Hey Jayda! I’ve been watching you for awhile now and I’m really proud of you for sticking with school and doing what you love. As someone who is a bit older I would like to offer some advice. Many times in your previous vlogs I’ve heard you complain about the school and the teachers and how much you hate being there. Word to the wise: don’t bash or express your disdain so openly if you’re going to continue to go there. And that goes for a school, a job, or any other institution. You have almost 300k followers and I’m sure people from your hometown make up some of those followers. You never know who could be watching you here on UA-cam and going back telling instructors what you said. Hell, the instructors may even be watching lol. They could be plotting against you all because of what you said in a vlog! You never know. I’ve known of people saying they hate their jobs on IG or FB and getting fired because of that. Moving forward, I would suggest venting your frustration to your family or friends while you’re still there and once you get that degree/certification…Baaabbbyyy they ALL can get it!! Give us a story time or something and give us allllll the tea!!But for now just be mindful of what you put out for the world to see. I enrolled in esthetician school after graduating college, and withdrew. I wasn’t feeling it. As you stated, the staff are inconsistent, rude and unprofessional. It almost felt like I was back in high school. And as a college graduate, I wasn’t with it.
It’s going to be ok .. Just keep praying through school you almost to the finish line 🫶🏾 .. We are proud you even made it this far. Don’t beat yourself .. like you said we are humans you live and your learn and you are still learning.

I have experienced the same thing!!!! I think it just depends on the program honestly. The first beauty school I went to was empire and it was very unprofessional very similar to high school. Even the instructors acted immature.
I recently started at a different beauty school again a few months ago. I found it is a better program. I wish they had more apprenticeship options in my city. But I hope you all keep looking for the perfect fit if that's your passion. ❤

One thing about school in general I hate when they try to dictate what you can do as if you aren’t grown or have outside obligations 😭 SPECIALLY since we’re either going to school on cash payments, school loans, financial aid and or scholarships. I have a purpose, pls don’t make it seem like something it isn’t and I’m just “getting over”😭!

You can try chickpea noodles with your Alfredo. ( be prepared to try different ones because some of them taste super plane) And noodles with cassava flour. There is a popcorn brand called Lesser Evil and I switched to them because traditional popcorn was making my stomach upset and I felt like wasn’t good for my health. They use coconut oil to pop a popcorn. I get them at Whole Foods.

KS has always had a bad name. I grad from Cosmetology school at Denmark Technical College. I passed state board test the first time but my cousin went to KS in Orangeburg, it took her 4 times before she passed. I graduated back in the 90’s and KS hasn’t changed. So happy you’re out of there.

Omg Jayda I attend kenneth Shuler in South Carolina and let me tell you. I do evening classes and they treat us like KIDS. We have to get tardy slips if we are late(people have jobs and real life things going on they can’t prevent) they don’t care. It’s sad and disgusting how they treat us and the students are always complaining. We get sent home for the littlest thing. We are adults at the end of the day. No communication within that franchise at all. The students have no motivation and they wonder why we don’t wanna participate in school activities because we not getting treated right. I sympathize wit you this is crazy. The school doesn’t keep teachers or administrators smh. I started in April of this year and seen two directors and financial aide and have had 4 teachers cycle out. Sorry for the long rant but girl I promise it’s happening at other schools and we tired of it. I also wanna say u have been watching you for a very long time and seen your growth. Keep pushing you almost there and I know you gone feel a big relief once that final clock out happens. We proud of you. You had a moment which I’m sure you had a right to stand up for yourself. On your temu haul, I believe that is a glass puncher. Like if you’re trapped in a car, you can use that and itll break the window. You push it into the window and it will break it, not like punching the glass but applying pressure… Question? If you exceeded the hours needed to graduate, why do you still need to be there? I hear you saying you missed days, but I’m still not understanding if you have more than the hours needed.
I exceeded the contracted hrs that I paid for . Even if you don’t show up to school , you’re still scheduled ! We’re hour based so you only get credit for what you get clocked in for , buuuut once you go over your contract time you have to pay ! I missed hella days , that I was paying for essentially if that makes sense .
