what I love about pink noise is how many things I can imagine it being static on a tv, the air conditioner in a hotel room, a pressure washer, a hairdryer, a rainstorm, being at the beach on a windy day I usually hate those noises, but for some reason this makes me feel so calm and cozy. I love it so much

My kid is 1.5 and I still use pink noise for her to sleep. She has always been a light sleeper, so this blocks out other noises around the house for her.
I am a 62 years old disabled senior..I have severe anxiety and I go to sleep with numbers and songs going repeatedly through my head... Pain, lupus also... I feel asleep last night with pink noise and I have clarity and mild energy.. the very best medicine I've had..
You're quite strong to persevere through those challenges. 💪 I imagine it's a relief to have adequate rest, and I'm very happy to have been able to help you get it. 😁
@@DJGrossman thank you for this channel.. it helps with my anxiety greatly.. not so much of the pain.. but my anxiety level has decreased to almost half of what it was..
You should look into: Acupuncture Qigong Releasing Trauma from your hips type of stretches/yoga Liposomal Turmeric drops Somatic stretching Acupressure mats Grounding bedsheets Hope that helps, these are things I have done, on top of counseling, journaling, learning more about myself and it’s been an amazing journey to better health.
I am 52 years old and have struggled with getting to sleep, staying asleep and sleeping peacefully, since I was at least 7 years old. Childhood trauma leaves it’s scars, and believe me when I say I have tried my best to continue to find a solution! Pink noise is giving me more natural relief than anything ever has. It’s amazing and also, it’s important to note that I have impaired hearing, lost 50% of lower tones in both ears.
I'm sorry for your struggles (and the cause of them 😟), but I'm happy to hear that pink noise has helped bring you some peace. Pink noise does have more energy in the lower frequencies, so perhaps in your case that counteracts some of the hearing loss and makes the noise sound evenly-distributed across the spectrum. 🤔
I'm sorry you struggle, but relieved to know that at 50 years old I'm not alone with sleep issues also due to childhood trauma. Pink I'd a bit too high pitched for my sensitive ears, but brown helps me. It also blocks my tinnitus. Best of luck to you.👐
I have and extream sensitivity to noises and this pink noise I swear is reconditioning my brain to be more tolerant of many of the noises that bother me.
Sorry to hear you have to deal with that, but it's really cool that you're able to use this sound in a healing way. First I've heard of anyone doing that, too!
I have to ask you this.. Are you like me and feel instant anger when you can hear people chewing, people breathing heavy, people snoring, people tapping, people whistling, people clicking a pen and so much more? I’m not in the slightest an angry or aggressive person but my goodness when I hear those sounds it agitates me extremely quickly!!
@@lottie8970 That's called misophonia! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misophonia I don't have it, personally, but it's common enough that it got a name and everything. 😬

Aw, thanks for saying so! 😄 I think it's fun! If this noise doesn't help and you want to try something else, I've got plenty of other options on my channel. Hope you're able to slow things down in there. 👍
How do you decide what color goes with each sound? Is there a list somewhere that you and others use,? It's so interesting to me! You don't have to reveal any of your secret tools of the trade, I am curious but that's the long and short of it.. as my late dad used to say ❤️
@@beckyb9659 So the "colors of noise" is actually a concept that was established long before I showed up and started making these. 🙂 I merely studied it and used what I learned. You can read all about that here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colors_of_noise As for the actual creation, I use Audacity (free audio editing software) to craft the sounds and VirtualDub (free video editing software) to stitch everything together.
@@DJGrossman very interesting and so awesome that you have helped so many using everything you learned, with your own spin and care added in! Thanks for explaining that! ✌️🙏✨
It's always fascinating to me how different colors of noise have different effects for different people. It's cool that this one opens creative doors for you! 🙂
The September 11 attacks, commonly known as 9/11,[e] were four coordinated Islamist suicide terrorist attacks carried out by Al-Qaeda against the United States on September 11, 2001. That morning, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners scheduled to travel from the East Coast to California. The hijackers crashed the first two planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, two of the world's five tallest buildings at the time, and aimed the next two flights toward targets in or near Washington, D.C., in an attack on the nation's capital. The third team succeeded in striking the Pentagon, the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense in Arlington County, Virginia, while the fourth plane crashed in rural Pennsylvania during a passenger revolt. The September 11 attacks killed 2,977 people, making them the deadliest terrorist attack in history, and instigated the multi-decade global war on terror, fought in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere.
@@jaymoar3561 That's very kind of you to say. Hopefully the ads stay away... UA-cam has been doing something funny lately and some people are getting ads even though I have them disabled! 😫

