- This video shows a comparison of all of winning/victory animations of all Trophy Girls from the Nitro Squad added by the new Nitro Tour Grand Prix DLC in Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One to the original animations in CTR for PS1. The Nitro squad in this game consists of: Isabella, Ami, Liz and Megumi.

There were some victory poses they wanted to make, so they had to leave their umbrellas behind. I wonder if they do jave a costume where they have their umbrellas with them.
in the remake they all actually look different, have a personality, and don’t use the same model and animation lol. I’d say that’s an upgrade
They all looked different though, only thing in common were the eyes and animations. Whether it's an upgrade or not is purely opinion based.

They could have redesigned it while keeping faithful to the original like Spyro remastered. The colours look so bland and washed out as well.

They seem to have added a lot of little details most people wouldn't notice or care about to everyone which I appreciate
They've done that for other characters as well. Crunch gets pec jiggle physics.
@@KumaOso16 A pec flex is more comical, in addition to the pectorals being a more prominent feature in heavily built characters. They thus get a lot more focus than other body parts.

I'd say Ami is more Scary with the flexin' and Tawna would be Ginger, but YES Spice Girls all the way! It's crazy that Liz is EXACTLY Victoria, I'm blown away by this game. Can't put it down unless I'm playing Bloodstained.

Despite de newly-added microtransactions, I'm still glad that Trophy Girls made it to the actual game and were upgraded to playable characters. If I ever get to play the game, I would still go the old school route of unlocking via gameplay

I wonder if the Nitro Squad was supposed to be a parody of Avatar: The Last Airbender, at least, the Nitro Squad that used to be Trophy Girls. I do not know if Tawna is supposed to be a member of the Nitro Squad, but considering her with the Nitro Squad, and also the race where she is featured with the Nitro Squad, it makes me think she is a member of the Nitro Squad, and also the leader, considering that she is the only one who was never a trophy girl. I remember when my brother and I saw Isabella, we thought she was Tawna. After I got all relics, and then beat Nitrous Oxide (mispelled Nitros Oxide in the American manual, or it might have been the original way it was meant to be spelled, but was changed to Nitrous Oxide in Nitro Karts), it mentioned the characters (playable characters, bosses, and trophy girls), and even their names, but it does not mention Fake Crash nor Penta Penguin. Nothing probably got thought up for Fake Crash, even though he could be known for being evil, because he uses the Uka Uka mask, and his first appearance was in Crash Bandicoot Warped, just dancing in a few levels. Penta Penguin was only unlocked by a cheat code, so many players probably would not have known about him, even if they think they got everything. I prefer Isabella with braided hair, because that's not confusing with Tawna.
The fact "Earth" one is the most stronger & aggressive one, "Air" is bubbly, "Fire" & "Water" have the hand gestures of benders. Their personalities or mannerisms fit the element, lol.

The original models creeped me out with their giant, unblinking eyes, so I would say the remake version of the characters are better just because of that.

Isabella, Ami, Liz, and Megumi definitely got a great makeover.
The original Megumi looked more like a brainiac with the white look and glasses, but in this one....she's more J-Pop idol.

And Liz definitely has a cooler image, the way she was posing for the cameras.

I can appreciate the distinct animations, but I gotta ding points off the new designs since they made the conscious effort to reduce each girl's bust for no legitimate reason. You're not being progressive when you redesign a character with a large bust to have a small bust. You're just hating on the population of women who have larger busts. If larger busts really upsets an artist... just make new characters and you completely sidestep this issue. There's a reason why Coco is accepted and everyone loves her and why everyone would've been pissed if they just never made Coco a thing and just brought Tawna back with a smaller bust and a geeky personality--make new characters.
Nah, it’s more like the skins and attention that makes Coco so special. Give the same attention to all the other females and no one will give a crap about Coco and her “personality”.

@Crash Bandicoot Fan29 I can't speak for everyone else but for me. In CTR Nitro, all the Trophy Girls look great but I love her accent & that blue/white suit. I got a weakness for things with shades of blue & white, depending on how it's done.
It's nice that they are playable in the remake.

It still holds up though. The problem is that the PS1 had a lot of model and texture warping, and the limited polys on models. I like the look of the older games but I also like the new ones too

Why do they now look like they are all 30 to 40s with lazy eyes and just seem like their going out for a jog. The original Trophy Girls looked Young, lively and capture Your attention. Whether that is good or bad, it is up to You.
I still think they look young, lively and attention grabbing, they just don't need to bounce their tits in your face to accomplish that any more since they have actual endearing personalities now. (Also, just because someone doesn't look like an anime schoolgirl doesn't mean they're suddenly in their 30s/40s.)

Did I say I like Anime schoolgirls...? not that young, maybe be in their 20s. Comparing their old and new faces. Their cheeks seem lower than their original making them seem older than what they seem to be at. Giving them a slightly droopy look, that is what I am concerned about. Even though we're comparing a low polygon design to a detailed graphic one lol.
Also I like to add that the 90s were a time where revealing characters wasn't much an issue and nobody batted an eye. Nowadays it apparent. I don't mind, You can have best of both physical attraction and personality. There is just people out their don't like it that way.
Why devs are afraid to make some of this girls with bigger chest or a thyni one? In the remaster the girls have the same body proportion, at least in the original the blonde one had less chest than the others

All the girls in the new one have different body types, Ami is fit and has the biggest chest, Isabella is a lot thinner than the rest and has the smallest bust, Megumi and Liz are the only ones that have a similar body type. I wish they all had a bigger chest too but they can't get away with that nowadays.

I like some of the new designs, I can understand some of the changes though like adding leggings...considering their legs are spread in a kart, as for eyes, they shouldve used the new Coco model for eyes.
Liz Id say is the only one that improved and even think they gave her the right eyes for her character.
Issabella needs a darker blue jumpsuit and her old hair-tucked-behind-ear style of hair, her new hair grosses me out and i have no idea why.
Ami's new hair suits her tough-girl persona they gave her, but I miss her old haircut.
Megumi looks virtually the same with the exception of certain...assets.
I can understand the toning down of the boobs, but jesus they didnt need to be as nerfed as much as they were, or at least only nerf a few of them so theres design variety.
