YESS!!! I found it! Ive been looking for this version for fucking forever!! Jesus Saves, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES HE HAS COME! I LOVE THIS SONG CANT SEEM 2HOLD IT TOGETHER WHEN I HEAR THIS SONG... I REPENT EACH TIME I HEAR IT!... GOD IM SO THANKFUL FOR THESE AMAZING PEOPLE YOU HAVE BLESSED WITH TALENT AND HAVE USED IT TO DO YOUR WILL!!
I think she sounds like she has a cold when she sings and is stuck in a tunnel. A lot of female singers are singing this way today though. It's just a style people mimmick. If everyone would just get some training and learn to open up and sing instead of talk/sing there would be so much more originality and everyone wouldn't sound the same.
professional vocalist I know what you mean about female artists sounding nasal but Meredith Andrews has incredibly strong vocals.. check out some of her vertical church band songs. :-)
professional vocalist that being said I'm gonna take your advice and open up like my voice teacher in junior high taught me! I tend to mimic too I need to just sing like myself. Thanks for the tip.
As a song, this is pretty poorly constructed. The transition into the chorus just doesn't gel. I wish Contempory Christian music was held to higher musical standards.
Actually, it’s extremely well constructed. It’s modern. It’s clean. There’s kick to it. It’s well mixed. It has dynamic. It’s constrained in the medley verses and it’s let lose in the chorus. Subconsciously, it tugs emotions of concealment during the verses being set free with open chords and wide reverbs in the vocals at the chorus (which parallels with the truth spoken in the lyrics). And in all of these new renderings, it still retains the old identity of the song. As a musician with appreciation for the traditional and having produced music before , i think it flows seamlessly throughout, and i find it very well executed. Just because it doesn’t have instrument scales, solos and operatic styled voices doesn’t mean poor quality. Modern music has shifted to a different place (sometimes sounding “ simple”) with complexities hidden in between the lines (harmony, tone, effects and atmospheres) and to address the current generation a modern sound is required. I wish people were open minded enough to hear the beauty of what’s ahead and not only of that which has been cherished in the past. Tall order, i suppose.
Artists are adding choruses to old hymns to get writer credit for public domain songs. That is why so many of them seem thrown together and not quite in line with the overall story of the song. This is a prime example IMO. I understand the desire to make money from your music. It's how I make some of my money. I just don't agree that this chorus adds to the overall theme of a song about comfort and joy.

It does seem a bit forced.

Yeah! I think the transition from verse to chorus is awesome.

Man, it hits me right in the heart. "He has come for us" means "He has come for me." He is truly the only hope for all mankind.
terrible rendition of a classic, uhggg. awful
i think this really captures the Gospel and puts extra meat on this song than whats already there.
