The world has been asking this video's title for decades. It's crazy how much analysis I've seen regarding that one moment, including my own thoughts regarding it. As for the ring boundaries, the rules are the same as the World Martial Arts Tournament in the actual series. Which is that you lose if you specifically touch the ground outside of the ring. You're free to wander anywhere outside of the ring's boundaries without being disqualified, just so long as you don't touch the ground.
Goku's biggest strength is also his biggest fault; he believes in people more than they believe in themselves. It becomes an issue cause if someone doesn't believe in themselves, external belief only matters so much.

Technically, the rule from their world martial arts tournaments is that if your feet land outside the ring you're disqualified. So as long as they land back in the ring, they're technically not breaking the rules. Kind of a weird loophole just for our intrepid band of "heroes?", but that's that thing at least. Hey now, you heard Krillin: let him cope! :P Indeed. Goku is a fighting savant. Fighting activates every single neuron he's got, and all but three of them go to sleep for everything else. X3 Hah! Cell-f aware! Nice. I see what you're saying, and I like that idea a lot. I'll just say this: episode 60. Ah, yes...the single most infuriating thing Goku does in this entire saga. Again, I'm not saying much, but he had his reasons and he ABSOLUTELY redeems himself, in my eyes at least. Again, episode 60. Why yes, that is Mr. Satan's daughter! Her name is Videl. This gets touched on a little bit in the Buu Bits, but she and Gohan become a thing in that saga. That's why she said "Sweet hair" when Gohan was on screen; TFS was already hinting at that. :P As always, loved the reaction! And I cannot wait for you to see episode 60. For lack of a better word, and not at all meant as a joke this time, it's perfect. And I'll be here for it, overly verbose comment and all!
@MekarWB You're telling me. I remember being in high school and discovering YGOTAS because I opened UA-cam and saw thumbnails for half a dozen episodes of "YuGiOh Abridged in 10 seconds!" I started following DBZA right around its inception, eagerly awaited each new episode through basically all of college...it feels surreal to realize how much time has passed and how many things I've done in that time. Pretty nutty.
I don't think Chichi was even close to these 3. She had no ki using abilities while all of the others could use ki. That makes for a pretty huge gap. But I am certain that Chichi would easily defeat people like King Chappa who was supposedly the strongest not ki using fighter back then.
@@justahologram2230 Wel Chiaotzu got beaten brutally by Mercenary Tao in Cyborg form, and Yajirobe was matched up against Kami in disguise. She could have easily been taken out in the preliminary rounds, if not plot. I do believe she would be able to defeat most if not all non Z-warrior candidates, like Man Wolf and Pamput. King Chappa is an interesting one, because he is a former World Champion AND is highly regarded by both Yamcha and Master Roshi, although not a challenge for a 15 year old Goku to everyone surprise. It is sad that Lauren will never get to know what a powerhouse Master Roshi used to be, because she hasn't seen the original Dragon Ball series.
@@justahologram2230 So? We don't even get to see the people she fought until she fights Goku and loses. So the people she beats were random nobodies. Chi-Chi is not beating anyone who mastered Ki control so that alone doesn't even make her top 20 strongest fighters in the world let alone top 8. By that logic when Hercule won the 24th world martial arts tournament he should be the strongest fighter in the world, but we all know he's not because none of the Z-Fighters were in that tournament.
To be specific they are only eliminated if they touch the ground after being knocked out. We've seen a few times when we think they are knocked out of the Ring but then they are still holding on to the side. They're like Kofi Kinsgton at the Royal Rumble. Gets knocked out but his feet never touch the ground outside the ring. Sometimes he does a handstand, sometimes he jumps over to the security railing, other times he lands ON someone already outside but still, if both feet have not touched the ground, he's still good to keep fighting.
@19:38 Hearing Lauren's genuine fear for Gohan and her concern, reminded me of why i was so invested in watching this particular react series. I'm so excited for her reaction to the finale
God, I remember how long it went between this episode and Episode 60. Almost a year or longer. Im amazed. Gohan's face was still intact after a year of getting tenderized by Cell's perfectly handsome fist.
"Cell-aware!" This is what members are paying for? Jk lmao. Also I just found a new reason to watch a lot of other people's reactions to seeing Goku beaning Cell. "Goku! What the fuck!" Love it all.
When Goku said he beat Chichi, it was in the Quarterfinal round of the World Martial Arts Tournament. She beat dozens of normal men to face off against Goku
I love cells monologue bc last episode goku was concerned when cell fired off the kameha so close to the ground then add in goku's charging up to fire directly at cell from above is such good writing.
