    ⚠️ 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢?
    If so, I'm sorry that happened. I know it's awful to be startled by a mid-roll ad. I have them disabled on all of my content, but UA-cam has a confirmed bug that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. It's not just my channel - this has been a problem across the entire platform since at least mid-2022. UA-cam's engineers know about the bug and what causes it to happen, but unfortunately, they have not provided any information about when (or if) they will fix it.
    The bug tends to manifest as a 30-second mid-roll ad played around the 6-hour mark, and it disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I have been investigating this for a very long time, and I go into more detail about my findings here: ua-cam.com/video/ndeUVgZMh1Y/v-deo.html
    If you are affected by the bug but still want to access my content, I recommend that you view this video's description and try one of the alternatives I have provided, such as Spotify or Odysee. If you want to stay on UA-cam, you'll find that I have live stream versions of my most popular content, and they tend to be safe from the bug - but not always.
    The only guaranteed way to never get ads on UA-cam is to subscribe to UA-cam Premium, which I understand is not an option for everyone. As it turns out, the reason I have the luxury of disabling ads everywhere UA-cam will let me is because my channel makes the vast majority of its revenue from UA-cam Premium. I have reviewed my analytics data and it appears that UA-cam does not compensate me for the mid-roll ads in question, which I suspect is because their systems cannot reconcile the fact that a mid-roll ad played even though I have them disabled.
    You are welcome to reply to this comment with information about what happened to you, but at this point, we have a pretty solid understanding of what's going on and are just hoping it will be fixed. Historically, it helped when viewers would list what type of device they were on, which app or browser was being used, the approximate timestamp of when the ad played, and what company/product/service the ad was for.
    I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter, and I'm sorry there isn't more I can do.

    what I love about pink noise is how many things I can imagine it being
    static on a tv, the air conditioner in a hotel room, a pressure washer, a hairdryer, a rainstorm, being at the beach on a windy day

Childhood trauma leaves it’s scars, and believe me when I say I have tried my best to continue to find a solution! Pink noise is giving me more natural relief than anything ever has. I'm sorry for your struggles (and the cause of them 😟), but I'm happy to hear that pink noise has helped bring you some peace. The September 11 attacks, commonly known as 9/11,[e] were four coordinated Islamist suicide terrorist attacks carried out by Al-Qaeda against the United States on September 11, 2001. That morning, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners scheduled to travel from the East Coast to California. The hijackers crashed the first two planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, two of the world's five tallest buildings at the time, and aimed the next two flights toward targets in or near Washington, D.C., in an attack on the nation's capital. The third team succeeded in striking the Pentagon, the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense in Arlington County, Virginia, while the fourth plane crashed in rural Pennsylvania during a passenger revolt. The September 11 attacks killed 2,977 people, making them the deadliest terrorist attack in history, and instigated the multi-decade global war on terror, fought in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere.

    both my ears are currently clogged, and listening to this makes them feel all cleared out. but once i turn off the sound, it’s clogged up again. i’ll be listening to this for the rest of my life, goodbye for now.

    • @DJGrossman
      @DJGrossman  2 роки тому +2

      Ugh, I'm sorry they're clogged. Do you know what's causing it? If it's wax, there are drops/fluids that can help, though honestly it may be best to see a physician. If it's eustachian tubes (my favorite... sigh), I recently found a tool called "Eustachi" that might help. Whatever's causing it, I wish you luck, because I know that feeling and it's the worst!

      It's easy to take a restful mind for granted. I used to have a lot of racing thoughts as well, but they've mostly slowed down over the years and that has got to be the #1 reason I can actually fall asleep pretty easily now. And I also hear ya about the tinnitus - pink has been the best for mine, historically.
      As for the ads, I'm doing my best! I'm actively in communication with UA-cam about it right now and I'm hoping we can pinpoint what's been going on. I have over a year's worth of complaint comments I've provided to them as proof. 🤷‍♂️
