Holy crap. My friend brought that guitar into Elderly for that restoration and shared the video. Absolutely amazing.
Elderly instruments is such a great resource for Bluegrass Music. You guys have it all. I enjoyed every minute of this rebuild. Off to it's new home. Job well done. Joe really knows what he's doing. 🇺🇸🎩🇺🇸🎩🇺🇸
Great work and the cleaning gave it a breath of fresh air...a gem!
Sounds and looks great, a nice piece of history for sure. I hope someone that plays ends up with it! So many great pre-war instruments are in collectors vaults dying away. A guitar is a living thing and needs play to keep it awake!!
Beautiful guitar and work
True craftsmanship.
Wonderful sound from that beautiful guitar and sweet playing to bring it to life.
That guitar is pure magic now !!!!
Great guitar, excellent work, these are getting hard to find, sounds amazing, great video.
I've been watching and marvelling. Was that, like, a year ago this started ? Love Elderly. This work was AMAZING. Thank you.
Great video. Thank you.
Dang!!! Near 80 years old!! Remarkable!!!
Sounds great!!! 👍🎵😎
Sweet really nice tunes too thankyou
Sounds great
Awesome look 18!
Very cool , Joe. Would love to hear how you replaced bridge plate. I have an old Kay that needs a new one. Thanks much.
I purchased a 1939 D-18 authentic. Hopefully it will patina like this in 83 years
I enjoy these videos. It has been 3 months since the last. Any plans for more?
Yes, sorry for the extended break. We have scheduled and canceled video shoots a few times over the last two months due to logistics issues. Joe and I plan to film tomorrow morning, so keep holding on and thanks for watching! -A.J.
Could you share the rough cost of this restoration? If I ever find one of these in an old attic (in my dreams) I want it refurbished just like this!
Still waiting for the next project in the shop
With the holidays and increased COVID precautions, Joe and I have decided to hold filming until January. I saw a few potential instruments that we may be filming, he's got some cool projects lined up! Thanks for watching. -A.J.
When will you broadcast the next Instrument in the shop?
Sorry for the delay. We'll be back in February.
What strings on the guitar
My Father passed on and gave me his Martin acoustic guitar I'm not a fan of acoustic and would like to purchase an electric guitar with the money I get from the acoustic is that logical / prudent
He struggling to play that Martin.
Oh hell, why cant that guy tune the guitar? Suggest he stop playing, it makes me sick and real angry. 👎
HOW REDICULES THIS GUY WEARING A FACE MASK .😅
That's what you're worried about. Guy can do whatever he wants