I think Cell's survivability is due to Piccolo's regeneration mixed with Frieza's durability. Frieza was able to survive in the vacuum of space, after being cut in half and then blown up twice, once by Goku and once by Namek exploding.
The rules of a ring out are that you have to touch the ground while out of the ring. There's no rule against flying, or even flying outside the bounds of the ring as long as you don't touch the ground. That's actually how kid Goku lost to Tien in one fight. Both of them were falling, but Goku got hit by a delivery truck, getting spiked to the ground just before Tien hit the ground.
At the end yes, that little girl is Mr. Satan's daughter Videl and yes, she is Gohan's future love interest and later wife. No sense worrying about spoilers at this point as they never have and never will do the Buu Saga in full anyway.
This arc has so many of those "but why!?" moments. If you're interested, I recommend checking out the video "talking to the Z fighters after the cell saga" by Malswrld once you finish the finale. Bro basically acts out all what all of us would say to some of the crew. Whether you choose to react to it or just check it out in your free time, it's a good watch!
Yugioh Abridged is actually done by 1 person, LittleKuriboh. TFS eventually joins in and voice a Character or 2. Now the actual TFS things you can go for are Hellsing Abridged or Final Fantasy 7 Machinabridged.
I've watched this on patreon, but i'll watch and comment here for youtube statistics and stuff Freezer was so annoyed by Goku's stupidity, but cell loved it I think the ultimatum line is my favorite one
I'm still sympathetic to Mr Satan: his experience is that light shows and explosions are special effects (he's even done movies), and he's never seen displays of ki in real life until today. Trickery really is more likely, even if he doesn't know for sure how all the tricks are performed.
There is a thought that tfs brought up in their commentary on the series, that if Cell wasn't at full power, he would not have been so overwhelming to Gohan, and Gohan would not have transformed to save the world.
Goku's decision to give Cell a senzu bean actually makes sense when you consider that of the major antagonist that he has faced. Most of them, he successfully befriended. He fought Yamcha, and Yamcha became his friend. He and Krillin start as rivals training under Master Roshi but are now best friends. After losing to Tien, who initially hated Goku for killing his master's brother, Tien and Goku end up as friends. He beat Piccolo jr., who was created by his father, Demon King Piccolo, solely to kill Goku, then gave him a senzu bean. Now Piccolo is basically Gohan's godfather. Then he let Vegeta go after their fight. Letting an enemy live has never once backfired on Goku. Sure, Frieza survived and was going to destroy the earth, but Trunks handled it so everything still worked out.
goku gave cell the senzu bean to help gohan build his confidence as a fighter, so he wouldnt think that he defeated cell because he was tired or hurt, because he felt his ki on the time chamber, gohan transformed for a split second in SS2, he knew that if gohan used that, cell couldnt even touch him, thats why he was so relaxed, he was that confident in his son´s powers, but in the end it was the opposite of vegeta´s problem, his confidence blinded him and miscalculated, gohan doesnt like fighting and its a very selfless person, doesnt get angry when he gets hurt that easily, all his anger power ups in the series happened because others were in danger
Cell can only do it due to the durability of Freiza's race. They can survive absolutely insane amount of physical injury (but can't regenerate anything major more than a human could naturally heal), so the only real limitation is having enough power to fuel the regeneration and having a sufficiently powerful clump of cells to survive). Namekians can regenerate as long as their head remains intact but also need enough energy fuel to the regeneration faster than their body is dying. (i.e. Piccolo was completely spent vs Nappa, otherwise he'd have survived those injuries, but was too weak to heal all the physical damage he'd sustained blocking Nappa's revenge blast).
People tend to forget, Chi-Chi is one of the strongest women on Earth. On the Z-Fighters level? Well, no, but could she take on a few of Frieza's troops? Most likely!
When you get around to the finale, you'll finally understand why Goku did what he did. It's one of the dumbest moves he's ever done to give cell a senzu bean, but in his mind it's the only way to have his idea work.
You will likely garner a ton of views in one long episode lol But 3 probably would get you more, maybe, but not from the subscribers. Your choice, I will patiently wait. I’ve seen it already but love your reactions lol
Since you never watched the original Dragon Ball, at the end with the martial arts tournament that Goku won, Chichi was shown to be extremely powerful. Considering Goku and Piccolo's power levels at the end at that time was somewhere around 300-400, Chichi was roughly around 100 if you consider the fact that she held her own against Goku while he was holding back a lot. If you take in the power level of 10 from the farmer at the very beginning of DBZ, Chichi is roughly 10-15x stronger than the average human of Earth.
