did, but with Cole, so she still acts uncomfortable.
41:30 the world of ice and fire describes a nation (I don't remember how they were called) which is not the best example, but a very interesting one. They live in the Bones, a mountain range that divides Essos, in three major cities in their passages. And the thing is, women in their culture have a role of warriors and have a lot of power and prestige specifically because they believe that only those capable of giving life can take it. But they also have some weird choice of style, and practice some heavy eugenics, and women aren't rulers even in this society - they choose the rulers, but it's implied that only men can rule.
Daemon wants to bring rheanyra to that place and shows people they were there. Yes, he has a hidden agenda. He comes with a plan. But, he didn’t mean to ruin her. He loves his family, his brother and his niece. He wants to wed rheanyra so that he did that to kind of making viserys allows him to wed her. But he doesn’t want to finish it since it was wrong to finish it there. He doesn’t lust for a throne, he lust for rheanyra. He really means it when he says it. If rheanyra should wed someone. Why not him? Who can be there to protect both his brother and his niece. I think it is the best choice among the situation in daemon’s opinion. The Targaryen blood runs thick, as he said.
Daemon stopped coz he didn't wanna go all way in their first time ... that's all . It's natural for targeryan to wed /get intimate...in order to keep the bloodline pure...to maintain their bond with the dragons... They get married in between siblings...so uncle and niece is quite distant compared to that... He does need to be guilty.. neither she.. it's natural for them by law... C'mon man ...if anyone hasn't read the books that's ok but even by the show u get this basic thing .. upfront.. Otto offered baby agoen .. rahnerya's half brother as her husband..match.. Remember.. nd king's only objection was the boy was of 2 years age.. Similarly if daemon wasn't married already... the king wouldn't have any objection
Something that caught my eye in Daemon rejecting Rhaenyra, was that sudden outburst of frustration and then leaving the sexual encounter completely. This reminded me a lot of the scene between Daemon and Mysaria in the first episode where he almost exactly shows the same behavior. In the scene from the first episode I got the feeling that Daemon is perhaps becoming impotent, or something similar. In the way I interpreted D&R's encounter, he leaves her there out of frustration/embarrassment, rather than out of disrespect/cruelty. I could be very much wrong in my interpretation, just my personal feelings atm.
In Game of Thrones we saw cersei and jaimes incest and that is very wrong and not because they are brothers because in the Targaryen family there is a lot of that and it is normal in the family for example Daemon's countries is viserys they are brothers and they are tired and viserys he is married to his cousin who is a mother and Rhaenyra so it is super normal the incest more than Cersei is Jaimes there yes and wrong Because they are not Targaryen if it was Targaryen then fine they can be together but they are not Targaryen that's why na series they hide it because they know it's wrong what they are doing that is incest they can't but if they were targaryen then no one is bothering them but they aren't targaryen so they can't be related it's only targaryen who can to incest because it is the Targaryen family custom to incest The Daemon likes Rhaenyra the daemon wanted to show Rhaenyra things because Rhaenyra doesn't know anything outside the kingdom the daemon's plan I believe the daemon wanted people to see them together and they say the princess went into a brothel with her uncle so much as soon as the daemon took off rhaenyra's hood and hat before entering the brothel but the daemon gives up and walks away too bad because he left her alone and rhaenyra and christian's relationship was also wrong because christian he is a knight and he soiled his white robe, remembering that Christian is older than Daemon, so age doesn't matter in this universe, just like incest doesn't matter because that's normal in the Targaryen family. I'm already used to it because I read George Martin's books and in the stories he tells about the Targaryen family, they all have incest. Incest is the most normal thing in this universe I didn't like the way Alicent talked to Rhaenyra if she wants help friend no and just like you approach a friend Alicent is jealous of her Rhaenyra because Rhaenyra slept with whoever she wanted, she doesn't have to sleep with an old man, you'll understand yet more later Alicent is jealous of Rhaenyra's life in the book shows more See the difference in the scenes when the daemon talks to Rhaenyra talking even though she is married he can feel pleasure with whoever she wants in the Alicent scene and viserys Alicent is not feeling pleasure already in the Rhaenyra scene and Daemon Rhaenyra is feeling pleasure even if it was the kiss but she is enjoying it more after she sleeps with Christian and she feels pleasure there you can see In the throne scene, when the daemon says that viserys can do what he wants, because he is the king, he rules him and the law, he is a Targaryen, this is true, as it is also true when viserys tells Alicent that the daemon and rhaenyra are dragons are restless that's true too
She never really trusted Alicent back, thats prolly why she lied. But you see HOTD is based on perspectives by different accounts, so my mind keeps telling me- is that how they are approaching this? That what we are seeing might not be the whole truth, but the narration of one maester to another. They intentionally did that with the "heir for a day", so is that the same case with the brothel scene? is Rhaenyra really lying? It epic writing thats for sure
I actually find the relationship between king and princess annoying On one episode , they would seem to understand the importance of being a leader and the realm. With prophecy guiding them and , show them the importance of focus on bigger picture. Next episode she would rebel like a brat and he would act like it’s his first day as king Then they would talk it out as if everything is all good and they need to both focus on the big picture Then next episode ,she would act like a little rebellion spoiled kid And he would once again act like a dumb person its like time has jumped for everyone except for them. how can theKing Viserys be so "dumb" and able to rule the realm for so many years and Princess Rhaenyra be so childish. yes she is young but come on, in the world setting, she isn't young no more. there are better ways to portrait her as "rebelious and independent " It’s like a sitcom. U see them grow but next episode go back to the original self as if nothing ever happened.

