Ahh mate I'm currently fully forging my vxr but abit more than just a full forged more of a racespec engine same max power rated roughly 800 but can take full abuse like trackday ect, and rusty has done some wicked little builds and dont just short shift look at zero point one brilliant shifter and who you got mapping it can I suggest giz or wg absolutely brilliant both mappers
Mana Performance in Northampton mapped it with help from Giz. It's on standalone not factory ECU, not sure if WG would even touch it lol. Mine is also supposed to be a track day car but spent half the year too broken to take on track lol.
I was waiting when You show up with an Astra, glad You put it back on the road!! How do you find single flywheel so far? I heard that when your are in neutral you can hear some gearbox knocking and it is overall bad for it? Any advices?
It's not even noticeable to be honest. I've only heard it once, and it was when the car was hot after an hour driving - not sure if that changes anything. If you put your foot on the clutch the noise goes away, but you can barely hear it anyway. I think it depends on the car though, some might have more noise. Bradford Senna on UA-cam also has a SMF in his VXR and one of the videos of it idling the noise is very noticeable, but still not enough to be annoying.
@k-9k-97 no car is reliable at the end of the day. I'm a mechanic meaning that I'll be able to repair one cheaper because I haven't got to pay labour because I will fix the issue myself
@@k-9k-97i must be doing something wrong then. Because i have a gsi z20let forged running 480bhp. Taken abuse for the past year at the power and not broke once and literally just got back from doing the nurburg ring also. Not the car but the owner and lack of maintenance and cheap part used 👍
I've rebuilt the whole car except for forging and head gasket it's on its way to R N D this week who cares if cars break you buy them as projects and for fun some people proper tight Jews to spend cash
Rusty Autos post all of their latest prices on Facebook, but currently for an Astra H it's £2500, or £2850 with wedged block if you were to take it to them!
Not really, unless you choose pistons that increase the compression ratio. The new pistons might be a tiny bit more efficient but it could only gain 1%. I might be able to make more power when I get the map checked though, because we're currently limiting boost to save the stock rods and we don't have to do that anymore.
@@JamesBalazs sweet! I'm wondering if i should get mine forged with kit from Nevlock.. but i would also wanna go forged + big turbo😅 you plan going more than 350 hp?
Happy to see you back mate 😊
Nice one mate , glad to see on the road. Update us on the brake in status and software update.
Will do!

wheres that headunit from mate been trying to find it for ages thanks
Teyes CC3 2K mate, you can find it on their website just from Google but it ships from Australia
How do you get that turbo flutter any suggestion and links?
Turbosmart recirc valve and any decent cone filter should do it 👍
Metal intake pipes also help make it a bit louder
How much is to get the engine forged ?