I have panic disorder and adhd. As soon as I hear this it calms me down. Been trying to calm myself down for the past year and I couldn't seem to figure out why I have this "doom feeling" but this noise right here REALLY helps me, I'm at work rn and this got me up and moving again. Thank you I shall save this video for future reference
I don't have panic disorder but I've had a couple panic attacks... worst thing ever. The real kicker is that, at least for me, the fear of having another panic attack can itself cause tremendous anxiety. Ugh! I'm sorry you have to go through that kind of thing. It's really cool though that pink noise is helping you level out. We try all kinds of stuff and then, of all things... noise? 🤷♂ Hey, as long as it works!
@@DJGrossman panic attacks are completely normal, as horrible as they feel, they arent dangerous and cant hurt you. the only thing that makes them worse is trying to avoid them. if u happen to have one in the future, just ride it out and let your body learn that they are safe to have and they should slowly start to fade away.
@@Sygem Personally, I wouldn't call them "normal" since not everyone has them and they're very disruptive, but you're totally right that they can't hurt you and that the fear of a panic attack does needlessly make the whole phenomenon worse! 😖 I have tools for getting through that kind of stuff these days, but it takes a lot of practice... and even then, sometimes things just don't go as planned. 🤷♂ As long as we remember that adrenaline rushes can't last forever (usually 45 minutes at most), we have something to hold out for. 👍
Same. I always thought "white noise" described all static-type noises, but then I discovered that quite a few others have been identified and given names. Quite interesting!
@@Allisonveer Huh, that's weird. To be honest, I don't check out the "competition" much, so I don't know what all is going on. I see a lot of trashy channels popping up and stealing ideas to make a quick buck, but I don't want to get involved with that crowd - unless they try to pretend they're me, then we have a problem! To your point though, I did the research and can guarantee that what I've posted is what I say it is... with one exception. The one called "White Noise" is more of a soft brown noise, but I only did that because a lot of people think all background static noise is just called white noise, and that's what they go searching for. So hey, at least they find something nice, even though it's technically not accurate. 🤷♂
I've heard a lot of similar stories, which surprises me because I personally think pink noise is pretty rough... but hey, it works! And it works well! 😲 Anyway, you're quite welcome.

I just learned that the pink noise video I sleep to every night has ads that must have been partially waking me up multiple times a night - This video seems like an excellent alternative.
Ew... I'm sorry to hear that. It doesn't make a lot of sense, does it? Why put that stuff smack in the middle of a video meant to help people relax/meditate/sleep/etc.? Either way, glad you found this one instead! 🤘
I've always thought pink noise sounded the most like TV static out of all the colors of noise, too. I guess maybe it depends on the TV we were using, though... 📺
I have problems staying asleep and will wake up at the slightest noise. Since playing this through the night I manage a good 6hr. I've also found it calms my dogs too 👍

I hope this noise gives you some respite and that you're able to be in a better situation as quickly as possible. I know it's tough when you're young and have very little control over your own circumstances.
I have a friend that will never stop talking it seems like whenever I'm over at his place hanging out. It gets to the point where it starts to technically make me angry and full of anxiety because it is ridiculous how much this guy talks. I found with playing this pink noise at 50% volume, for one it doesn't really phase him whatsoever so I don't feel like it's rude but it takes out that annoying frustrating part of his continuous talking and makes it much more manageable. Thank you pink noise your helping me keep my sanity.
I'm happy to hear this is helping you keep the peace and your sanity. I have to wonder, though, if your friend might maybe... you know, lighten up on the verbosity a little? Give everyone a break? 😅 Everyone likes a little quiet now and then...

