Mootal being himself and acting like a German is the only thing that brings me joy in life.
You say that now, but he'll be goose-stepping in no time, with that attitude.
I'm a plumber, and the realism of the loo snorkels, is probably gonna vary. The Kingsman would have to have a way to shut the drain system, otherwise the water would've just run down the drains of the toilets, sinks, showers, etc. But let's say they did, there would be residual sewer gases in the toilets, which are not good, nor very easy to breath in. but if you can get over breathing collected poop fumes, and the air pocket doesn't get shifted, then sure it could be possible.
From what I understand Kevlar is bullet resistant because its fibers flex in a way which causes kinetic energy to spread across a larger surface area than the bullet normally would. Ironically this means Kevlar’s effectiveness has as much to do with the bullets shape a it does with the bullets speed. Pointed bullets typically work better because the limit the Kevlar’s ability to flex and allows it to push through the fibers more easily. Kevlar is also tough and inflexible which makes it more knife resistant than typical clothing but it still susceptible to stabbing.
The reason I bring this up is because this would explain why the bullets didn’t work on Galahad’s suit but the knife did. Odds are the gun was using a bullet type with a rounded head (that tends to be more common with civilian fire arms) which is what Kevlar works best against. However kevlar wouldn’t have held up well against that knife because of the smaller surface area of the knife point. The Kevlar would also be fairly thin to be to passed off as suit material which would further reduce its piercing resistance. Edit: minor spelling and wording changes
Right on Collin, thanks for the explanation 🍻
@@MarcTheCyborg thanks!
This is one of my favorite comic book movies ever. I find myself doing this a lot more recently, but after seeing something new from a creator I like, it's often trash and I find myself just going back to the movies I liked. In this case, I watched Argylle, thought it was complete trash and watched this, First Class, and Layer Cake to remind myself that Vaughan was a good director once upon a time. After KTJL, I played Arkham City. Seems like the past was just legitimately better as far as art goes.
Woooo! Forge episode!
But also boooo I don't get to blblblblblbl at you in the chat scroll
41:00 yep, classism is very much an entrenched part of English culture.
I remember watching Kingsman but it don't really remember much about it, I don't even remember if I enjoyed it or not, must've not been my type of movie.
did the forge already cover the prequel?
No
We’re going to finish up the Vaughn arc with The King’s Man and Kick Ass - Metal has not seen the former!
We’re going to do these as our pre-records, so if one of us is away, look forward to the possibility of one of the final Vaughn films!
@MarcTheCyborg Nice, prequel was pretty good imho.
What was the dog test meant to prove?
A test to see if they can perform the deed dispassionately on command.
Rumor has it that it's a test that has been done with real intelligence agencies only it wasn't dogs, but people.
Don't know if that's true but it may be where they got the idea for the Kingsman plot.
Test of commitment to see if you’re willing to make a personal sacrifice for the mission.
As an almost meme-tier dog lover, there’s no chance I’d shoot the dog, but I do understand the function as a test of loyalty; even if I think it could just as easily be proving sociopathy as loyalty
@@MarcTheCyborg not pointing the finger at you by any means, but I notice my comment here has been deleted but youtube is still delivering reply updates as though I had commented.
Is there anything on the channels settings that would filter the comments more strictly than default or is this all on youtubes end?
@@MediumRareOpinions that’s odd, it’s still showing up for me - and while I’m now cohosting the show, channel settings are all on Mr Mootal, as we record in his house 😂
(Internet house, not actual house)
@@MarcTheCyborg interesting. It may just be my end. UA-cam acts funny sometimes.
You guys missed it was Elon Musk’s satellite that Valentine uses at the end of the film
The end of what.... The end of what!?
