Yikes. We are cruising to canada in September & hoping we'll have a better crossing. Definitely got plenty of travel sickness tablets & sea bands, just in case.
Oh wow, that sounds like it’ll be an amazing cruise! Hope you have a great time. It was definitely the most movement we’ve had at sea but the captain did everything possible to make it more comfortable for everyone. That said, stocking up on sea sickness remedies can’t hurt right. Haha. Have a great weekend.
Arvia is beautiful. I love rough seas. I went on her second cruise to the Caribbean. We had 8-9 metre swells then, It was very eventful. The sea view cabins look great, especially being so close to the water.
Hey, good morning. Arvia is a great ship isn’t she. Yeah being so close to the sea was pretty cool and we loved that little window seat. Glad you had a great cruise, the rough seas definitely made it eventful too. One to remember for sure. Have a great weekend. 😃
@@carolr9301 we are going September next year we are going Spain Portugal and the canaries I’ve been on a cruise before unfortunately I got the bug so this time I’m taking my daughter
The grainy consistany comes from poor defrosting. Had this and other terines on P and O over the years.and ne upset tummy, too many times after indulging the terrrine, made me realise it does not defrost well and to avoid it at all times.
Amazing! What were the seas like on your way over last time? We could definitely be tempted to do another transatlantic. We really enjoyed it. Thanks for watching 🥂🚢☀️🏝️
Great video, as usual! We're doing Southampton to Barbados in October and looking forward to it! We saw, well, my fiancé did, Kevin Simm in the Limelight club on Iona. Neither the entertainment or the food were my cup of tea ... So I left to watch us sail out of the Olden fjord. My fiancé wants to see him again on Arvia ... And I'll have to stay this time as I'll have no fjord as an excuse!
Haha, the sail away from Olden is stunning isn’t it. That said, I’m sure you’ll enjoy seeing Kevin, he was great. Did a really broad range of music which we didn’t expect and kept us all entertained. Seemed like a nice guy too which is always a plus. Barbados in October will be incredible! We really want to go back, beautiful island.
Thanks guys 😁 Yes, we're a tad envious of the smooth waters you had. But it was actually kind of fun, like a tame rollercoaster but with many, many more sick bags to hand 😂
Hi this was a great video. Me and my family are going on arvia soon and really hoping that the waves arent too bad... Quick question, this will be our first cruise do any tips on best tines to eat to avoid queues and also tips on not missing out on shows in the evenings... Also i keep seeing that some people get hit by high roaming internet cost when they get back...any tips on ensuring this doesnt happen as quite worried about that... Thanks in advance and thanks for such a good video...
Hello. Thanks for watching and the comment 😁 Arvia is a great ship, sure you’ll have a great first cruise. Where are you heading? In terms of roaming charges, we make sure to go into settings and turn off data roaming manually, then put airplane mode on just a failsafe. Haven’t ever had an issue. If you ask at guest services they can help too. The web browser page on P&O is free use on WiFi but can still be accessed on flight mode. In terms of eating times, we tended to go early, 6:30 was our average time and we didn’t ever struggle. Less chance of queues and then you can get into the shows for the main performances in the evening. If you’re joining a virtual queue for a restaurant, we generally get in queue in the room just before we’re ready to leave then found 9/10 times we’d be ready by the time we got to the atrium.
@@GetLostWithBenAndGareth Thanks so much for replying. So glad u haven't had issues with internet charges. I will do as u suggested and hopefully we won't have issues either. Thank u for that. 6:30 sounds like a good time to eat for us so will aim for that too then. Definately want to catch the shows so sounds good to me... We are doing the med so hoping for nice weather and an enjoyable cruise. Hoping bay of biscay isn't too bad too🤞 Thanks gain for getting back to me👍🏼

First time I've seen one of your vlogs. I really enjoyed it and have now subscribed. We're doing our first ever cruise in Sept (Marella) and a taster cruise (2 nighter in Aug with MSC) so wish us luck.
Ahh thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it! Awesome! We haven’t sailed with Marella yet, but some of my friends recently came back from a transatlantic cruise with them and they had a very good time! MSC… we didn’t have the best experience with them but in fairness, we sailed with them post COVID so some restrictions were in place so we will probably try them again one day. Their ships are AMAZING! And they have the best pizza at sea. No competition! 🍕 Have a great time! 🥳
@GetLostWithBenAndGareth thank you, I failed to mention we are in the Yacht Club part of the ship.. wouldn't have gone otherwise 🤣. MSC was a company I was going to avoid in all fairness. I'm looking fwd to it though. Thanks for the reply.
We love those choppy seas. Something similar happened to us sailing out of St Lucia towards Barbados. That was quite amusing 🤣🤣 Also Kev is a good friend of Neil’s, 2 Chorley lads. I’ll let him know you liked his set next time we see him.
