Both versions sound like the original Richard Berry version and Paul Revere and the Raiders cover rather than the Kingsmen version. Paul Allen's Experience Music Project, now the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, had an entire room dedicated to the Kingsmen - Paul Revere "Louie Louie" rivalry!
Nice video! Louie Louie is a great song - I have always liked the Beach Boys doo wop version - the Kinks version is nice but more raw - there are live Beach Boys versions on UA-cam which I also like and these have a rawer edge than their more polished studio version!