This is seriously a life-saver! Whenever I study, I get distracted sooo easily, and especially since I love music, I’ll start singing instead of focusing. With this on tho, it clears my head and allows me to focus. Most times I don’t even realize that I’m listening to something and I’m just in my own world of focus!
I love music, too, and have to be really careful about what I play while I'm doing something that requires concentration. If it has lyrics in English, I end up hearing/processing them and can't get anything done! I have the same problem with podcasts and TED Talks, of course. Sometimes the best option really is just a peaceful noise or sound. 😌

I am a 62 years old disabled senior..I have severe anxiety and I go to sleep with numbers and songs going repeatedly through my head... Pain, lupus also...
I feel asleep last night with pink noise and I have clarity and mild energy.. the very best medicine I've had..

You should look into:
Acupuncture
Qigong
Releasing Trauma from your hips type of stretches/yoga
Liposomal Turmeric drops
Somatic stretching
Acupressure mats
Grounding bedsheets
Hope that helps, these are things I have done, on top of counseling, journaling, learning more about myself and it’s been an amazing journey to better health.
This gives me hope as someone who also has anxiety
Best of luck to you.👐
Umm I don’t know if i should be saying this but you might need therapy
It's never to late to clear trauma. Find a nlp trauma therapist or an edmr therapist
@@DJGrossman Thanks DJ
I have to ask you this.. Are you like me and feel instant anger when you can hear people chewing, people breathing heavy, people snoring, people tapping, people whistling, people clicking a pen and so much more? @@beckyb9659 So the "colors of noise" is actually a concept that was established long before I showed up and started making these. 🙂 I merely studied it and used what I learned. You can read all about that here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colors_of_noise
As for the actual creation, I use Audacity (free audio editing software) to craft the sounds and VirtualDub (free video editing software) to stitch everything together.

