Curious to know what the merchants say when you buy every gun in Resident Evil 4 Remake? Six years after the events of Resident Evil 2, US agent Leon S. Kennedy is sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, daughter of the US president, from a Spanish village controlled by the violent cult Los Illuminados. Other characters include Ada Wong, Leon's operator Ingrid Hunnigan, the civilian Luis Sera, and the antagonists Bitores Mendez, Ramon Salazar, Jack Krauser and Osmund Saddler. I was hoping in the re4 remake that there is a interaction between the merchant and luis/ada... In the original re4, there was a note the luis is taking taking the path that his grandfather used to take. Also after the fight with the two el gigante together with luis in the re4 remake, leon will come across the boulder blocking the way and luis said that it was not like that the last time... In the separate ways in original re4, in first cutscene, ada arrived in the village and grappling thru roof to roof of the houses. In the remake, ada and luis also met just like in the original.. Meaning that both ada and luis are taking shortcuts... Everytime leon meet the merchant(in both the original and remake), the merchant can be seen showcasing and displaying his merchandise, meaning he is always ahead of leon. The merchant is also taking shorcuts. In the remake, merchant use the words "our" and "we". Merchant has at least 1 or 2 people together with him carrying traveling and etc... There's a big chance that luis and merchant(or atleast the merchant's helper or something) stumble upon each other. OR. The merchant catch a glimpes of ada taking shortcuts... After the intense cart scene of leon and luis, they fight a horde of villagers and a couple chainsaw ganado and after that you can visit the merchant in a seperate room, you can visit the merchant together with luis but luis only waits outside the room... I was hoping that luis will mention about the merchant something like "that guy over there can fix your knife(taking accord that the knife was damage during the fight against the chaisaw ganado)", but he didn't, luis didn't say a word... The same goes to the merchant, i was also hoping that the merchant will say something about luis like "there is a guy here knows the ins and outs og this places" or about ada like " you are not the only outsider in here, mate" Damn, what a bummer, i thought capcom could have make the re4 lore much more interesting by adding this additional informations.
I was on the fence whether I liked the new merchant to be perfectly honest, but after playing the game, the fella does grow on you something awful. Although I'm still kind of sad the "What are ya buyin'?" didn't somehow make the cut, I wonder who made that decision considering it was literally his signature quote. Regardless, I do admit Michael Adamthwaite did a stellar job otherwise voicing this legend, the only english VO that's somewhat off the mark would be Ashley, some of her lines sound so... bored for some reason.
He always had a vaguely Brit/Aussie accent, it was just harder to tell because his voice was so gravelly/raspy in the original. His voice is a bit smoother here and he has more dialogue, making his accent much more noticeable.

Missed this old man a lot.
Kinda shocked I didn't hear Mercer doing the Merchant Voice. Was expecting but its definitely a new person doing the VA.
stranger, stranger, now that's a weapon 😂

I love how his greed over takes the virus but yet he’s infected
“I’ll buy it for a high price”😉
damn! this remake is amazing but i actually wish this was still just whatchya buyin/sellin? that was classic
He have the what are you buying line....
God is good to hear his voice again.😊😊😊😊😊
same, it's different but it's ok
I think you missed the broken butterfly
I think the merchant is salazars father due to the blue torches that denote royalty.
Hope they fix the camera here. It's weird.
Both the Merchant and the weapon on the table are framed very uncomfortably.
At first I thought it was xur 😅
Xur's based off of him, IIRC
Great ost great vo great context ❤️
there are bunch of ammo on the shelf, why didn't he sell them

I've got good news for you. He does indeed say "What are ya buyin'." It's just random whether he'll say it or not.
He does says the ''what are you buying'' line, you just have bad luck....
I'd buy that for a dollar.

Aussie in the original, but sounds like a mix of the two here

Im surprised they didnt add a xur easter egg where they make him say “my will is not my own”
Where do you get the blacktail and can you put the laser on it?
You get it when you reach the castle which I believe is chapter 7, and no. No attachments for it.
