I appreciate it when folks make an effort to learn the scientific names. Not everyone is a scientist, I get it, but it's taking a step towards 'taking this seriously' (and I would argue: being taken seriously). Freshwater aquarists, reptile keepers, and hardcore plant people have been doing this for a long time. I also can't really prove this... But I'd bet an emphasis on trade names lends itself to FOMO and people getting swindled. There's gotta be advertising psychology studies out there supporting the idea that something like "Tie-Dye Candy chalice" probably gets you subconsciously more excitable than "Echinopora with two or three(ish) colors". By the way, I've been reading Charlie (JEN) Veron's "Corals in Space & Time" and my mind has been blown regarding reticulated evolution. The further I dig into coral taxonomy, the more comically messy it is. It's a HUGE mess for so many reasons.
This is the episode I've been waiting for haha, absolutely love learning taxonomy, thank you! Could you also please share links to online resources recommended for studying coral taxonomy?
Seriato mean Serious, Seria mean a series. Signed the guy that correct Sean and celebrate each victory :P. Fun fact, When Sean see your message in IG, it's say seen, sean seen, it's awkwardly similar, yet in English sean pronounce "chan" while bean pronouce "bin", go figure latin language.
I'd love to get into the complexity of something like OBS, however this is Streamyard. Built for speed. It allows for recording separate audio/video channels within the platform which is nice. ~Remy
Thanks, Remy! Way to go! Please continue with this subject! Do it again every month! Cheers!🙏

54:16 the methods used to construct phylogenetic trees from genetic data could maybe be seen as sorting AIs?
Great to see Mr. Gay back on RT! Bring back Mr. van der Wal!!!!

You'll have to convince Mark! I keep on asking him but I think he might be in hibernation mode on the hobby. ~Remy

Heck yeah! We were always afraid the connection would be delayed but it was good! ~Remy
