This isn't technically white noise - it's more of a soft brown noise. But since most of us don't know about the "colors of noise," I called it white noise so it can be found more quickly.
Though there are plenty of other long "white noise, black screen" videos on UA-cam now, this one was the first. In fact, my very first one was in 2015, but it had some quality issues so I took it down and replaced it with this one. 😅

⚠️ 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢?
If so, I'm sorry that happened. I know it's awful to be startled by a mid-roll ad. I have them disabled on all of my content, but UA-cam has a confirmed bug that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. It's not just my channel - this has been a problem across the entire platform since at least mid-2022. UA-cam's engineers know about the bug and what causes it to happen, but unfortunately, they have not provided any information about when (or if) they will fix it.
The bug tends to manifest as a 30-second mid-roll ad played around the 6-hour mark, and it disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I have been investigating this for a very long time, and I go into more detail about my findings here: ua-cam.com/video/ndeUVgZMh1Y/v-deo.html
If you are affected by the bug but still want to access my content, I recommend that you view this video's description and try one of the alternatives I have provided, such as Spotify or Rumble. If you want to stay on UA-cam, you'll find that I have live stream versions of my most popular content, and they tend to be safe from the bug - but not always.
The only guaranteed way to never get ads on UA-cam is to subscribe to UA-cam Premium, which I understand is not an option for everyone. As it turns out, the reason I do not need to play ads is because my channel makes the vast majority of its revenue from UA-cam Premium.
You are welcome to reply to this comment with information about what happened to you. Historically, it has been helpful for me to know what type of device you are on, which app or browser you use, the approximate timestamp of when the ad played, and what company/product/service the ad was for.

I hope you meant listen not watched. I am imagining you staring at the dark screen for 1,000 hours! I put foam earplugs in and then my soft headband headphones over it and play this loud and add a sleep mask for nights when I must wake for work between 3:30 - 4:30 am as I flip flop schedules and sometimes work 2 - 10 pm. My body doesn’t like going to bed so early and sleeps lightly but this has helped a bunch.
SAME-ZEES. I LITERALLY CANNOT SLEEP WITHOUT IT.

I’ve loved white noise and vent/air sounds my whole life (I’m 35). There’s pictures of me as a toddler passed out on hard wood floors laying next to a vent. I think it’s because I’ve had tinnitus my whole life. This video reminds me so much of sleeping next to an air vent-it’s the most relaxing sound in the world. The ringing in my ears disappears right away. I think I’m going to listen to this every night from now on. Thank you so much for this perfection!

As for this being a community, though... I've had this video up for something like 5 years now and the comments started out as a few thank-yous and some jokes (like this one!), but I've watched as people have come here to share what's going on in their lives, the struggles they're facing, and how a simple thing like some background noise on a UA-cam video has helped them get through rough nights. And people read those comments from total strangers and offer condolences, best wishes, and so forth. I read every comment and am just blown away by how cool people can be sometimes. So while I'm not sure I'd call this a community, it is, at the very least, a very friendly place.

This is, by far, the best white noise I’ve come across. I’ve tried others, as well as different nature sounds, like rain & ocean sounds, but they made me feel like I needed to pee, lol. Others had crickets...annoying! I have nothing to complain about with this one...it helps me fall asleep easily, and I sleep soundly all night long.

I have been listening to this for a while. It definitely helps me sleep. Also when I lived in a noisy neighborhood I would turn it on during the day just to help drown out all the shenanigans outside. Saved my sanity.
Yeah it definitely has multiple uses. I may have to do the same if my neighborhood gets any noisier. Can't just keep moving people in without any real planning and expect things to stay tranquil. 😩

Io invece abito in centro e sento i ragazzini e i tunni che mettono su della musica di merda e se la credono a colpi di 'oh bro' e 'dio ca frà', e tra 1 mese mi apre un kebabbaro sotto casa. Ovviamente tutte le finestre danno sulla stessa strada quindi puoi capire come questo suono di sottofondo , unito a un bel paio di tappi per le orecchie, al seghino pre-coricamento e alla conoscenza di una vasta gamma di bestemmie mi aiuti a passare la notte.

I'm sorry you have to go through that. I don't know your situation and everyone is different, but for me, talking about my thoughts with other people helped over time. Of course, they have to be the right people.
This is by far the best noise I came across. I have a two year old and this has helped him fall asleep every night for a full night of sleep since he was 6months old and still continues to do so. And there’s no distractions as in ads or commercials. Also I love the fact that it last 10 hrs long. Just wanted to say Thank you so much for this noise.

I always end up listening to this video and reading the comments. It’s such a safe place. I struggle with anxiety and this has helped me so much. When I’m having anxiety attacks I just play this and try to focus on my breathing. This has honestly helped me so much struggling with such huge anxiety attacks (hyperventilating, shaking, dizziness, fainting, gagging, vomiting).. it just makes me feel calm and reading the comments gives me something to focus on :)

This white noise is the best video on UA-cam. The others ones are too high and busy. This one is a lot lower in pitch and literally just makes you wanna sleeeep. Almost more of a fan noise then white noise but in a good way 🙏🏽
Yep! If we're being technical, it's not really white noise. 😉 But I think this is what most people want when they go looking for white noise. The real thing is, like you said, a lot more high and busy.

Iam struggling with ADHD and doing my homework was always a nightmare because I just couldn't focus and it was depressing because I was feeling guilty about it all the time. I am now a college student and one day, one of my friend adviced me to try to work with white noises in the background. I tried withou any expectations and it was a miracle ! I am way more able to focus and to work for a longer period thanks to your videos ! I cound't believe it. I don't think I will be able to work without it anymore, it's like a dopaine for my brain. I never thought it could work.

I love the the EQ settings on the noise - it's nice and deep, and I really appreciate that it's super long and ad-free. It helps me sleep, and it also helps keep my dog from hearing neighborhood noise that makes him bark early in the morning. Excellent!

This is fantastic. It is absolutely the best white noise video I've found, and it plays for every nap time and every night. I was having phone trouble recently, and I wasn't worried about the fact that I need it for work and appointments nearly as much as not having this video. I live with numerous, loud people, and it muffles them into oblivion. Beautiful.
