- The Ribble Steam Railway held their Steam Gala on 26th and 27th March 2022. I was lucky to be able to spend some time there over the two days. Many Thanks to all involved for a thoroughly enjoyable event.

Once again another trimendous video from Mollsmyre, l have thurly enjoyed it immensely, not only do we have these great steam engines, although that is the main reason for the video, but a great view of a river with many boats tied up ready for sailing no doubt, but it was really trimendous to see these old steam engines all spruit up and giving people a thrill of the old days, so many many thanks to those who made this video.
Thanks John. It certainly was good to get back to the Ribble Steam Railway. Seems such a long time since I was last there. The lovely weather was an added bonus.
Good to see the Ribble open again and lots of visitors there, and those new murals looked very impressive. Nice touch at the end....

Another trimendous video from -- Mollsmyre.
Excellent compilation of shots. I visited the line one Sunday back in 2016 although they were just using a diesel shunter
on the services but it was worth the visit to view the large collection of locos in the museum and workshops.
The Preston dock area would have been an interesting place to visit back in the old days when it was busy with ships
although nobody would have batted an eyelid back then when a steam loco went by.
It certainly would have been a hive of activity. Nothing stays the same for long now.
That looked a not unpleasant day. Some impressive facilities they've got there now. I'm not sure whether any parts of might date back that far, but for the spirit iof No.20 to date back to 1863, was it? is quite something
It was a very enjoyable weekend Andrei. Yes your correct it was 1863 No.20 was built.
whats a steam gala?
It is an event where as many steam engines are ran as possible. We only have a short line so on a normal running day we use one engine. On a gala we do try to get as many running as we can as well as the odd visiting loco comes too.
