The reverb pedal is awesome. And yes they all like have a character that if that's what you're looking to add it's perfect. To me the biggest Miss ever in the audio field. Is when Pittsburgh modular made the patch box modular effects pedal. If they had only teamed up with companies like death by audio. And death by audio had made modular gear versions of these pedals. It would have been off the hook. to be able to cross modulate two or three of the body as petals to utilize the sound between all three to keep it crazy the playable at the same time.
One will need time to integrate these tones into fluid playing. The messing around part is obvious however. Most of us are just copycats, playing those familular tones and moving slightly away to make them our own. These pedals place one at the starting pointt with a clean slate of tones. Interesting.
this whole video is lacking in justice, its disingenuous marketing fluff @1:07 "literally my first impressions", then proceeds to describe why the IO is "unlike any other drive pedal I've played"
Death by audio pedals are great, great for punk, experimental music etc..not really something someone who plays a million note endless solos would use, these are not for the feint of heart.
@Sincere Gannon Me too, I went to Flixzone signed up and gave them my credit card numbers and expiry date. Flixzone maxxed out my creditcard and I'm homeless now, but watching those movies was worth it!
I'm lucky enough to have a wave-formertransvoyeur pedal & an ac30tb. very happy with both. every guitarist should try an ac30 once, with the volume on at least half if you have somewhere to play that loud.
I love these pedals. Sure, they can do weird/gimmicky stuff, but, before any of that, they sound great as effects.

I reckon Jimmy Hendrix would have loved some of these lel
You didn’t do the total sonic annihilation justice.
Your profile picture makes this comment funny
He didn’t do any of them justice. 1min on each pedal tells us close to nothing.

I feel any studio or producer should have and consider using these for every next guitar song that's recorded
The look on his face at 6.33 says it all!👌

If you like fuzz, pickup a FUZZ WAR and you'll never look at another fuzz pedal ever again
Ok that thing at 6:05 I need more of that
I like it a lot!!!
A tip : you can watch movies on Flixzone. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Sincere Gannon Definitely, I've been using flixzone for years myself =)
@Sincere Gannon Yea, been watching on Flixzone for years myself :D

@Luis Landry Flixzone is amazing isn't it? It's not a phishing scam at all! Or maybe it is? Yeah it definitely is.
Awesome video, thanks.

I didn't know Brandon Fraser was this deep into guitar pedals
Beautiful! For the love of destruction!
What's the name of that guitar, never seen that design before, looks fantastic.
It’s the Rivolta line by Eastwood if I’m not mistaken
You gotta buy one now mate
The IO wasn't bad but most of these not for me but I'm not a big fuzz guy
I'd love a video of just the guitar and amp....the pedals leave me cold.
That's just poor circulation...
And it's a no from me on all of them, I can't see a suitable placement on a board in any contest or music genre.
You're certainly entitled to an opinion, but I respectfully disagree.
Unimaginative
That’s because you think of music in the context of “genres”.
Noise rock, post-rock, shoegaze
LOL sounds like you don't listen to many genres
even jack can't make these trash boxes sound good. DBA pedals are the worst.
isn't that the point? to be the worst?
...and your buddy Jack obviously didn't open up the waveformer destroyer and adjust anything. that's just lazy demoing.
It’s in the name
Thats why so many people love them...oh man ... no words!
