Yeah I was really hoping it would be better. At least they have the kit version though, so you could make it your own, or just use the body on a better chassis. 👍

Such a shame with some of these cheaper models the gearing isn’t there, a lot of people think modulation comes down to poor electronics but that’s where wpl gets right, low gearing makes a world of difference! I am temped to get one and put a wpl gearbox and some oils shocks
Better electronics in the first place would be nice though. I like having decent wheel speed on my rigs, but you need a decent esc for that...or a nice 2 speed!
The WPL's are hardly great mind with their slow speed control. 👍
@@DoURC I mean electronics definitely are 50% of the equation when it comes to getting good throttle modulation, but gearing definitely makes a huge difference. I bought an mn78 as a gift for someone, installed those aftermarket wpl metal single speed transmissions and the performance is night and day, went from performing like this pajero to having decent throttle modulation and loads of torque. In my opinion it should be the first upgrade. I do agree electronics will make it even better.
When reality hits and you're literally just playing with a toy 😅 It does look cool though and I would be tempted getting a kit and add it to the fleet. Great honest review 👍

@@DoURCcontroversial... but you could actually say it's excellent value for money... the hardbody, interior, wheels, tyres and light kit all worth the price imo 😁 It just means another project... and do we have time for another project?... No! 😅
I didn't expect much power or tourqe out of this like the 1299 but my review got cut short when the electronics failed to re-bind the seller is apparently sending me a new board and motor 🛵
Hopefully the board fixes it so I can finish the review 😅
But I think it's possibly the transmitter.
Does the light on your transmitter flash or stay solid until you turn the car on ?
