It's Pakistan's, Bangladesh', Afghanistan's duty to introduce the same act of Citizenship Amendment in their countries if they feel Muslims are persecuted in India. I guarantee not a single Indian muslim will apply for citizenship there.
You can divide the country based on Religion in 1947. You can't touch Muslim personal law. You can't bring UCC. You are second largest majority and claim status of minority. But, you can't make law based on Religion. Common Hypocricy ki bhi seema hoti hai 😡

Why Muslims are not part of this law? The answer is simple. It can be answered through a simple question. Why did Pakistan which included Bangladesh split from India? For the sake of Religion. Muslim dominated areas were split from India to form Pakistan(West and East). Now if Muslims from these countries want to come to India, why was there a split? Why did Muslims want Pakistan? Do Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh want to join India? Does it mean that Pakistan as a nation and Bangladesh as a nation be scrapped and unified under one nation called India? Do the Muslims in India want Pakistan and Bangladesh to join as one nation under the name India? If so, the decision has to be taken by Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Apart from religious persecution, this law should be extended to ethnic persecution, so that the Sri Lankan Tamils are given a chance to become Indian Citizens.
What discrimination Tamil face? Please tell me what law discriminate Tamils. Unless you mean north east Tamil specifically who want their own state?
@@Slhistoryi ll give a history lesson so in Srilanka there was migration of people Tamil Nadu to srilanka for fish trade in earlier in history they settled there but during 70s the pogrom by srilankan army happened on Tamils living in srilanka due to asking for separate Tamil state in srilanka. IPKF came and defeated by highly motivated and trained Tamil Eelam soldiers by RAW.

I don't want my state ( Assam) to implement CAA cause the illegal immigrant issue is not something new to us from 1971 or before there were and still illegal immigrants passing the border but the central government never cared to give importance to that because we don't exist. The ecosystem of the northeast is very different.we are one of the safest , most educated and peaceful states except the latest Manipur issue but no one gave a f obviously . If the government will enforce CAA in Assam deport the refugees to Delhi, Gujarat , Mumbai or idc anywhere but not in Assam at least we're staying in a peaceful region with no religious conflict or anything related to that . And if you try to connect the dots the same thing happened in 2019 before the election and now again in 2024 same look at the pattern. The Central government never implemented any bill to stop the illegal immigrant in Assam and now all the sudden they are so much interested in Assam nice stop playing religious politics the government is again playing divide and rule because irl both Hindu and Muslims are co- existence together in a peaceful matter but what they are portraying in the tv or any mass media site is all just bluff to get votes and distract us from the real issues that is unemployment, poverty education etc and fun fact 17 hrs ago the HDI report came in which India is in 134th place even behind Pakistan & bangladeh and yeah you want to bring more people whereas we still don't the proper facilities woah nice

Indians should counter propaganda citing US law. Art. 14 applies to Indian Citizens only. In 1947, India was divided on religious lines. The transfer of population should have been done. CAA is a milder version of LAUTENBERG AMENDMENT in the United States which enables citizenship to identified persecuted religious minorities in Soviet Union, Iran etc. Under this law - ‘persecuted religious’ minorities like Jews, Christians, Baha’ is fleeing Iran to jump the queue to gain citizenship in USA. The LAUTENBERG-SPECTER AMENDMENTS positively discriminates among minorities by creating a ‘reasonable classification’ to EXCLUDE the Muslim majority. When USA can do it why can't India.
* Those opposing CAA should be asked: - Why in Pakistan, every day, young 14-15-year-old Hindu, Christian and Sikh girls are abducted and married off to 40-50-year-old guys and converted? Why Hindus and Sikhs are second class citizens there??? Why in Bangladesh, Hindu population is declining and their temples frequently vandalized, and they are forced to convert? Why Sikhs have been wiped out of Afghanistan? Why there are no more gurudwaras there and Afghan Sikhs had to seek asylum in India? Who made them flee?

