The ‘Joe Marler is a cracking bloke’ line is old. No grown man randomly makes fun of a bloke’s mum. He knew what he was saying. Haskell’s story about his wife only strengthens that claim and indicates he says a lot of stuff he shouldn’t. Why? Cause he’s a knob head. And no matter how much of a ‘good lad’ he may be some of the time, it doesn’t excuse him being a piece of crap other times.
Max did the right thing, what Marler said was out of order, I’ve played in the front row and am all for sledging but that was way over the line
