Beautiful video, Tom! Love the last landing. The plane finally made it to smooth grass and a good rollout! Perfect!
The hours spent watching these flights on UA-cam are nourishment for the soul...One "thumbs up" is not enough.
Indubitably deeply serene. My heartfelt thanks to you for taking the time to share these moments with us.
I've watched your channel for awhile and I would say your photography has climbed to a new level! Really enjoyed this one. Thanks for the video!
Splendid. Always a pleasure to watch your videos, so well photographed and choregraphed. On Board camera was lovely, like I am in the cockpit. A low winger that glides so well too, wow look at those landings. Bravo!
Just stunning. Beautifully built and flying aircraft. Your a true artist sir . Thank you.
So well said in a few words...
Your videos make me wish I were the craft. Just floating around... no worries and smooth landings. I love it. Keep them coming. A wonderful way to unwind in today's world. NO PUN INTENDED.
No words are sufficient. It's the feeling you get deep inside.
Thank you.
A beautiful airplane, and so mesmerizing to watch it fly. I've never done free-flight, but this makes me want to try it.
Tom, one word...Majestic. Your videos always educate and entertain and leave me with a full and excited heart. The NB-3 was gonna be my first foray into a real scale flyer but I need to ask some questions about sliced ribs...again!
The quality of your videos puts many main stream media 'professionals' to shame. I always say photography is like cooking, that special ingredient is the love for what you do.
Thx. I've enjoyed stepping back to take in the beauty of flight, rather than to focus on competition.
I'm just entering this modeling brunch after many many years in RC modeling. This is soooo beautiful.
Peaceful. Serene. Calm. Beautiful. For some, these videos approach inner wellness. Nice.
Thx, I was feeling that with the Beazley during those 24 hours. So graceful.
Oh my gosh, that dummy motor is such a work of art!
The generous wing with it's polyhedral must make this plane the great flyer that it is. It's a joy to watch in flight and the shot looking up at the cowl and spinner, with it's meticulous detail, is awesome!
There's a big connection with the phenomena of freeflight, humanity, history, art, poetry, mathematics, technology, physics, psychology, music, and craft, as such. That spirit is unnamed yet, maybe unable, but all recognize or feel it similarly and distinctly too. Art traditionally precedes outstanding breakthroughs in general consciousness, so NEW or ununknown, -able, that the artistic effort is to always express "it" anyway, artistically and hope the rest of it will be provided in time by the viewers. Here so too, with (manned) mechanical flight coming as close, (in every way) to humans flying freely, freer than all other (known) beings - at will.
Your models fly so beautifully
I just caught myself smiling like a kid again. Thanks!
The aerodynamic purity of free-flight
This plane is a legend.
Tom please make tutorial for people like me who needs guidance and love these planes.
Make tutorial about how to put rubber band, check CG, angle of incidence etc. Thanks 👍
That looks very real with just a model at the start ! Thank you for your hard work to make videos and good tuition.
I keep watching this video...I love the slow turning propeller.
seeing it fly is a poem....
Tom- I am always in awe ( and just a bit jealous 😊) of your builds and beautifully captured flights. It makes me extremely happy to see time taken to create a thing of beauty. Thank you- well done!
Amazing as always!
superb as always.
Superb!
Beautiful!
Incredible, thank you so much for sharing these with us.
So awesome. Thanks for the art of aviation.
Beautiful and very true to scale 👍
Sooo realistic in the air too 😊
Lovely relaxing video thank you
your videoes just keep getting better and better ^^, like a piece of heaven in a moment in time
You certainly have this one dialed in! Thank you for sharing this! Better than beautiful!
Very graceful plane!!👍
Another stunning model beautifully filmed !
Awesome flyer...nice job....love the videos....thanks!
Simply superb! The music, the launches, the flights with perfect landings. 👏👏
Beautiful airplane and graceful flight!
Brilliant.
Your Videos are just superb, thanks, you turning me back to the pure joy of rubber from old timers turned RC!
Pure beauty! Congratulations from Brasil
Inspirational.
My favorite plane of yours that I've seen.
Wow a Dave Rees jumbo. How delicate it is. beautiful job! Love the color scheme. Courageous flying with the sprinklers on.
Tom that's a wonderful plane you've built. It fly's so well, so elegantly no wonder you enjoyed yourself. The weather's not bad either. Great videography thanks for sharing.
Your video sums up the idea of what aeromodelling should be-skill, patience, good design and peaceful, tranquil flights. Thank you!
Fantastic model, build and fly Tom!!! Saludos Fernando Zariz🇦🇷
beautiful.
Your videos are what encouraged me to pursue this hobby. Thank you so much!
Thx. I'm glad ur trying free-flight. Enjoy.
Free-flight scale aircraft with a span larger than 20 inches are fragile. Your plane is big, always flies beautifully, and this time the landing was perfect. This is the magic of silence.
At my age I can no longer chase my F/F models and I really enjoy your videos. Many thanks.
I am impressed with how perfectly you get your planes CoG. There is obviously a lot of testing that we don't see. The end result is magic. Thank you!
