Great video - was a lot of help! I dismantled everything thanks to your video and ran the test. The pump is not OL on the ohm meter so I know it is working. The ice maker started making a grinding noise -- comes from somewhere up top. Any ideas? The water line is good and power is good. Looks like the water is not flowing in the fat tube to the left (inside). The obvious problem would be the recirc pump but the grinding noise is higher up (and not at the pump). Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Curious what is the black box attached to the bottom of the reservoir? The older models didn’t have that. Is it something to drain the water after a cycle instead of only relying on overflowing the reservoir to dilute the impurities?

Great video, but not at all what the title indicates. I was hoping to troubleshoot my recirculating pump because it was working fine, I replaced the hose to the water distribution assembly and then it stopped working. The pump is humming, just not turning. I'd rather fix it if possible than purchase an new one. This video is only about installing a new one, but it claims to be about troubleshooting. Great video, regardless. I love the popup warnings. Excellent production quality.
What is the problem when it recirculates water over the evaporator plate for just a short time 2 minutes and shuts down. It appears after 10 minutes the interior box seem warm.

Did you get a solution? I have the same issue
My pump is pumping, but super loud. Does that mean it is beginning to fail? Or does something need to be tightened?

I replaced the pump and it's getting voltage but it's still not running did you ever resolve this?

@@Appliancevideo well that's a garbage answer. It's a 12v DC pump. So there's a transformer in the guts of the machine somewhere.
@@adammcghee1466 Lol, yeah it was also called "diagnostic"... where was the diagnostic checking the voltage etc. lol
@@XXXGaaraFan2013XXX69 exactly!!!
@@adammcghee1466it's an ac pump there's a step down ac transformer, I tested voltage ac and DC and only read ac voltage to the recirc pump