*5. 100 is pretty reasonable as she was trained her father who was trained by Roshi (Goku didn't get to train as much from Gohan due to how early he accidently killed him), it's pretty reasonable that due to the consistent increase in quality of prelimary finalists, that she was at least about on pair with people like Chappa, just without any fancy techniques.
Almost there. Going to be hard to wait for the episode drop, but god are the last three worth it. As a side note I don't know what it is but everytime I rewatch DBZA Ox Kings voice moves further up my list of favourites
Episode 60 is amazing can't wait they unfortunately don't cover the final Arc of the series but I believe there is another Abridged team that is working on the final Arc so that we have a version of it also future series Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series by little Kuriboh you've seen him and some of the skits and movies with Team Four Star he is still making episodes and it is a series that starts off low quality and by about the fifth to sixth episode is legendary can get a ton of content from the series absolutely hilarious just like this
Goku makes unacceptable decisions, sparing Piccolo, sparing Radditz, sparing Vegeta, sparing Freeza, throwing Cell a sensu bean. Every time you put the world in Goku's hands it either slips right out of his fingers or he puts it right on the tenuous edge of the nearest table. Vegeta gloats but Goku is just inexcusably irresponsible.
10:39 Hmm, TFS didn't get to that part, but later Piccolo says that so long as his head is okay, he can just grow everything back. Also, regenerating doesn't "refresh" you and it still drains stamina. It's not quite healing. 23:50 Ha!
12:25 TFS its implying that Mr Satan was just a homeless guy from the streets who got into fighting and its then when he got rich. (His real name is Mark -- Maaku in japanese, anagram for Akuma, which means demon) Mr Satan is just a stage name he got when he graduated from the Satan Dojo, when he kept training his Martial Arts and learned all the dirty tricks. Im not sure its canon that he started in bum fights, but I think it is canon that he was just a regular guy with a ton of luck that developed later in his life.
A little head's up: When it's a long video that's split up, I always wait for all the parts to release so I can binge them all at once. That said, I can imagine I'm not the only one, so don't be alarmed if your analytics end up being on the low end for the first two parts: they'll shoot up when you release your reaction to episode 60 part 3
Goku used his strongest attack and confirmed that he can't do lasting damage to Cell. That's when he finally took the step he was holding back on: bringing in someone more powerful.
I get why it didn't fit the story they wrote, but I kind of wish they included the part where Gohan thought Goku wasn't seriously fighting yet because it was so easy for him to follow.
@@The_One_In_Black They kinda included it with the bit last episode where they're like, "Well, at least we can kinda follow the action now?" "You were having trouble?" "Yeah?" "Well, you're going to really have trouble when they start getting serious" bit. But its a lot less explicit, yeah.
Even reading the original manga, people don't get that Goku knew his limits and sent Gohan, which was way stronger, and Gohan wasn't aware of how strong he became and was confused thinking Goku wasn't taking the fight seriously.
The thing is. Goku is not this stupid in this point in the series. This is just a voice over. He is actually a battle genius in the dragon ball z series. Only ij super they really dumbed him down for marketing reasons.
20:42 just realized Ox King is as tall as Goku in this scene. He keeps getting shorter than taller again. Not as tall as he used to be in original dragonball
Length are very much secondary to story, and the anime is likely considerably less consistent than Toriyama's art in his manga. Lengths do really change a lot, Goku (even while already an adult) in the ending of DB was still considerably smaller than Yamcha (who is actually surprisingly tall) while Goku was depicted like quite a tall guy later on.
Yeah there's 3 big "mistakes" made by the cast during the Cell saga that infuriate fans First is Krillin not blowing up 18 with the remote Second is Vegeta letting Cell absorb 18 to become perfect and Third is Goku giving Cell a senzu bean before his fight with Gohan But the real standout is Vegeta though, as at least Krillin did what he did out of a positive emotion (love) and Goku DOES have a plan by giving Cell a senzu (I won't say more for spoilers), but Vegeta just wanted to boost his ego more. Vegeta is my favourite character in the series, but even I hate the choice he made to let Cell become perfect, it really is "the most risk for the least reward" out of all of them
To be fair to Chichi before Android 18 came along, she was maybe the strongest woman on Earth.

Indeed. Goku is a fighting savant. Fighting activates every single neuron he's got, and all but three of them go to sleep for everything else. X3
Hah!
As always, loved the reaction! And I cannot wait for you to see episode 60. For lack of a better word, and not at all meant as a joke this time, it's perfect. And I'll be here for it, overly verbose comment and all!
