We finally have it in our hands, the new Gibson Les Paul Supreme! Released last year but with very few available in the wild, the new Gibson Les Paul Supreme represents the very top of the modern collection production Les Paul that is available outside of the Gibson Custom Shop. It hosts a number of custom style touches like a contoured heel on the neck and a compound fretboard radius. The AAA flamed maple top is available in three striking finishes while the ebony fingerboard and headstock are adorned with special mother of pearl super split block inlays. Burstbucker Pro pickups and versatile switching options make this one of the most gig ready Les Pauls every made. Check out our full review!

It’s a coil tap. You can hear it effect the sound when you pull the volume pot, but there’s no change to the resistance. It’s odd

I feel like the Supreme should have a mini-humbucker in the neck position. I think I've seen that in the past and that would be my preferred configuration.

I want more vivid colors. This is Modern with an inlay option added. Gibson is currently restructuring their lineup, rising prices and the 130th anniversary year.

I love the look of that guitar, but the gold hardware looks awful on it. Chrome would have been a million times better.