The larger ships are much more gentle, yet react well to CG shifts. For the NB-3, if it's off a tad when changing motor size, she'll tell u by flying on the prop (nose up a bit) which happened a bit on the final flight. A few grams of clay or lead would fix that.
Wow. Just... wow. I'm finishing up my first attempt, the guillows Cessna 170. Would like to try and fly it, following along with all your videos, both flying and how to's. Thank you so much!
So satisfying to watch your planes slowly circle the sky.
Hi friend, I call you friend because your accomplishment reminded me of when I constructed similar aircraft in the 1950’s. The satisfaction you feel flying you bird is what I felt, too. Ambroid glue colored Japanese tissue, balsa wood, a sharp razor blade, good plans and some clear dope were all we needed.
What changed? Bigger planes with glow engines, a bell crank in the wing and two control cables to “up and down” as the plane raced around a circular path, while you, the pilot tried to maintain control without getting dizzy and falling. The came radio control that drew my attention.
Bigger, heavier, noiser, does not mean more fun. At 75 years old I still fly R/C, planes, choppers and drone. There is a stir in me calling me back to free flight standing in a prairie watching my craft rise, challenge the wind and prove if I set the CG correct and if I had just the right trim on the rudder, ailerons and elevator. To non free flight people, they can’t understand our lingo and the rush of joy we get from the flight of a stick and tissue model plane. You have done a magnificent video that captures the little boy and the joy we modelers relish.
Thx for ur kind and insightful words. I appreciate ur feedback, and couldn't agree more with ur observation of our shared passion.
Talk about well balanced! It even reacts to ground effect and lands perfectly!
Thx, I love flying the larger birds. Should build more.
That thing is huge! I thought that was a peanut scale at first!😲
It new it was going to land and pulled back just at the right time !
Just beautiful Tom. What more can I say?
Noel
Thx, Noel. The Beazley has been a beautiful & reliable friend thru the years.
One of my favorite airplanes in your collection
Thx, it had been awhile, so it was fun to give her some focused air time.
The NB-3 is truly a majestic flyer. The views from the cockpit via the 808 keychain cam were a nice touch. For some reason, when facing forward, the 808 video exhibits more 'jello' than the aft view, which seems very stable. Perhaps the lens is affected by the windstream when facing forward. Also nice to see the 'wind tube' you use to protect the model while packing in the turns. I can't imagine the damage that size rubber motor would do. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Ok Tom, best yet of model, videos, optical innovations & music. PPV's awesome coincide with exterior view repeats unbelievable. Landings awesome cool with engine shutdowns even! That hand release with the camera on the ground and the model climbing straight up away in view...pardon the pun...floored me. You are quite honestly a quiet genius...Moses
Thx, Moses. I was fully enjoying the weather & sky texture, knowing that I needed to keep this bird in the air for as long as I could during those 24 hours. I didn't know what I had until I got home, then it all came to me as to how to present it. She's an older bird from 2015, but is always a pleasure to fly.
I say this every time but i will still say it; THIS is real flying.
What a flier...it even flares in for a landing.
Greetings,
Once more, a beautiful model and a gorgeous video. Just stunning.
How do you manage to get those lovely clouds for background?
The NB-3 seems huge!
And it’s majestic in flight.
It’s amazing to watch the horizontal stabilizer and bracing wires flutter in flight.
Though I still can’t quite wrap my head around those upturned wingtips.
They just look weird to me.
Again, a beautiful video. I will look forward to seeing the next one.
Let’s be careful out there.
Peaceful
I got excited for those perfect landings. Did the tail break on the last one? Also, I hope to see more of the cockpit cam, neat stuff!
The tail pops up upon timed release to dethermalize the plane, that is, to bring it down so it doesn't drift off in a rising current of air.
@@aeromodeller1 Oh now that’s cool! How does the timer work? Is it held by tension from the rubber band?
Great model , great flight, great video Max ! A question, which onboard camera are you using on that model ? I see a good image quality and it should be very light.

I just downloaded the plans!
where did you find the plan?
please ignore, found it
What a Beautiful plane. You set this up perfect and it look so realistic. Was there a real version of this model ?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas-Beazley_NB-3
Beautiful video. What is the model covered with?
Thx. It's covered with Japanese tissue from Micro-X (no longer available). But other similar tissue would work just as well.
Sangat sempurna 👍👍👍🥰🥰
😉👍🏻🦅
Would like to have the soundtrack(s). Where can I find them?
I get most of my music from motionarray.com. It's a subscription service for royalty -free music.
Thanks
Must check my settings... guess my UA-cam playback speed is accidentally set to 0.5 ??
haha.
Your filming made me feel like Shakespeare
My plane can do 100 miles per hour.
I miss Richard Bach's (edited)great flying stories.
Awesome! That’s fast! Who is Richard Back
Edited, thank you.
And wow-! What kind of rubber powered free flight model do you have that does 100 mph!!?
@@vancegilbert1958 Haha - that would be pretty cool.
Poetry, art, passion, thank you for the gift🥰🇨🇦
