I used to own one oh these Aiwa mini-component systems and I really loved the way they sounded. But the problem with them was that, they didn't last long. My unit only lasted for about 3 years if I still remember it right. Actually I've been hunting online for them and planning to buy one if the price is reasonable. Unfortunately most of the units being sold online have a lot of issues. Nice content. More power to your channel.
my aiwa used For 10 years No problem,later change a new laser head and belt then use another 10 years. The older model is better,such As NSX380/430/550520/V51G,V71G

This Aiwa brand was very successful here in Brazil in the 90's. It was a dream of consumption for many people to have the mini system devices of this brand.

@@sh0t734 Yes, same like Sony and Bose which are all made from crap China electronic components (PCB), India speaker drivers and Thailand plastic materials for the speaker body. In Singapore people are throwing away Bose speakers and Sony Bluetooth speakers like nobody business because they are totally crap.
The best acoustics in the world were produced in the USSR! Brands such as Radiotehnika, LOMO. And all Western brands such as Quince, Sony and all sorts of Yamahas were made from cheap low-quality components! The Western consumer did not know what GOST quality was, so he thought that quince was of good quality!

low frequency speaker - good performance! Use all speakers in self-built acoustics - the acoustics will be good. But aiwa also play well!! I have nsx f9 - I really like the sound!!

О,я помню когда друг купил эту систему айва,я пришёл к нему и он включил по громче,мне очень понравилось я и себе хотел такую но не было у меня тогда таких денег и я был взял самсунг мини систему и был тоже доволен пока она не сломалась,сначало сломался касетник потом и диск,использовал как усилитель подключал к компьютеру по аух,но потом отнёс на работу и она сейчас там а домой куплены были колонки мультимедийные свен.

I had a friend who had one of these when I was a kid. Mine was a Sony I got from my grandfather. I spent hours tuning the equalizer to get it to sound decent, but it still wasn't great. Wish I still had it though. I don't own a single tape player anymore.
One thing all of these cheap Japanese boombox-type systems had in common was terrible sound quality. Probably one of the main reasons why nobody liked Japanese products in the 80's and 90's.

kolonun içinden elyaf vs. çıkmadı. Kutu portsuz kutu. Portsuz olması sayesinde zaten woferın bozunmadan daha yüksek peak değerlerine erişebiliyoruz. Ya bunların tasarımı mükemmel ötesi idi. Bu sınıftaki hiç bir cihaz aiwanın verdiği bass tadını vermedi bugüne kadar. Bir içimde kalan dinleme şansım olmayan Philipslerin woox mevzusu. Şu an bir çok müzik kutusunda evet passive radiator adıyla woox var. Ancak Philipste bunu duyup dinlemek istiyorum. Pioneer CS-9070 lerim var. 30cm bass sürücülü. Ancak yinede aiwanın bu build in subwoofer gibi ses alamıyorsun ses kısık iken.
Aynen kardeşim, aiwanın iç bileşenlerinde kullandığı sony ürünü tek materyal flex kabloları idi. Üzerindeki filtrelerden tut kullandığı kapasitörlerin kalitesi, diğer bileşenleri ve hoparlörlerdeki akustik tasarımı ile dünyanın bir numaralı cihazları olmuştur zamanında. Sony firması bunu çekemeyip ortaklık adı altında kendisini satın alıp bitirmiştir. Aiwanın verdiği ses kalitesini bütün samimiyetimle söylüyorum ki başka hiç bir cihazdan alamadım. Sony imiş, yok technics-panasonic imiş, Bayer dynamic bose imiş yamaha imiş onkyo sansui falan elime geçen cihazın sayısı inı ben bilmiyorum ama aiwa müzik dinlemek ve dinletmek için yapılmıştı... Walkmaninden tutun da diğer setlerine kadar. Bası istediğin tonda istediğin seste dinle, tizleri ve midlerin yanında vokalleri dinlemek bile ayrı bir zevkti. Ne pioneerler sonyler ne sharplar yanından geçemedi...

9070 çok özel bir hoparlör değil ki.. lx800 21 cm bassıyla 30 cm diye övdüğün cs leri alır karşılaşmada.. çok eminim
@@SoundTailor burada bas veya almak veya ezmek değil konu. Aiwa nın özelliği naturel doğal ses, tüm enstrümanları tek tek detaylı en imce ayrıntısına kadar duyabiliyorsun ve de bas ve tizi diğerlerinde olmadığı gibi keskin ayırıp, eqo ayar yapabiliyorsun. Bilmem izah edebildim mi.

