    The part when you dismantle the baffle and only your arm is visible is very good.

    I have the same ones and they still sound amazing, I purchased an Aiwa Receiver off ebay with 230 watt power consumption and they sound amazing. Question: How would you extend the speaker wires on these?

      To extend the wires on these would be a bit tricky. I suppose you could twist some speaker wire around the bare ends of the existing wires, making sure that the white stripe on the existing wire matches the stripe on the new wire so that the polarity is correct, and then wrap the bare metal parts with electrical tape so the wires don’t touch. This is quick and easy, and I have not had an issue doing it this way. A slightly stronger alternative to electrical tape is wire nuts, which are often used to join wire ends in the wiring behind walls of homes, especially lights and fans. (In fact, I have some old speakers with wire nuts inside.) Those are sure to last.

      @@djijspeakerguy4628 Will do man thanks for the reply, I was thinking the samething. I'll look into the wire nuts since I was planning on electrical tape. Is a 12 gauge ok?, Since the wires are skinny I wondered which ones to twist them too.

      @@henryfernandez2533 12 gauge is probably too large. The bigger the number, the smaller the wire. The original wire is probably 18 gauge or even 22 gauge, and those sizes would fit into the tiny wire connections in the back of a stereo like that Aiwa much better than 12 gauge, which wouldn’t fit at all.

      @@djijspeakerguy4628 Perfect man just ordered 100 feet of the 22 gauge.
      I have the Aiwa AV-DV75 Receiver which has 230 watt power consumption hooked up to two JENSEN CS315, Bass is insane on these & highs are decent too.
      I noticed the receiver had more connections for Front and Back Speakers so I added those Aiwas too but I noticed the front and back option is either or so I bridged the Jensens with the Aiwas and man it sounds amazing but I want to move the Aiwas further to obviously surround my place more. Love all the old school stuff, I grew up on the Aiwa mini stereos, The one that bought with the speakers in this video had an issue with the display shutting off so I ended up finding this receiver on ebay.

      @@djijspeakerguy4628 Hey buddy so I tried the 22 guage wire you recommended for an extension of 70 feet but they lost sound quality according to a chart that I saw, 12 guage is the only one that would hold up the sound quality for that distance on these 6ohm speakers, Let me know what you think because I really need the speaker 70 feet away.

    The woofer has built in amplifier in this box or going directly to main deck ?

      It isn’t a powered subwoofer, but it seems to actually be built better than the usual Aiwa powered sub.

      I think it is mostly for looks in this case, but sometimes they actually work. In this case, I have to put my ear up to it to tell that it is actually at least doing something. Sometimes, they are just fake plastic domes.

    That aint the tweeter.. thats the midrange speaker, the tweeter is beside the midrange, the small one.

    • @djijspeakerguy4628
      @djijspeakerguy4628  4 роки тому

      Yet another person tricked by the piezo “super tweeter.” The “mid range” in that speaker actually handles 95 percent of the treble. The only purpose behind that “tweeter” is to look cool. You literally have to turn the treble all the way up and put your ear up to it to hear anything. It is no different than just sticking a dust cap there as a decoration and calling it a tweeter.

      I don’t know what was wrong with this upload. The cameras in my smart phone and my tablet both record at 1080p, and I try to upload all my videos at either 720 or 1080, there must have been an issue with this when it went through to UA-cam.

      It looks on the Internet like the front grill is held on in the same way that the silver panel is on the front of my speaker, press-fit and maybe slightly glued. It should pry off with enough pressure, and there may even be slots on the bottom to insert a flat screwdriver to do this. Underneath that grill, you should find a tweeter and a midwoofer held on with screws.