I look forward to the overly verbose comment! I always enjoy reading them
It's so weird to think about how long this series was around. The first part to Episode 60 came out over a year after Episode 59.
@@ChicagoReacts D'awwww, shucks guy. :3
Before gohan was born ChiChi was in the top 8 strongest fighters in the world, just a bit behind Krillen, Yamcha and Roshi
I don't think Chichi was even close to these 3.
She had no ki using abilities while all of the others could use ki. That makes for a pretty huge gap.
But I am certain that Chichi would easily defeat people like King Chappa who was supposedly the strongest not ki using fighter back then.
Chi-Chi is not even close she wasn't even top 100. She can't even beat Chiaotzu or Yajirobe.
@@Jajuan44 she placed 8th at the 23rd world martial arts tournament
Your reaction to the sensu bean part was exactly like mine when I first saw this I was like WTF goku then I had a vegeta moment I’m gonna kill ‘em 😂😂
I can’t believe that Cell was punching Gohan in the face for a whole year until the rest of the fight happened
Episode 60 is 4 parts
Part 1,2,3
Epilogue
"Goku what the fuck"
pretty sure it was everybody's reaction when they saw/read it lmao
when I first watched the sensu bean scene in the original I was shocked xDD Even the reasoning in the original was stupid xDD
Episode 59 came out on June 23, 2017. Episode 60 part 1 came out on August 31, 2018.
She beat dozens of normal men to face off against Goku
note Cell was so angry he called Goku kakarot for the first and ONLY time
I love cells monologue bc last episode goku was concerned when cell fired off the kameha so close to the ground then add in goku's charging up to fire directly at cell from above is such good writing.
Now imagine having to wait a year for episode 60. That’s what we had to wait when this first came out
In cells words when goku leaves "our talks are nice"
Goku, while being generally an idiot, is a genius regarding combat
I think Cell's survivability is due to Piccolo's regeneration mixed with Frieza's durability.
Frieza was able to survive in the vacuum of space, after being cut in half and then blown up twice, once by Goku and once by Namek exploding.
As long as you don't touch the ground outside the ring, you're technically still in it.
Chi-chi is a marshel arts figther. She is strong as F, well for a human.
Lauren: “I’m just waiting for the smash cut of Goku asking for the senzu bean and Vegeta going “GAGH!!!”
Oh this’ll be good!
the instant transmission Kamehameha is easily one of my all time favorite techniques, and he honestly should be spamming that shit.
11:26 You know, just because everyone somehow survived to this point, I'm gonna let you have that one.
Yugioh Abridged is actually done by 1 person, LittleKuriboh. TFS eventually joins in and voice a Character or 2. Now the actual TFS things you can go for are Hellsing Abridged or Final Fantasy 7 Machinabridged.
I've watched this on patreon, but i'll watch and comment here for youtube statistics and stuff
Freezer was so annoyed by Goku's stupidity, but cell loved it
I think the ultimatum line is my favorite one
I very much appreciate you
This is the first time I noticed the Gold Frieza theme when Cell blows up the arena.
You are only considered knocked out of the ring if any part of your body touches the ground outside of the ring
20:45 Chi-chi is a fighter after all. Not very accomplished, but part of the crew in 'og' dragonball.
Goku giving senzu made perfect sense. But not because of all these things you mentioned.
goku gave cell the senzu bean to help gohan build his confidence as a fighter, so he wouldnt think that he defeated cell because he was tired or hurt, because he felt his ki on the time chamber, gohan transformed for a split second in SS2, he knew that if gohan used that, cell couldnt even touch him, thats why he was so relaxed, he was that confident in his son´s powers, but in the end it was the opposite of vegeta´s problem, his confidence blinded him and miscalculated, gohan doesnt like fighting and its a very selfless person, doesnt get angry when he gets hurt that easily, all his anger power ups in the series happened because others were in danger
DBZA has a next series still in progress called HFIL. It’s a 3D animated sitcom of all the main villains living on a coldasack in hell
Cellf aware, yes, that's what I'm talking about
yep, it was Larry (the cameraman) doing the intro
Remember, fighting is Goku's love language and he assumes Gohan is like him. Still a crazy choice.
in the original gohan was self aware of the plan, but goku didnt knew that gohan releases that power when others get hurt and not himself
Love the hair Lauren!!
People tend to forget, Chi-Chi is one of the strongest women on Earth. On the Z-Fighters level? Well, no, but could she take on a few of Frieza's troops? Most likely!
Loving your reactions Lauren. Idk if anyone has mentioned this or not but there is an epilogue episode after 60. Make sure to catch it.
