Best shoe I’ve ever put my foot in, and I’ve tried plenty. Hokas, brooks, ASICS, ultraboost. I tried 1080v13 when first released but for some reason thought heel was slipping. Went back 5-6 months later because of a hunch of just wanting to try one more time. Glad I did! Gel Nimbus 25 my workout but 1080 v13 are my everything else even workout sometime.
Same. I tried on dozens of brands and models...nothing stacked up to these shoes. As an older runner/walker that cushioning is important for our joints! 😅 These shoes make me want to walk all day. Yay!
I Have done about 500km in it... really cushy and comfortable. But this is not a fast shoe in any way. it is also very durable as the outsole is very well rubbered.
Most of shoes are not in wide, I have normal width but definitely not narrow to say, some people said these fit tight. Would you recommend wide ? Or did these fit good ? Awesome review !
Thank you! These are definitely true to size- if you have normal width feet, go with your usual sizing in the normal width. More details here: www.trailandkale.com/gear/new-balance-1080-v13-review/
@@trailandkale I honestly just looked at various reviews and like many, I believed the shoes with the most hype. I wish I didn’t. I have tested many shoes for running and the NB1080 v13 are absolutely the BEST for me. I’m a heavier runner at 238Lbs and these do not hurt me at all. The side of my feet are not squeezed nor the top. Another pair I absolutely love are the ASICS NOVABLAST 4.
Hey 👋🏼 the Skyward is definitely a faster shoe but the 1080 has a place in any runners rotation for those easy miles where you want to lay off the pace and enjoy some recovery mileage while keeping legs feeling fresh
i want to love this: soft midsole, premium upper. but the good things are also their downside: its softness makes my foot ache and the upper are so thick its too hot to wear.
Ah that’s a shame you didn’t get on well with them, are you looking for something a bit more responsive so the a more lightweight upper? I can recommend a few if you’d like?
I tried these and there is no stability. I prefered the clifton 9. Just for walking though not running. I felt like my foot muscles were working just to keep my foot stable, like standing on jello or something.
I don’t run but have had surgery on my ankle before and I felt that these aren’t as stable. Too much movement side to side though they were very comfortable otherwise.
@LuvMetric yeah the plushness is real. A shoe like the 860 will provide much better stability. Here are some of my favorite stability shoes right now if you’re interested: www.trailandkale.com/gear/best-stability-running-shoes/
It depends on your goals. If you’re goal is to really get your fastest time, then there are better marathons shoes for that but if you plan to run a “leisurely” marathon and want total comfort throughout then these will be great! I put leisurely in inverted commas because we all know you can’t describe a marathon as leisurely! It’s a damn hard challenge! 😄
The best running shoe I ever had! , as a 55 years old runner i can appreciate how it can vanish the small irritating pains that comes with age.
I hear this same story from a lot of runners over 50 regarding soft midsoles like these 👌🏼
This trainers changed my running .
For the better or worse?
@@trailandkale Definitely for better
Great to hear!
Hilly half marathon in mine yesterday and as an older runner appreciated the comfort and cushion. Legs also feel good today!
Awesome, thanks for sharing!! They’re just ridiculously cushioned - in a good way! 👌🏼

I am sold bruvva, they will be my next running shoe
Enjoy that pillow like feeling!

Awesome- glad they worked out well for you too!
How do you like these compared to the Skyward X? Is it worth having both? I run the Skyward right now and they’re amazing!

If I'm correct , the skyward x has a plate in it? More comparable to sc trainer from New balance
He was asking about them as a complimentary trainer I believe