1) it violates "assam accord" in assam andolan 800+ assamese died protesting against these bangladeshis, implementing CAA will be disrespectful towards those people and for us!
2) muslim or non muslim, every illegal bangladeshi is same for us, no matter what religion they follow!
3) don't get brainwashed, it's a total different case for assam compare to other states, coz assam is a bordering state, and it's so obvious that assam will be affected the most from it, not the other states.
4) compare to other states, lakh lakh bangladeshi is still living in assam and tripura illegally, now after giving citizenship, they'll get move to other states or live in assam? Obviously most of them in assam!
5) as you know NRC in assam already got implemented! but nothing has done till then only a draft report was released in 2018 which says around 40 lakh people couldn't give proper documents, proving that they are citizen of India according to NRC rules! (This number includes all religion), now after implementing CAA maximum of them will get citizenship here legally excluding muslims only! Still it will be huge number, even the largest tribe of Assam doesn't have this much of population which are living here for centuries, imagine being a minority in our own land.
6) look at tripura also, tribal population were majority back then but now they are minority in their own land, and Bengali Hindus and muslims from Bangladesh is in majority! And tribals were the one who had been living there for centuries.
6) after getting indian citizenship, bangladeshis will able to buy land from any area of Assam legally, and occupy government jobs equally! In some years yall see the increasing competition for jobs, and mostly next generation will get affected badly in assam!
7) government cannot even take care of us and giving citizenship to more people gonna make more chaos
8) remember it's not religion issue in northeast states, it's for our language and culture. We will choose our language and culture first anyday over any kind of religion!!
9) we will never give our land to a bangladeshi!!

1) NRC without CAA and inner line permit (ILP)
2) NRC+CAA in assam will remove only bangladeshi muslim people from assam, but ONLY NRC gonna remove all illegal bengali hindus, all illegal muslims, I mean irrespective of religion from assam, we want to remove all bangladeshi.
2) government can implement CAA in other states but should exclude ASSAM and tripura from it, As we already are affected so much, and will get affected more
3) ILP will prevent other illegal immigrants to enter assam
4) government can implement CAA anywhere but exclude northeast states who are already affected!! We need only NRC+ILP.
india already has given them 3 separate countries to muslims(afghanistan , pakistan , bangladesh) .. and in these countries non-Muslims have been persecuting on the basis of religion ... it is India's moral responsibility to take these non-muslim refugees to india to protect them

See, BJP implemented NRC in 2019 itself to protect tribal people like us, but the Opposition was against it. The Opposition INDI Alliance protesting against NRC even now. So, if they (INDI Alliance) come to power, there will be no NRC, but they will bring in more Bangladeshis and settle them in our villages. Our only hope is if BJP comes to power and enacts NRC.

Disappointed with Palki on this episode. Why she fails to condemn the critics of CAA as there is no merit in their fear of Indian Muslims loosing citizenship.

Since the partition of India was based on religion and the terrifyingly inhumane treatment of minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan is based on religion, the solution also needs to be based on religion as well.
India has always given refuge to the persecuted including Persian Zoroastrians, Jews, Tibetans, Bangladeshis during the 1971 genocide by the Pak army and others.
If there are religious minorities who feel unsafe in India, they have the right to apply for refuge in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. If you feel those countries are better suited for your future, go with our blessings.

If CAA and NRC were ploys by the govt. to strip Indian Muslims of their citizenship, wouldn't it make more sense to implement NRC before CAA, strip Indian Muslims of their citizenship and t give citizenship back to non-Muslims through CAA who might have lost their citizenship in the NRC exercise?

I am from Assam and I have no issue with caa if the central govt. Take these refugees of any religion and settle them in other state. I don't want the demography of my state to change which is already in a very bad state. It also goes against Assam accord and 2014 is just tooooi recent!! It is not hindu muslim for us and rest of India just doesn't care for our plight!! How sad.

You missed to report one point, what is the minority population % is in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan - Before and After - You will come to know why India has brought this rule only for minorities. As an example Pakistan in 1947 - 25% and Today - 5%, mostly impacted to Hindus - Where are those 20% missing? Another unnoticed massacre by world? So what is wrong to give them priority the other citizenship rules are present, this is only priority rule... Every country should have their own rights, like US plays the rules for H1B cases !!!
But the question is if those people from other neighbouring countries come to india then who will give them jobs ? Where will they live ? Do they have a plan ? Their only policy is to gain vote from them but they won’t implement any other laws such as education, employment and healthcare to them. The country should look at the interests and issue of the people first and then it can give citizenship to others. It is already populated and they want another millions of population. I’m not saying that we should not welcome them but the issues in our country is fragile. Many of the youth are unemployed and many aren’t even thinking what would happen if these people come ?