Glad I saw this pop up I need this today
When you get around to the finale, you'll finally understand why Goku did what he did. It's one of the dumbest moves he's ever done to give cell a senzu bean, but in his mind it's the only way to have his idea work.
The only,ONLY reason it worked?.......plot armor
I am so looking forward to the last three episodes coming up.
Lauren is rocking this new style love the hair and the dress
Seriously the dumbest thing goku ever did was giving cell a bean.
I recommend watching Parts 1 and 2 of the final episode as one video, and Part 3 plus the prologue (often called part 4) as a second video.
That is probably what I will end up doing
About the Cellf-aware joke, I'm going to channel Tien here: 9:41
You will likely garner a ton of views in one long episode lol
But 3 probably would get you more, maybe, but not from the subscribers.
Episode 60 is amazing can't wait they unfortunately don't cover the final Arc of the series but I believe there is another Abridged team that is working on the final Arc so that we have a version of it also future series Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series by little Kuriboh you've seen him and some of the skits and movies with Team Four Star he is still making episodes and it is a series that starts off low quality and by about the fifth to sixth episode is legendary can get a ton of content from the series absolutely hilarious just like this
Chi Chi has that big mama strength lol
Seeing your reaction to the Senzu, I cannot wait to see your reaction to... I don't want to spoil it, so we'll just say reaction to the cake.
Cellf-aware lmao love it
Goku makes unacceptable decisions, sparing Piccolo, sparing Radditz, sparing Vegeta, sparing Freeza, throwing Cell a sensu bean. Every time you put the world in Goku's hands it either slips right out of his fingers or he puts it right on the tenuous edge of the nearest table. Vegeta gloats but Goku is just inexcusably irresponsible.
There is no poll needed. You WILL do Hellsing Abridged next! 🤣
10:39 Hmm, TFS didn't get to that part, but later Piccolo says that so long as his head is okay, he can just grow everything back. Also, regenerating doesn't "refresh" you and it still drains stamina. It's not quite healing.
23:50 Ha!
Piccolo died when Nappa singed his chest. It's a retcon.
@@patbracken Not necesarily, he was thousands of time weaker than his Boo saga self when he fought Nappa.
11:27 no no no no that's a good one....Dad! but you could learn more from Jimmy (12:10)
After episode 60 is epilogue and buu bits
Ok, so SURPRISINGLY Piccolo could actually do what cell did.
It’s recommended not to test it though.
Yes :D ❤❤❤ love this can’t wait for more
Yup, that is in fact Mr. Satan's daughter, and yup, she does get with Gohan.
12:25 TFS its implying that Mr Satan was just a homeless guy from the streets who got into fighting and its then when he got rich.
(His real name is Mark -- Maaku in japanese, anagram for Akuma, which means demon)
Mr Satan is just a stage name he got when he graduated from the Satan Dojo, when he kept training his Martial Arts and learned all the dirty tricks.
Im not sure its canon that he started in bum fights, but I think it is canon that he was just a regular guy with a ton of luck that developed later in his life.
Yep Satan's daughter is a future love interest for gohan
Can't move the chair like that, with all that back there.
Think of it this way. Gohan at this point is ABOVE Goku by a substantial amount.
A little head's up:
When it's a long video that's split up, I always wait for all the parts to release so I can binge them all at once. That said, I can imagine I'm not the only one, so don't be alarmed if your analytics end up being on the low end for the first two parts: they'll shoot up when you release your reaction to episode 60 part 3
As hard as it is to believe, Goku DID actually have a plan here. That plan just involved making sure Cell was at full strength.
@@ACommonHero2 Yeah, but that was before Goku and Cell got serious. So it still places Gohan at Goku's level instead of obviously above it.
Cellfaware is a Goku tier joke. 😂
don't forget the epilogue to episode 60
Fun fact, as super saiyans, goku actually admits gohan is stronger than him
11:26. Ah.
Perfect
I would do the buu bits before the shorts
Yeah there's 3 big "mistakes" made by the cast during the Cell saga that infuriate fans
First is Krillin not blowing up 18 with the remote
Second is Vegeta letting Cell absorb 18 to become perfect
and Third is Goku giving Cell a senzu bean before his fight with Gohan
But the real standout is Vegeta though, as at least Krillin did what he did out of a positive emotion (love) and Goku DOES have a plan by giving Cell a senzu (I won't say more for spoilers), but Vegeta just wanted to boost his ego more. Vegeta is my favourite character in the series, but even I hate the choice he made to let Cell become perfect, it really is "the most risk for the least reward" out of all of them
The 3rd one was not a mistake.
I love watching someone who doesn't know the original story line.
