Niners fan here, absolutely love the vids. Especially when people are now noticing Purdy, I've been on the Purdy train since preseason saying this stuff and people used to roast me for it. It feels great to see more people open their eyes to the kid and put some respect on his name. Said this for weeks, with the weapons we have on Offense, there should be no reason we shouldn't be putting up about 30ppg, Purdy is averaging over 30ppg with this offense. He utilizes all of our receivers, Kettle doesn't have to block all the time now because we have a qb that can handle pressure, Juice is getting plays, Ray Ray, Aiyuk is getting great receptions, EVERYONE is being used and it makes it hard for teams to key in on players.
I came back to your reactions from last year to see the difference between Purdy then and Purdy now. Big difference. He's much better now...

9:21 I'm a year late to seeing this, but let me fill you in on the answer to that question. (Even though you've no doubt already heard what I'm about to say, I'm gonna say it anyways.) Purdy was a 3 year starter in the toughest division of high school football in the state of Arizona. He was a two time Gatorade player of the year for AZ, including his senior year. He had to wait to get an offer to play college ball. He ended up choosing to go to Iowa State and was the 3rd stringer as a true freshman. The starter got injured and the 2nd string guy couldn't get the job done, so Purdy was given the nod. He ended up being a 4 year starter for the Cyclones. He also helped them to the 1st 4 year span of winning seasons since the 1920s (almost 100 years ago). Many overlooked him because he played for a "lesser" school in the Big 12, and only stands at 6 foot 1 inch. He doesn't have a cannon for an arm, but he does have a good arm that still can sling it down the field with great accuracy. We're just now starting to see what he's capable of, and we're going to be seeing it for years to come (as long as he stays healthy).
Aiyuk is #1 receiver but Deebo is a unique weapon. Aiyuk = Wide Receiver. Deebo = Wideback. CMC = Runceiver
Jimmy G averaged ~22.1 pts/game whereas Purdy is at ~33.2 pts/game

To answer some of your questions, Aiyuk is 100% a better traditional WR than Deebo. Deebo on the other hand is just a pure Offensive Weapon of YAC and a runaway train of business decisions, with the ball in his hands. Both are average at Route running allthough Aiyuk seems to be improving alot faster than Deebo in that regard. Hell, I'd even go as far to say CMC got better routes than Deebo does.
As for DPOY, it's Bosa for sure. Whether it be sacks or forcing turnovers when the money's on the line, nobody's nastier than Bosa in those moments. Pretty straight forward there.
As for Purdy vs Jimmy, I think Purdy is a more mobile younger version of Jimmy with more of an arm down field. He's playing better than Jimmy, hands down. That being said, everyone wants to credit Purdy with the massive shift in Niners Offensive production but that's a bit misleading IMO. The real unsung hero, the massive catalyst was the addition of CMC. Niners Offense was scoring some odd 21 points a game on average before CMC came. After the trade, they instantly shot up to 30.5 Points a game on average. CMC is downright filthy.

Brock Purdy definitely has played better than Jimmy so far. Jimmy was the reason we lost in 2019 and 2021 in the playoffs. All this kid gotta do is not suck pretty much and he's an upgrade from last year

Aiyuk definitely showed potential and signs o greatness the last couple season, but this year be definitely broke out his shell. Mitchell was so excited because these were his firs 2 touchdowns of the season since he was out for so long.

Aiyuk from Arizona st iirc. I think he's our best route runner. Deebo is just a monster with the ball.
As for Purdy v Garrapolo, I think Purdy is better. He's better in the pocket, can move to extend plays, and hits the 12-15 yard passes that Jimmy rarely tries to throw which opens up the running game because we're not throwing 3-5 yard dink n dunks. It makes opposing defenses looser in the box so we move the ball more consistently.

All it is that has made Purdy play better than Jimmy G is this:
-Purdy will throw the ball into the end zone accurately, while Jimmy G is more risk averse and more likely to check it down, turning the 49ers to a team that takes lots of field goals to one that scores touchdowns.
-He can move, turning sacks into throwaways or completions.
-He will throw to the open guy down the field even if the first read is also open.
That's basically been the difference.

Aiyuk came from the Buckner trade 1st round pick. Another great job by the Santa Clara front orofice. Not really the west coast offense anymore. Shanny Daddy took large parts of it then made it basically run to setup the pass. The original west coast O was pass to setup the run. Great job dude, fun to watch. I hate the AFc, just sayin, lol. I remember the stupid AFL football, lol. For a cpl years in teh early 70s that was the football all of us poor kids got because it was on sale, lol.

Brock Purdy is playing how Jimmy G first played when he signed to SF ppl would compare his moving skills and throws like Joe Montana in 2017 via sports analysts. All this was before he got injured he ain’t never been the same since his ALC injury he stopped making moves. Jimmy G was making moves in 2019 season too. Brock Purdy is playing the hope Jimmy G was when he was first at SF. Looking forward to seeing Brock Purdy progress and stay on his game. He’s talented for sure! Hoping he don’t get injured tho . Excited to see the 49ers winning. Hoping they go all the way for that 6th Super Bowl. It seems attainable! It’s time they go get their SB.