I used to have a lot of racing thoughts as well, but they've mostly slowed down over the years and that has got to be the #1 reason I can actually fall asleep pretty easily now. And I also hear ya about the tinnitus - pink has been the best for mine, historically.
As for the ads, I'm doing my best! I'm actively in communication with UA-cam about it right now and I'm hoping we can pinpoint what's been going on. I have over a year's worth of complaint comments I've provided to them as proof. 🤷♂️
Thank you so much for this video! Exactly what I needed - no ads & black screen. If I had this when my son was a baby I’d probably have had a lot more sleep 😅
You're quite welcome! 😁 And yeah, bummer about the timing, but at least you've got it now. These can come in handy sometimes.
Thank you for making this video 💚 I have sensory issues (potentially from autism, haven't been screened yet) and studying is so hard for me, even in a mostly quiet library. This video is the reason I can turn my assignments in on time
You're quite welcome! I'm sorry about your struggles, and getting screened is so expensive! 😣 At least this helps a little.
I have adhd which realllyyyy affects my studying. for the first time hearing pink noise, it really felt soothing a perfect background sound for studying, sleeping. Thanks grossman!
I'm happy to hear pink noise has that effect for you. 😄 I use it when my tinnitus gets out of control.
Yeah I understand I've got ADHD ✓ and even OCD ✓
thank you for no ads
You're quite welcome. 😁👍
I find it really hard to sleep because of my separation anxiety but this helps me sleep at any time at anywhere. Thank you❤
Separation anxiety is a tough one. I have little bouts of it myself, but I'm fortunate that it doesn't tend to linger. I'm really glad this helps you manage it and get some rest. 🙂
These tunes are out of this word Dj. You really get the party started
🎧🎶
I clicked onto this video not entirely sure what to expect but got 51 seconds in before feeling too sleepy to resist… after finishing this comment I’ll probably be asleep in about two minutes. that’s the fastest ever in my life, probably?? thank you so much for uploading :D
Woah - well, hooray for life's little surprises! 😂 You're welcome, and wishing you some good deep sleep! 💤
I've never had an issue. No subscription or any premium anything. Thank you
Good, that's how it's supposed to be. No ads means no ads! 😁
Thank god for this! It really calms my baby when he’s unsettled 🥰😍
I'm glad this brings you both a little peace! 😉
If it wasn't for this I wouldn't ever be able to get my 3 and a half month old to sleep and stay asleep for two 6 hour interval. Thank you for making this!!!!
Oh wow, that's some serious sleep at that age! 😲 I'm impressed this has helped you get there. Thank you for sharing! 😁
its a reset for my ears between doing mixing and mastering:*)
I went shopping for cologne in a department store at the mall many, many years ago, and I remember they had me sniff coffee beans (yuck!) to reset my palette between samples. It does seem a bit like that! ☕
This helped me and my sister sleep in less the 40 minutes it’s really nice!
yeah it made me sleep too FOR 6-7HRS while i had a headache
It's cool that pink noise helped you sleep. I normally would stick with brown noise for that, but different things work for each of us!
@@loveletters77 Headaches are the worst! 🤕 Very cool that this helped you get so much sleep despite the headache.
@@DJGrossman ok I’ll try that too
Thank you for uploading ad free black screen pink noise. This is a life saver. My 18 months old settles and sleeps very well when I play this at night.
You are so very welcome! I'm glad this works for them (and by extension, you!). 😄
I think you're an angel for making these with dark screens and no ads. ❤️❤️
Subbing and you'll probably see me in your let's play comments soon :)
Aw, shucks. ☺️ You're welcome! Thank you for the kind words. And if you do watch the LPs, I hope you enjoy them!
i just used this to have a power nap in between prepping food for christmas lunch tomorrow! i’ve never fallen asleep so quickly, and i feel so refreshed 🥺
Oh man you must be so busy 😵💫 but it's very cool that this helped that much! Wow!
Very good.. this stops all the outside interference noises.. I really like this .
💤💤😴😴🙏🙏
Perfect! I'm glad you found a noise that does exactly what you're looking for. 😁
dude, I started using this a couple of weeks ago and honestly I've had such great sleeps. before I used this it would take me hours to get to sleep and I would wake up in the middle of the night. it's absolutely amazing!
Well I'm sorry trying to get to sleep naturally is changing for you, but it's great to hear that this has helped change things for the better! 😁
Can't sleep without background noise. This is brilliant. Works every time. Thanks.
I'm glad pink noise does it for you! I use it for my tinnitus, but if it's helping to knock you out, that's even better. 😁
As someone with ADHD this seriously calms me and slows my brain in so many ways. I can finally sleep steady again, tysm for the no ads too!!!
When I started uploading these, I had no idea they would be so helpful for so many people - and those with ADHD, in particular! It's been fun to learn how it all lines up. Anyway, you're very welcome and I'm happy to hear how this benefits you! 😄
Becoming my favorite sound for sleep & the 12 hours is great .Thank you .
Fantastic. 🙂 You're quite welcome!
Wow literally took seconds and my 5week old fussy baby is fast asleep 😍
That's got to be a record. 😲 Nice!
Wanted to jump on and say thank you for your channel! Not only is it my goto for meditation, but it was really clutch when my office experienced a power outage, and our noise machines didn't work. I was still able to have therapy with one of your white noise vids playing on my cell by the door, and my client's privacy was protected. Thank you! Much appreciated. ❤
That is so cool! I love hearing about how these noises are used. I mean, it's not cool that the power went out, but you know what I mean. 😅 Thank you for sharing!
Me & my 2 year old listen to this exact video every single night to go to sleep & I leave it on all night, and have done since he was about 6 months old! Thank you 😊
Aww that is so cool 😄 thank you for sharing that with me. I'm glad it's become a helpful nightly thing for you!
