@@therealmr.incredible3179 dont say that about yourself man. You can be anything you want. Set a goal, a small goal, work for it, accomplish it, and set another small goal. When I was 14 (many years ago) I wanted to be a welder (I know it doesnt seem like what people would call successful, but I let no one define my success). Was something about hot metal and building things that got my blood flowing. I busted my ass for many years to get to work at one place. The best of the best worked there. It was my success. As mining began to tank a lot of us lots our jobs, and it sucked, but, I accomplished that goal. I just set a new goal. Now I'm a lead, and get to training young men and women coming in. In a year or two I want to be a plant supervisor. To some, it may seem like it's nothing, that what I do doesn't matter, but it truly does for everyday life that we all enjoy. Goals, my man. Goals and a positive attitude. Dont ever let anyone, including yourself, tell you you're a lost cause. You're not.

Find a style that looks good on you and really go with it (finding a hairstyle you like goes a long way). but you can get really cheap shoes at walmart, some of them look pretty good. Brands like Apt 19 and Urban Pipeline (kohls brand) are really nice and are very affordable.

Alex - sincerely, great video. Like you, I am the parents of immigrants who came to Canada and worked their butts off to create a great life for our family. I didn't experience what you experienced as a child, but I worked my butt off, and besides graduating with a few university degrees also worked at part-time jobs from the age of 12. Today I am a senior manager in a very large corporation, earning a great living and doing extremely well.
What impressed me about your video was your honesty in where you came from and your perseverance to make it and be happy in life. You don't talk as much about money as you do about enjoying what you do and have your career create a lot for you moving forward.
I really hope you can be an inspiration for young immigrant kids who live with a sense of despair that they will never make it. Congrats Alex on your success thus far.

IMPORTANT QUESTION FROM ME:
How hard it was to move to the US and become a citizen?? How long did it take you to fully imitate to the US? Please respond because I also want to move there when I grow up(I'm 16)
It'll largely depend on where you're coming from and as to why you're coming. I think at 16 your best plan would be to work hard in school and use a student visa to come to a university in the U.S. or work into a strong professional career and obtain work visas. I've had family come from the Philippines and it's taken usually around a year and a half for everything to come together.
The most important thing is to have a network of people and friends. You can always ask for their help to get a job or help you rent a good house or something of the sort. If you already have a good connection in your country, then get a job there and save up a decent bit of money, enough to pay bills for maybe 4 months in the US. This will be more than enough time to travel to a variety of important areas in the US and establish strong connections. The easiest way to succeed is to have a strong network of people, so you'll grow faster and gain more knowledge and get access to resources you would never dream of having by yourself.
Focus on education. No matter what you're doing, the best thing you can do at any time is learn and grow. Whether it be a skill, a topic, or a career. If you never struggle to improve, you'll never break free of the struggle shell and achieve the freedom you were looking for. Always ask people better than you for advice, read related books and articles, make sure you try everything before moving on to the next step. I'd rather work in mcdonalds for 10 years while aiming to grow and improve so i can finally do my dream job than work in a shitty job that's unrelated to my interests and never improve there for the rest of my life.
I wish you all the best and success to your dreams of moving to the US. You are young and still have the whole world ahead of you! Go for it take the chance when you are ready. Like you, I had the dream to work and live in the US also. But I got sidetracked and wasted so much time. Now I am 55 years old and still trying to pursue my childhood dream but I am running out of time.