Totally agree!!!
Exactly
@@guruxara7994 oh i agree, I’m not saying he’s malicious. I just think he might have came with a plan but then realized that it was wrong.
Also seeing how into Anna already seems in this world, I would absolutely LOVE to see her reaction to GoT once this show is done, or maybe when the first season is done.
Anyone notice that rhaenyra touches the necklance when she select the partner is because she thinks of her uncle while doing this!
I wanted to say since last episode, your post reaction are great too! Great talks. 🇧🇷
You can see rheanyra face when she sees caraxces. She misses daemon
The Grand Maester Conspiracy grows even stronger 😳 The observation about the rats is brilliant!
Wow 😮
@@heron619 the fact they made Mellos and the maesters in general so creepy in this show only makes it more obvious for me (and my tinfoil hat) 😅
@@heron619 other detail. We don't know if they don't know about Criston. There were some camera angles that felt like someone was watching them, so, even if Criston got her pregnant, she could claim it was Daemon's son, which would be terrible for Lil Aegon too
@@andyfern8923 Oh shit! You really do have your tinfoil hat on 😅
'Sadistic'
Ironically, kinda the opposite with Daemon as time goes on IMO.
Jaime later spoils the events concerning Cole and Shirleen pretty much gives a summary of the series.
@@ASageCalledQ I don't think the Shireen part is really spoilery - or at least, it won't be after Season 1 - as it doesn't really give any specifics, but just talks about violence and bloodshed.
I don't remember Jaime talking about Cole. Which episode is that from?
I love the conversations after the episodes.
THIS EPISODE WAS INSANE
Best episode yet. This show for me has been as good as Season 1-4 of Game of Thrones. Peak TV right here. The acting, writing, music, cinematography, its all coming together.
no
I thought this was the worst episode of the season lmao
@@llamatarian3913 Good for you, we can both have different opinions. You like epic CGI dragons and big action scenes, I like dialogue, writing, and character development with real stakes and GOT-esque politics with complexity and nuance. Stick to your epic action shows and dragon fight episodes only... leave the good TV to those who actually enjoy it.
@@JasmineTeaEnjoyer You think this was filled with good dialogue and writing? Lmao...
The only one carrying the show at this point is Daemon and Viserys who actually know how to act, a good portion of this episode was showing off what a brat Rhaenyra is, so basically the same as last episode.
The Blackwood kid is actually a reference to Benjicot Blackwood, later known as "Bloody Ben" by his men. A very dangerous piece of work.
Nice react!😉
Blackwoods killing Brackens, gotta love it.
Ed Sheeran didn't appreciate your cameo conversation lol.
7:40 Yes!! I remember that happy episode where the Coldplay drummer appeared :D thx for reminding me of that episode !!! Lmaooo 😆😆😆😆😆
interesting the faces people make with the rhaenyra and daemon scene and then they smile in the next with ser criston even though the power dynamic is quite a bit worse.
Daemon has always wanted rheanyra from the start and rheanyra also adore her uncle way too deeper than a normal uncle-niece relationship. We can see it from their body language
8:15 speaking of cameos, there was a subtle Ed Sheeran cameo in the original Game of Thrones series 😊
Rhaenyra laughing at the Blackwood kid being bullied by the Blacken.
"Rhaenyra will marry the kid just to piss off that asshole".
"I think Rhaenyra and Daemon are gonna like... 😏"
Anna: "I sure hope not!! 😲"
Hahahaha so funny considering the rest of this episode
32:53 😆😆😆 Anna!! We all had the same face after hearing that line
Anna is such a sweet summer child, doing a crux at daemon/rhaenyra 🤣
32:55 As Archer would say, "Phrasing!" 😂
We all know exactly what cameo you were talking about lol
Small lore tidbit that's not a spoiler. So the fight between the two courting Rhaenyra are from House Blackwood (The winner) and House Bracken (The bully who got gutted). Both houses have been feuding with each other for a very long time. It's so severe that it's pretty much Kill-On-Sight when it comes to the bad blood between the families.
Blackwood killing bracken is just another Tuesday lol
Right away after the episode!! great!!
I apologize for not knowing your names yet, but sir, you are an extremely savvy viewer.