Awesome video but I just cant stand using powertools to unscrew the case. Using a regular screwdriver wouldnt destroy the screws and in many cases is faster than using a power drill.
It doesn't wreck the screws if you do it right, and it faster than by hand. The only screws you may care about aesthetic appearance would be front visible screws, but these type of speakers hide the screws, so I wouldn't worry too much :)

Great video. What is the importance of having this 2.2uf 100v capacitor in the speaker? If we put a different uf, is there a change in the sound frequencies?
Thanks. Yes, there may be minor changes. But I am not an expert on the subject.
The bipolar/non-polar capacitor acts as a filter. I dont claim to be an expert but this is what i understood. 2.2uf is the given value for those small speakers because those small speakers are designed to only produce sound on the higher frequency range, most likely 10-20 khz. 2.2uf is conencted to both of em to block any frequency thats below the 10-20khz range. If you go with a higher microfarad capacitor, the blocked frequency will be extended: like the limit will go down to around 1khz and you do not want that in your small speakers else you would burn them.
again this is just my own understanding, feel free to research on google too! pretty sure the search results explains it way better than me.
@@HelipOfficial 2.2 uf should be around 9k hz cut of frequency assuming 8 ohms. 18k hz at 4 ohms. Any way the drivers and parts together are worthless, I would be extremely surprised if altogether they spent $5-7.00 per speaker including the enclosure.

I had that exact system. It was nice, played loud and all that but my cousin had a different model that blew mine out the water. I never could figure out why.
i had similar experiences,my brother had philips fw-335(which i inherited later on),my friends,neighbours and other relatives had systems from sony,panasonic,aiwa,those systems were more powerful,but they did not have balance and musicality,accuracy as my brothers fw-335,even my brothers neighbours who bought costlier systems always praised his fw-335,the reason was the components used inside it,it was made up of philips tea5321+jrc preamp+matsushita(panasonic) class ab ic and philips sfr16 resistor+elna re2 capacitors-this combination gave excellent sound.i had made a list of all the systems which sounded good from different brands,when i studied what was inside them-i found one thing was common-they were powered by philips integrated circuits

Can you tell me how I can brighten the screen of my MHC RX110? It is basically new, barely used, but the screen and lights all look a bit dim...unless that was like that from the beginning. I dont understand why the lights dim if not used. Can you explain why this could be and how to solve it?
it could be the capacitors. This happened to me on my dad's old aiwa system. its usually the 100uf50v cap on the driver circuit of the vaccum fluorescent display, but it depends on what kind of system you have.
@@HelipOfficial I have the RX110. Its pretty new, but when the sun is shining, its hard to tell. I cant recall if this is what it was like when brand new 25 years ago, but mostly was in storage for the last 20 years. I was also going to have it running a bit longer to see if the weakness goes away and becomes brighter.

Ahşap kasaya plastik kompenentle yerleştirilmiş sistemi henüz sökemedim. İnternette araştırma yaparken bu videoya rastladım. Böylece kanalla da tanışmış oldum. Bu kasayı sökmeyi becerebilirsem sizden yardım alma şansım olur mu? Keyifle, sağlık içinde içerik üretmenizi diliyorum.

I have an NSX S989, almost like brand new, it has simillar speakers like this one, also 4 way with built in 200mm subwoofers, but I have to say that the "subwooofers" are too weak, they have too small magnets, yes the whole system soud prety decent at least on lower volume. But if you crank it up, they begin to distort... the subs are weak and too small for some serious bass. But the system they originally came with has a ton of power, which these canot handle. You get better sound if you buy a sony with sub out, RX99, 110 or other and connect an external subwoofer to it. Overall I think than Sony has better sound, not so boomy but the mids and highs are clearer and the whole sound is better quality than aiwa.

Normalde ses rengi güzel aiwa'nın. Fakat kabin konusunda sıkıntı çeken bir marka. Band pass kabinin bassları sert oluyor.
Aslında tam tersidir bandpass kabinler çok derin basları vermek için tasarlanıyor bir de pasif crossover ların etkisini azaltmak adına fakat bunlar malumunuz stk amfiler ve amfinin okuduğu frekans aralığı çok alçak değil orta basları da veriyor , ayrıca kabinlerin için boş izolasyon yok. @@hasanerkull

I have 2 such speaker boxes from different models. One of about 30 watts other of about 60-70 watts .I tested them a long time and I am very dissapointed by the sound and how poor the bass is compared to a 5 inch 60 watt speaker box from Philips Fwc 55. To me it sounds terrible,flat and with no bass at all. And I am a owner of 4 Aiwa Mini Systems so I am not hating on Aiwa but I find this design inferior to classic bass reflex design.
Good speaker but enclosure design is worst.
