Hey! Hello my friend, nice to read you ;-) This Schwalbe is a very good kit (except for one point), you may try this build, really! And thanks again for your videos!! See you soon mate
The swastikas were a part of history. Fortunately, i have some on an aftermarket sheet... sorry for my poor english because i did'nt use any automatic translator 🤪
@@stephanedavid3421 love your talented modeling skills. i can benefit from them in your videos. i, too, build models but not to the standards you have reached...respect...and your english is fine....j'espere que ma francaise etait bon aussi... ..jane
I heard that the engines of the Airfix Me 262 have a problematic fit, but you just tackled that issue very nicely and turned this kit into a real stunner! A question on the Prince August paints; are they acrylics like Vallejo? (they seem to have the same bottle).
Yes you're right Prince August and Vallejo are the same product! The engines correction took me a long time and this anomaly is incomprehensible. Everything fits well except this part... Thanks for your comment ;-))
I think that I will build this kit in the very near future, you have convinced me of that! Plus I'm building it for my Dad. I'm just not a big fan of the schemes that come with the kit, so I'll find and alternate. I really like the belts that you added to this project, and the paints you've used are really nice in their tone. I've never heard of that company before, but I'll have to look into them. This is a very beautiful piece :) And congratz on 100 subscribers :D
I can imagine what you can build with such kit! The seat belts are made with Tamiya tape (it's not a big surprise... :-) and thin electric wire. Using paint oils was a reveletion, it give a very good aspect to the final painting sheme. Thanks for the 100 subscribers ;-)
Never noticed any mistakes: Just a really informative insight full of creativity and great ideas from you! Please edit your comment as it kinda sells this top class effort short :o)
Hello, Thanks a lot for this comment. Effectively, "mistake" is'nt the right word... "surprise" sounds better. Anyway, this 262 is a real building pleasure. Thanks again 😉
After see a lot videos in y_o_u_t_u_b_e_ on this model specific i can said that is one the best videos on this version Me 262 1:72. I use the guide for built one best regards. i loved the end music.
Thanks a lot, your comment is much apprecied. This kit is relatively easy to build (except the engines roots), with a good paint you can present a beautiful and spectacular WW2 jet
I'm not so convinced, first about the kit and than about the modeling. The deep grooves on the kit are far away from the real look of the actual aircraft. I had the opportunity to see a museum Me 262. In fact the edges of the panels were carefully sealed and sanded, thus creating a smooth surface throughout. Some of the hatches and filler caps of the kit protrude from the surface, which gives a somewhat primitive impression. Another characteristic feature of the Me 262, not realized on the kit, are the leading edge slats, which always appear in an extended position on parked aircraft. You applied putty on some parts of the model and sanded them. So the grooves are partially filled in while the rest is still visible. That looks a bit unprofessional to me. 5:31: The transition between the engine fairing top side and the wing leading edge is scruffy. Finally: the name is Schwalbe, not swalbe...
Good evening, thank you very much for this interesting comment. How lucky to have seen this superb plane up close! Your comment is very well documented! It is a real pleasure to read something so constructive! See you soon.
Take a look at photos of the 262. The leading edge slats are almost never seen drooping when the aircraft is on the ground. Usual practice, for tidiness and safety, was to manually close them when the aircraft was parked; they then remain closed. Model manufacturers, including the likes of Tamiya, do not routinely show the slats open.
Great model of Schwalbe!
Thanks mate. I was always facineted by this gorgeous machine! See you soon on your channel :))
Nice job Stéphane!
Thanks!!!
Your builds get better and better!!!
Oh, thank you very much. The first videos were just pictures of my old models. Thanks again for the compliment 😉
Really very good 👍
Thanks David! See you soon. ;-)
Nice work Stéphane!

Nice model!
Thanks; this time, i decided to build a.... modern kit! ;-))
fantastic! and you added swastikas. now, it is a truly accurate historical representation of a groundbreaking aircraft...

il est chouette bravo.
Je me suis acheté celui de revell. ben dis donc bien surpris par sa qualité aussi par cette maquette pas toute jeune

A very old german military song from the begining of the XVIth century. Thanks for your interest.
