I remember reading an interview and rolling stone in 1980 after that movie came out I was 12 years old and Paul ZAZA a very famous Canadian producer did the music for the movie prom night he also did the music from the movie the soundtrack from curtains 1983 another slasher flick and he did the soundtrack for My bloody Valentine in 1981 and he did music for other movies in the 1980s and unfortunately he passed away in 2002 but he took this song and mixed it himself and did the song during the chase scene with the character Wendy in the red dress on the movie prom night it's called time to turn around put your feet back on the ground now that song has this same music Just lyrics are DIFFERENT ; so what Paul did was very smart thing he asked Patrick if he can have permission to cover his song and just change the words but use the same music and Patrick gave him permission I read that rolling Stone in August 1980 also he did the music for the movie deadly friend starring Christy Swanson Buffy from Buffy the vampire Slayer the movie not the series the TV series was Sarah Michelle Gellar . Also in that movie is Albert from Little House on the prairie deadly friend 1986. Now Paul also orchestrated the music for Shakespeare's Macbeth that went on at Carnegie Hall and every single theater here in Manhattan on the upper East side all the way to the Bronx every single borough even Long Island Suffolk county every theater got that rendition of Macbeth and Paul ZAZA he did the music and this is the most famous version ever brought to the stage of Macbeth towards the end of the play after Lady Macbeth sends her husband the king of Denmark off to battle to his death he gives her a diamond as a gift and of course she goes insane with guilt and as she is saying ; out damn spot ! Out I say ! Then Paul uses the inherent nightmarish qualities of disco music during that entire scene and that made that play the best rendition of Shakespeare's Macbeth ! And , has anybody else noticed that THIS video is sped up ?? I noticed it because Im a classical trained pianist and been playing piano since I was five years old. and I know the timing of any music BECAUSE I play piano by ear 👂 and this video is sped up by 4 seconds .
