Just saw your short about the big video tomorrow and you mentioned you had 3d printed big models. I am a figurine painter and providing STL's or selling of them is definitely a good way to get a different form of community engagement. Every game i have played I have always wanted to be able to print my favorite characters or heros. Sure there have been some janky ways to get the 3d file but it is always less than optimal or doesn't meet the expectations of me the painter.
Fastidious is my favorite CC from WoR and I think gets way more hate than deserves. Obviously every CC will get hate when the internet is such a toxic place, but I think he truly does good by the community in giving his take on things and for the voice of the players. WoR in general has some great CCs overall. I am super hype for what Fateless has in store for us and what they can bring to the table of gacha games.
Being forced to be more active is preferable for a lot of gamers (even if they don't realise it!). Yeah, getting rewards by setting auto battles is great and time-saving; but do you get the same sense of accomplishment? It's like cheating in a game: Yes, it is fun for a while if you can't die or you get unlimited ammo; but there is no longevity there as you are not achieving things on your own merit. Something to consider when you decide on how much of any given encounter may be automated (as well as chain-running dungeons on auto) vs players actively participating and writing their own name in lights. Which gives you more satisfaction over the long haul?
The problem with WoR is that the drop rates are trash and you can't advance without certain champs. I love a good grind but if you don't have the gear or champ required to do the grind, it gets old. And drop rates for gear is stupid. 2000 runs and one ancient mythical piece........gets old. One thing good about raid is when you grind 2000 runs you will get pieces that you can actually use. You can use a 5* piece and it will help you advance. Watcher has to fix their drop rates or they will die. I've played WoR since the beginning and I'm still stuck on levels that I shouldn't be stuck on.
That's indeed a problem in WoR. And I'm under the impression that drop rates for good gear got worse in recent months. Their criticism of the fighting mechanics are are bit weird however. Raid has way simpler and more boring mechanics and they just scrapped sophisticated fighting mechanics in favor of simpler ones for their own game. 🤔
Not only that. It is already so hard to get good gear and the right stats on it. Once you do and upgrade. The upgrade will 95% of the time terrible that the gear will be useless. They definitely need better rates on dropping gear, stats and upgrades
Still waiting for the J Gigs Collab! I'm actually shocked that Fast didn't bring up the shady WOR tactics where they lie about your pull rates and don't communicate with their playerbase.
I am a PC gamer but Raid ticked all my boxes back in 2019 & now I don't really go for any other gaming, as mmorpg has more burn out. I don't see a clone competing that well in the gotcha market for this genre. FATELESS needs a USP, ideally random element in environment, which computer gaming was born for, but few have harnessed.

Regarding the Lords in WoR i mean i cant imagine anyone NOT using Lust, Arrogance and whatever the third hero that was mentioned wouldnt use them because they didnt have the legendary lord for that faction when those toons are better then most others by themselves and also there is Epic lords ie "Wrath" wich you get for free after a week or so.
Problem to solve: how to start as a side game for Raid and then gradually drag people to play the Fateless game more often and longer than Raid as there is imo no way to grind two games at the same time.
Drag? It's easy to download and try a different game. I have played Raid for 4.5 years, and I have tried many other games along with Raid. WOR is the only one I still play. Maybe cuz I am end game with Raid; I don't grind it that much anymore.
From a design standpoint do you think saphs issue with WoR could be the scale or perspective as the characters in raid are closer and larger and in WoR they are smaller to see the whole board. I feel the perspective diminishes the visibility of the animation quality. #Team Robinhood
I played WoR for about a month before quitting. I got a Silas and a few good heroes... The big problem is that even after a month I didn't knew what champion were doing, boss mechanics or anything. It was basically just "if you have this op hero then you can do it". I had a bunch of good marksman so I could do gear raid 3 and marksman faction... but I couldn't do anything else in the game. To this day, I don't even know what champion skills do... I only know how to read a tier list and if you don't have the S+ forget it.
Dont ruin their hope. Fateless will milk some dollars from the hellhades fanboys, but then they'll realize all games are there to make money and then they'll go back to raid. The only thing that can dethrone raid is plarium itself lol.
The ONLY reason I still play raid (and spend) is because I learned how to play from CC's like Hell Hades. Before UA-cam I was a casual and I sucked. I was trash. I had quit 2 times already. It holds merit.
@@speachless88 Yeah i don't disagree that there are other people in your situation, but for every person like you that consumes 3rd party content from UA-cam there are 10 people that either A - Don't know that they are bad, or don't care that they are bad and just play the game. B - Know how to play from their own intuition. 3rd party consumption is a small proportion of any game
@@RemoMargiotta Video games require MONEY to continue to exist. Every single heavy spender I know in my clan, and I'm a clan leader, or EVER had in my clan watches CC's. All the baddies barely spend, or are F2P and are casual. I stand strong from experience. The money comes from the INFORMED.
I would not do a Moses hero because you may lose players whose personal backgrounds may leave them conflicted about playing. Moses serves the one true God and that would mean that you would have to include YHWH. This could potentially create an issue with Christians, Jewish players and even some Muslim players. You would not expect them to be in this game genre but they are so unless you’re going to add Mohammed, I would say it’s a bad idea that potentially gets worse! I am an American and really don’t want to see a Robin Hood in the game.

I have a feeling, that in Raid is a secret table where there is a different % chance of pulling certain Champs of the same rarity. Like there is a way less probability of pulling a taras than pulling a Jingwon. I hope youre not doing it. I would like to see Lilith in the game.

Personally, yeah, I think so. WoR's graphics are actually really good. The fact that things are so small definitely have less of an impact though
