I just realized something: Everyone hates water levels. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time's Water temple and Jabu's Belly dungeon and Sonic's Labyrinth zone all prove this. Post below more levels that are hated and are water-filled!
Poke Miner AQUA Sector or whatever it was called in Metroid Fusion was pretty annoying Majoras Mask is an exception because Great Bay Temple was awesome but most other Zeldas had pretty bad water levels
One of my personal favourite zones ever. Not the easiest, but there's something about the song and the colours used (Yellow/gold with green water) that created such a warm atmosphere to play in for me :)
Trust me, aquatic zone is FAR worse. In AZ, the bubbles are way more far apart. In labyrinth, they are much more close togethar and most of the time you can dip straight out of the water anyway. Off topic, but who's the character in your profile image?

Plus, Labyrinth Zone is probably easier than almost every stage in the Game Gear and Master System versions of Sonic 1. And just listen to that awesome music! How could anyone hate this stage? :D

Others ... not so much.
Fun fact : part of the bass line was borrowed from the song "Best of my love" by the Emotions : The Emotions ~ Best of My Love . It's even played in the same key !

Labyrinth music track offers something a little bit diffrent. We here a mandolin in the lead rhythm along with rough loose bass as the bass line accompaning the drums and 8-bit hi hats. It's a great music track that sounds very similar to Lemmings Sega Mega Drive [Genesis] soundtrack the song with the mandolin in it. Sorry if I sound like a dictionary but im a huge fan of Mega Drive music! Good stuff SonicKAI.
