Daim screws ! Same - we`re stuck and nothing worked. No impact screw, no hammering, nothing. And my grinder was "toasted" I drilled them out with some pretty worn bits. Very frustrating. Took me 1 full hour/rotor just to drill the screws- but finally I`ve managed to remove them.
Oh damn watch this video it will be quick and easy ua-cam.com/video/0y_k0Q2c6nY/v-deo.htmlsi=zzAx1ZfpWvKYHiWo
So basically the same as every other old Honda good to know about the washers Ty
Yup!!
Maestro, that two bolts could be taken out with an impact tool probably.Otherwise great job. What is the part name for the "little guy"?I need to replace mine.
Compa impact driver for the rotor screw it’s a time saver
Yup
😂 No "special tools needed"😅
Watching this has nearly convinced me to have the dealer do it. They want my firstborn son!
Lol
Did you have to bleed the air out of your lines after done or not.
No I didn’t remove anything that would cause air to enter the lines just need to pump the brakes after ur all completed to retract the position back to grab the pads
What if u put back together without the washers
Which washers?
Hammer and a pointy pin steel is all you needed lol
Yeah
No special tools needed... pull out a dremel
This is what happens when a brake pad and rotor video turns into a how to remove rotor video.
I could replace the rotors or I could hire someone else to deal with stress and frustration of it lol
All up to you
Hi , how much you charge for the rear brake job ?
Labor $190 clean adjust and do it correct
Including parts should be how much may i know
@@thehegt around $320 front brakes and rotors both same in rear
Damn guy... You didn't even replace those bolts you grinded off? What a good buddy you are... May not need them to get the rotors and brakes done..but damn dude..how you at a shop doing that? I'd get it if you were at your pad doinfbg that shit and to your own whip..but at a shop and it's your homie's?
They are special order from dealer couldn’t get them on spot guy needs his car back eventully they will be put on but it’s somthing that can’t disable the car
I will up date u and make a small clip when we do this follow up
@@RBTheMechanic no need. Video was still informative I'm just like..damn... But Ey...get your paper
you don't need the screws, my guy. I've had rotors that don't even come with the holes for the screws; they're helpful in keeping the rotor in place while you're trying to get the tire on, but they're doing nothing when the lug nuts are on the car
@@Caffeine_Addict_2020 Those screws are only there because it make the factory assembly line work easier. They do not provide any additional security or enhance the integrity of the braking system.
What are the torque specs?
I would have to check from shop msg me tomorrow noon
@@RBTheMechanic alright its tomorrow afternoon haha
@@BadDriversofSmyrnaGA ur suppose to msg me I be on work floor
So you don't really need the screw that holds on the rotor
Yup
No special tools needed? then he grinds the screw. lol
Not a big deal
Wtf. All u needed to do was use an old/beat up phillips screwdriver and hammer to do the job. Haha. Just hammer it while slowly rotating the screwdriver. Not only those rotor screws should've been the first thing to loosen up before removing everything else so it doesnt spin freely.
Thanks for the information prolly screwdriver will not work even the proper correct tool punch mostly don’t work
@@RBTheMechanic it'll definitely work bro. Try it next time. I've done it in the past many times before i bought the impact driver.
@@bnyang84 will try that I wasted $500 on the impact now it’s collecting dust this is what I do now and i love this process ua-cam.com/video/0y_k0Q2c6nY/v-deo.html
Jesus cutting wheel ? Hit it with PB blaster wait a bit then use an impact screwdriver and a heavy hammer. NO PROBLEM AT ALL dude. I use lith grease on the threads and a simple screwdriver to put back on. No need for impact screw driver to put on. I don't see that it needs a brake job.
I know is an "old comment", but this doesn`t work allways. In most cases, the screws are so rusted/stuck that even an impact-driver - can`t do the job. You use a grinder and try to rotate them or drill them out.