8:00 Ed Sheeran in GOT **cough cough**
Those glances ben gives toward the camera are everything lol. Reminds me of Eric and Calvin from blind waves GoT reactions :D
I hope you don't remember that scene.
it's a "just in case" tea, an insurance policy tea if you will. he cant take the chance of her being pregnant while unmarried
Yep. Because like Viserys said about the truth - perception of truth is more important than truth itself. With "plan B"-tea perception of Rhaenyras virtue and her actions remain pure or at very least deniable.
Wow, didn't expect this early... 🤣
if you follow there insta they on a trip and out of country time zone and rather do stuff during the day
I think at the end, when the King sent that plan B tea to Rhaenyra, it was implying that he believed Daemon over Rhaenyra.
I don't think he has to believe either one over the other, it's just a sensible precaution.
@@NelleBear Yea I can see it that way too I guess, but I still thing the tea is going to have some significance.
I'm here for Anna facial expression lol
Doctor who dies and gets a new body every time.
Hot D, had different meaning after this episode
House Blackwood has some of the coolest bits of lore among all minor houses, and in the main books the characters from it (if there's even more than one? I haven't even finished clash of kings) are less than secondary. And everyone loves them. I mean am I the only one mad that showrunners passed up an opportunity to have that kid wear a ridiculous raven feather cloak just as a tiny omage?
Tbf we'll get more blackwoods later, benjicot blackwood
She did, but with Cole, so she still acts uncomfortable.
she said "Daemon didn't touch me" so technically she did lie to Alicent.
she did fuck Daemon she just didn't finish with him
41:30 the world of ice and fire describes a nation (I don't remember how they were called) which is not the best example, but a very interesting one.
The patrimony of hyrkoon. Most men are gelded when born and those who aren't are selected to become the rulers and allowed to breed.
Daemon didn’t actually take a second wife.
“Going all the way in” is usually how someone’s first time works lol
There is big female character talk about the books Princess Nymeria, there gonna be potential spin off hbo developing
Damon and Rhaenyra didn’t have sex so Rhaenyra didn’t lie…
In Game of Thrones we saw cersei and jaimes incest and that is very wrong and not because they are brothers because in the Targaryen family there is a lot of that and it is normal in the family for example Daemon's countries is viserys they are brothers and they are tired and viserys he is married to his cousin who is a mother and Rhaenyra so it is super normal the incest more than Cersei is Jaimes there yes and wrong Because they are not Targaryen if it was Targaryen then fine they can be together but they are not Targaryen that's why na series they hide it because they know it's wrong what they are doing that is incest they can't but if they were targaryen then no one is bothering them but they aren't targaryen so they can't be related it's only targaryen who can to incest because it is the Targaryen family custom to incest
The Daemon likes Rhaenyra the daemon wanted to show Rhaenyra things because Rhaenyra doesn't know anything outside the kingdom the daemon's plan I believe the daemon wanted people to see them together and they say the princess went into a brothel with her uncle so much as soon as the daemon took off rhaenyra's hood and hat before entering the brothel but the daemon gives up and walks away too bad because he left her alone and rhaenyra and christian's relationship was also wrong because christian he is a knight and he soiled his white robe, remembering that Christian is older than Daemon, so age doesn't matter in this universe, just like incest doesn't matter because that's normal in the Targaryen family. I'm already used to it because I read George Martin's books and in the stories he tells about the Targaryen family, they all have incest. Incest is the most normal thing in this universe
I didn't like the way Alicent talked to Rhaenyra if she wants help friend no and just like you approach a friend Alicent is jealous of her Rhaenyra because Rhaenyra slept with whoever she wanted, she doesn't have to sleep with an old man, you'll understand yet more later Alicent is jealous of Rhaenyra's life in the book shows more
See the difference in the scenes when the daemon talks to Rhaenyra talking even though she is married he can feel pleasure with whoever she wants in the Alicent scene and viserys Alicent is not feeling pleasure already in the Rhaenyra scene and Daemon Rhaenyra is feeling pleasure even if it was the kiss but she is enjoying it more after she sleeps with Christian and she feels pleasure there you can see
In the throne scene, when the daemon says that viserys can do what he wants, because he is the king, he rules him and the law, he is a Targaryen, this is true, as it is also true when viserys tells Alicent that the daemon and rhaenyra are dragons are restless that's true too
The draaaama! Tasty
Maybe Daemon respects his marriage more than he lets on?
not marriage but her. he's fine with Whores but he didn't want to treat Rhaenyra like one
Lol no. He more felt bad using his family.
I actually find the relationship between king and princess annoying
On one episode , they would seem to understand the importance of being a leader and the realm. With prophecy guiding them and , show them the importance of focus on bigger picture.
Next episode she would rebel like a brat and he would act like it’s his first day as king
Then they would talk it out as if everything is all good and they need to both focus on the big picture
Then next episode ,she would act like a little rebellion spoiled kid
And he would once again act like a dumb person
its like time has jumped for everyone except for them.
how can theKing Viserys be so "dumb" and able to rule the realm for so many years
and Princess Rhaenyra be so childish. yes she is young but come on, in the world setting, she isn't young no more. there are better ways to portrait her as "rebelious and independent "
