Valentina Petrillo, a 50-year-old Italian sprinter who transitioned from a man to a woman in 2019, will be competing in the women's T12 classification for 200m and 400m.
Fiona: “There is no world in which anyone thinks it can be fair that when you get too old for male sprinting, you then become a female sprinter.”

You would think so, well if you are normal that is and not looking for an advantage.
I'd further that by saying also no XX who identifies as a male and is on male hormone treatments would be allowed to compete in women's sports events.

That's how it used to be before this was changed a couple years ago.
I mean I'd say just have categories not based on gender at all but on the phsyical attributes. If you are a slight little man you wouldn't be put in a ring with a massive chunky woman right? Or a little man wouldn't be against a big man. So just measure their attributes. Shoulder width height and strength like give them a test of their muscles and then match them up like for like and let the skills decide the outcome.
1. Khelif was born with xy chromosomes with DSD 5-ARD deficiency.. Internal testes and no ovaries ... As such, Khelif was misassigned at birth as a female .. same as Caster Semenya and Brittany Griner ...
2. When Khelif reached puberty, his xy chromosomes kicked in (specifically the y chromosome) releasing normal male levels of testosterone from internal testes and resulting in all the attributes associated with being a male (muscle mass, bone density, lung capacity, larger heart, broader shoulders, deeper voice, etc) .. just look at the video of Khelif walking around Paris .. major broad shoulders and a typical male gait ..
3. In 2023, Khelif was banned by the IBA for not meeting the female division sex requirements .. ie. Not having xx chromosomes ... Khelif initially appealed this decision but then abandoned it .. when a simple cheek swab would easily prove whether Khelif was xx or xy ... The fact Khelif chose NOT to fight the IBA ban or take this simple test is very telling, if not damning .. hiding behind a dubious passport is not proof of anything..
4. In 2024, Khelif decides to compete as a woman in the Olympics, knowing the IOC has a loophole in not requiring actual proof that women are xx chromosomal.. Instead, a passport will do, which is zero proof at all !
5. Any empathy for Khelif I had disappeared upon learning he is gaming the system by KNOWING he is xy chromosomal and STILL deciding to use his xy size/muscle/power advantage to beat up xx women .. the power advantage difference between men and women is massive (one paper cited a 162% difference!) ..
6. The IOC banned Caster Semenya in the 2024 Olympics for having naturally high testosterone (but ignoring why this is occurring ie. xy chromosomes) ... yet allows Khelif, Lin, and Griner to compete ... the inconsistency is mind-boggling
7. Algeria should be ashamed knowing full well they are exploiting the IOC's incompetence and willful woke ignorance, instead of actual solid recognized facts and science.
8. Their egregious decision (IOC) could lead to serious injuries, or even death, to actual xx female athletes. It's just insane.

@@lindalaw5466 (1) Jenner lives in a country where the gender marker in the passport doesn't HAVE to match the sex assigned at birth. This is not the case in Algeria.
(2) good luck getting an Algerian passport in anything other than the sex assigned at birth.

They don't seem to appreciate that when you sue someone, that person is entitled to discovery. In this case, the person could be forced to prove they are female, or they weren't in fact defamed.

I would expect Elon's and JKR's case will be they believe Imane is not female, based on the IBA gender test and (let's be honest) his appearance. I know some will say "But Russians, corruption, blah", but that doesn't get away from the fact that the IBA only allowed XX boxers in the female division, the tests were done in Turkey and India, the Algerians signed off and accepted the result (documented), and did not challenge the ruling and get a re-test done somewhere else. You'd think that would be a major priority, even after the event! So all in all, I'd say that not accepting Imane as female could be legally classed as a "reasonable belief", not a slur. What line will the Algetians take - "You must believe my passport, because the IOC did". I can't see the type of lawyers JKR and Musk can afford just accepting that without a fight. There will have to be new, independent and very tightly monitored tests. That is the only way to end this.

From what I understand from all the news stories, the two boxers are actually males with birth defects. Instead of micro penis, they developed no penis. Out of billions of babies born, it’s bound to happen. Much like some babies have developed two vaginas, or two penises. Very rare, but also very documented.

ssshhh be quite you as a 190cm 115kg abled body male i was going to identify as a disabled lightweight womens boxer and or weightlifter so i can come home with a handful of olympic gold medals

it's much worse now. The 2 boxers have a genetic failure which makes them intersexual. It gives them an advantage and they shouldn't be able to compete against women, but at least they are born this way.

The rules need to be make the same across the board, that if you have XY chromosomes that you can not compete in woman's sports.

For me the Paris Olympics is tainted by the Olympic Committee not admitting they made a mistake and did not vet the male boxers. Sad and it looks like this isn't the end of it. A travesty and injustice to women.

Failure to provide simple gene tests in disputed situations is surely equivalent to failure to provide drug tests. How a DSD athlete was raised is a social issue; how an XY athlete performs is a physical issue, which the IOC is expected to address if it wants the games to have a future.

It’s not that sad. They were told a couple of years ago that they failed their sex tests, and they knew they were men. They decided to compete anyway.

But there are some many cases of XY female competing in XX female sports.
Fairly obvious why. It’s not cheating to punch up and no biological woman is stupid enough to do it even if they identify as a man. If they did they wouldn’t do well enough to get to the olympics because they are not as strong or fast as biological men.

An Ultrasound scan would also reveal their genetic biological reproductive system. If there are obvious testes clearly recognisable on the inside then at puberty the body developed as a male in accordance with 5he chromosomes. Therefore cheek swab and the scan would clarify this once and for all.

I think if we could hear Imane's voice, we would know if/that he went through a male puberty. Once the voice drops, it never goes back up (ask any male-to-female). Also, it's interesting that the trans athlete is Italian in the Para case (shoe on other foot, versus Imane's female Italian competitor).
There are plenty of interviews with Imane Khelif. I'm sure finding one on UA-cam where you can hear her voice will be easy

I reckon the case would get thrown out, because the first thing the defiance lawyer will ask (other than this case be demised) is that they so a sex test, with three different samp[es being taken. The boxer will refuse and it will get thrown out, in my humble opnion. He was already told that he was a male and apparently was very distraught (understandably) But it is the facts as we know it and he isn't willing to refute them scientifically only with pictures and a hand written passport???? OMG. This is so ridiculous! My husband and I were making fun of this whole situation just last night. We were saying that, at this point, any perfectly normal person can state that they IDENTIFY AS BEING IMPAIRED and voilà! They can take home the gold! Pure insanity. As much as I hate to penalize these true wonderful athletes (I mean the ones with integrity - not the ones who live on Clown Planet), I really do hope the Olympics go belly-up.
Aren't testosterone tests a standard part of drug testing? It seems odd that they wouldn't be banned for breaking the glass ceiling of testosterone limits.
