Throughout 2014, members of AIA Southern Arizona contributed to a series of essays called My Favorite Place in which they shared a building, space or other spot they love in Southern Arizona. The original series was the brainchild of Gillian Drummond of 3 Story Media and was published in the Arizona Daily Star.

Really nice piece on one of my favorite pieces of sacred land; ) Viva la Vida! They say he helped protect Barrio Viejo from being turned into a freeway because the shrine is on the historic register. He and Pancho Villa protect the Soul of the place what hasn't been torn down. May this place remain to teach, inspire and bring hope and comfort to all who pass for many more years to come.
