Absolutely beautiful starting specimen holy macro that is a beautiful piece of opal right there. Looking forward to this video up the great work and as always take care and God bless.
I had to see the QUEEN again.. when u DO cut it... if theres any little chips.. and u graciously do a giveaway- IM IN! Lmk what u want me to do: stand on my head - u got it! I make a video right away!! That is worth it... just a flake to gaze into under a magnifying glass would make the world a better place
Stunning. That piece is too grand to cut, and too grand to remain whole. It must be somewhat painful to only imagine how spectacular those cabochons would look. Thank you for sharing this video. Absolutely beautiful!
Did anyone ever step up and commission a piece for this opal? I love seeing the rough and then the final shape and size that turns out. This one really has me wondering!
Nobody has ever asked me to use this to make a piece of jewelry. That is actually very unusual. How could they know that I don't want to use it to make jewelry (I don't; it looks great and is worth a ton of money as is!) True, it just sits in a bank vault, but ..... I suppose that I could consider offers for it ......... almost everybody has a price that they "can't refuse!" Maybe I do, too? (I don't think so!)
@@dpulitzer Haha, I absolutely understand. I promise I am not one of those people that just want to see everything cut up on your channel. It's a huge stone and I was sad inside thinking that it likely would be used to make a few smaller pieces. I'm happy to hear you are keeping it intact (at least until your price is met 😄)
I've just started taking an interest in stones, particularly opals. They are just stunning. Most accounts I find only have tiny little specks. I am assuming it is extremely rare to find big chunks like this?
You have some of the best settings (findings) I have ever seen. Do you have a source that you could recommend. I do not have time to metal smith versus trying to figure out the best way to cut, sand and polish opal. Do you have any opinion on Boulder Opal? I work with it, but anything you have to add, it would be appreciated. By the way, how do I get on your "Private You Tube?" Thank you.
Do you have plans of cutting this anytime soon? What’s the chances of someone owning a small piece of the Desert Queen after its cut? Amazing, can’t wait for the video!
@@PulitzerOpal lookinig at it again, it might be best to remove the jelly and carve it into gummy bear. That fantastic gem tells it's own story just the way it is, mybe find a good way to display it as a very fine example.take it from the safe on a daily basis and play with it and remember how lucky you are.love your vids keep them coming please.Good luck.

Thank you kindly
I love it when these older videos pop up on my feed.
A dream for many is a reality for few. What an amazing stone! I’m sure whoever owns it right now is very pleased.
That is a really gorgeous stone sir and has to be one of the best in your collection. I don't blame you for holding onto it until you've got a buyer.
@@PulitzerOpal no worries at all sir, I’m just thrilled to be having a Pulitzer Opal opal coming to my collection.
How did I miss this on? What an amazing stone!!
Personally I love the blues and purples that opal holds. It's just amazing to me. It reminds me of finding beautiful aggots.
GOD BLESS MAN
What happened to this stone...am I missing a follow up video?
The pain of the plain..

Wauw what a chunk ,did you cut it up already ?
How do these look under UV light? I know some opals look even better under UV
I envision one single large double sided oval from that rock. I think it would be an incredible and stunning piece.
What can be the price of this stone
@@PulitzerOpal OMG. So opals costlier even that diamond?
Do you have
