- Episode 121 of my single player playthough of Wartales. I've got a bit of experience from playing multiplayer with Rainge so you might be able to pick up some tips and tricks from this gameplay to help you out! This is from the first two patches after the 1.0 release aka the Community Updates 1 and 2 as well as the latest DLC Pirates of Belerion.

Watching the Arena start and them tell you "You must use a pugilist"?
Uh... What?????
No, what are you doing AI NPC woman??
What are you thinking?!
You reminded him he HAS a pugilist he could bring?!
WHY would you do that to yourself?!
He WILL recall their special move that can be used once per battle!
Laurelwill is bad enough, but she's designed to hit 2-3 engaged enemies so her single target damage is spaced out a bit.
Benest is the LAST thing you want to face your "at most 4 guys" and then "One big champion".
So WHY did you remind him that Benest exists?!
He's a streamer! He'd have forgotten and used the squad he used before pugilists existed...
(You know I'm right on that one. Sorry; but it's just the truth there.)
I mean, sure he'd still win with his normal squad; but it wouldn't look like you didn't even try.
Why volunteer to lose that badly, and demand he embarrass you like that?

Side note: I might not have been surprised by the way that went.
But even I didn't think you'd stomp the Champion in Extreme in the first round with half your guys not having their turn yet.
I mean... that was a bit beyond even the excess I expected.
And it could have been worse. Benest on the groups of 4 going first? He can take out 2 easily, leading with his special ability. Maybe three if they're the less armored ones?
I think you could have had a "Laurelwill cannot move" challenge and succeeded on turn one anyhow.
Yeah that bravery is silly and fun. It makes sense they force a pugilist since it's the new class in the DLC so they want you have one and use him etc. But yeah I wouldn't have used him for sure if I wasn't forced.
Man Benest is broken haha. That bravery is just nasty. He’s quickly becoming my favorite character.
Yeah, I don't think anything can survive the pugilist bravery. So much damage
@@BonkGaming210 like I wouldn’t be mad to see another pugalist join the party. Those guys are freakin units.
Although probably make sure you already have armor snd weapons ready for him haha. That poor swordsman. We hardly knew him.
@@ArtemisAlphaling Yeah that was an oopsie... Pugilists do completely lack AoE, they are like having another ranger but slightly different. Realistically I don't think I can fit another even though I also like the fantasy and feel of the class. We'll see how the rest of the DLC plays out though. Maybe once i get spikes on my frontliners boat fights will become much easier and I can be a lot more loose with my roster.

Ahh yes that makes sense. They do amazing single target. Then again with Kault around do you tell need more aoe when you have the aoe god in human form with him around? Hehe.
@@ArtemisAlphaling Yeah crazy how extreme vs expert doesn't matter for him.
