- My Lowes in Massachusetts gardening zone 6b currently has a beautiful selection of concrete garden statuary! These pieces cost a fraction of the price buying them at Lowes, versus buying them at High End Nurseries and Statuary Retailers. Laura at Garden Answer frequently uses gorgeous concrete pieces in her garden. While those pieces come from more high end retailers like Unique stone, or Campania international, we can recreate some of these looks on a budget in our own gardens with these pieces from Lowes. That's cool. I actually have a concrete bench like that and want to get a couple more to set up by our ponds!
I look at all these items all the time however most are always chipped or broken
We did get the big concrete tall urns flower pot at a discount because they were broken
We did get the turtle
Certainly not the quality of Unique Stone.

We bought the lab puppy as a memorial in our garden where we had our chocolate lab put down in his favorite place. We are going to get a small memorial stone made to go next to it. Such a sweet reminder 💕

I have 2 different poses of the frogs and adore them.
I like the idea of using evergreens in the pots. Nice that the pieces are similar color of concrete so they match. I agree about the rabbit. They can be so destructive. Great vid, thanks.
My great pests are the deer. A lot of building, commercial, residential, and senior living is going on just 1/2 mile from me. With the habitat loss, the deer are moving into the neighborhood. They are eating my roses (no David Austin roses for me) plus other plants that they used to ignore like liriope.

NOOOOOOOO I am so jealous!!! Our Lowes (I can check several) never, ever have statuary!!! Love how you put the plants in it!
We added the giant tortoise several years ago to the front garden. He was a great addition. We then added the standing angel to which we added a spotlight to light her up at night. Just last year, we added the tall urns to my formal garden. I change them out with the seasons. I did add a square upright base to them from a statuary place to add height to them. This year I found a beautiful English style teak bench to place between them. Think I will add the bunny next. Wish they had a collie dog statue. I do not care for the bulldog they have had for a couple of years.
I love see what other Lowes carry. Ours have a lot of concrete products but they don’t have as much as yours
I have that hummingbird bird bath and it’s a favorite with my smaller birds and at night I have screech owls bathing in it. I positioned a trail camera near it and caught all the visitors. I have a deeper concrete bird bath in another area that gets very different birds. It’s in a shady spot beneath some trees and within easy reach of a hose to keep it filled and clean. I love it!

I have the small concrete urns. They are filled with coleus and nemesia. I haven’t had issues with pooling water.

The prices have jumped considerably on Lowes statuary from less than a year ago. The benches originally sold at 49.00

Some great concrete products! Going to check out Lowe’s here in Canada and see what they have. Just a tip for anyone who’s never had unsealed, natural (light) concrete garden decor before - the interior where water sits will discolour, quite substantially.
I spent a fortune on a lovely bird bath / cupped hands statue from one of the more pricey concrete retailers (bought the smallest one so I could afford it!) and in one summer, it’s almost a copper colour inside. I need to scrub it down, disinfect it and then seal it but it’ll be too late to salvage the light grey colour now. So look into bird-friendly concrete sealers or consider a darker stained concrete piece as I imagine you won’t have to worry so much about staining.
If anyone has any sealer reco’s, pls let me know!

I'm searching for a concrete plant base to set a pot/urn on. Around 8" or 10" surface, not too tall. Do you have any ideas? Thx so much. cgzone8
Hi there! Other than these I saw at Lowes, I'm not sure where else they could be found. I would recommend checking your local nurseries, or google "statuary near me", You could also, stack some paving stones or bricks in a square, on a shape that would make a sturdy base for the size pot your looking to set on it. Good luck!
Yes incredible, but not all of us have someone to do that very heavy lifting.
I agree, I have a bad back, and so I stay away from planters like these and stick to mostly plastic/resin these days. And even those filled with soil are heavy. I do however love and appreciate the look of these concrete pieces, and I know others do also. So I wanted to show that there are some affordable options out there. These concrete peices have to be planned for. Help to transport and place, and then it really has to be a set it in place, and forever hold your peace situation. Once filled with dirt, they are essentially permantly placed.
Which location of LOWE is selling ?I just went to the Lowe at Vaughan.Nothing at all.
This was in Massachusetts. However I was there this weekend and they no longer have them.

Bummer! But I did include links in the description of the video. You could pop in your zip code and see if any stores close to you but outside your normal lowes might carry any.
They might be cheap but the quality is not good. Look at the pits,chips and cracks. The aging, staining process is rushed. The quality of the concrete mix will determine how long it last. If you go look at quality statuary from local smaller places the difference in quality will be apparent. The planters are nice.

Right, only some carry these items. You can always enter your zip code in the store website for any items you might want to look for (I posted links in the description of the task), and see if any stores within a certain range carry them.
