I have always admired Alexander Graham Bell for his character and treatment of the deaf.
The famous deaf and blind Helen Keller met Bell when she was just six, and he was instrumental in arranging Keller’s working with Anne Sullivan, the “Miracle Worker” famed teacher who taught Keller to read and write.
Keller was captivated by Bell, he was so nice and encouraging to her.
She dedicated her auto biography to Bell, a move that deeply touched him:
“To Alexander Graham Bell who taught the deaf to speak and enabled the listening ear to hear speech from the Atlantic to the Rockies I Dedicate this story of my life.”
It's so good story
The most touching and powerful play vignette I have ever seen. A masterpiece!!!!!
i love this
i love this video
Wonderfully captivating! I turned this on for my 3rd and 4th grade children to watch, but the whole family, 2year old included, gathered around and begged for more.
Beautifully well done and touching.
Shows what talented actors and actresses can do with an item of history.
It seems so pure and wholesome.
Cool
I think people tend to forget that for deaf people talking isn't their natural language and his teaching of what is called the oral method forced deaf people to not use sign language people would even go as far as to tie down their hands it really was horrible what they did and it was because of Alexander Graham Bell and making this method popular I understand he had good intentions to try to help deaf people fit better into the hearing world but you should never keep people from speaking their natural language
Oh nonsens!! I have a deaf daughter and she use sign language and her voice!!

He didn't invent the telephone.
Antonio Meucci did.
Check it out on Wikipedia.
No Alexander Graham Bell did. Look it up on google
Not true.
In the litigation between Bell and Western Union, after exhaustive testimony and documents, federal judge said evidence conclusively proves Bell invented telephone. Western Union lawyers finally came to the same conclusion.
“Of course he did” was their final position.
Things worked out well for both parties.
Bell Telephone paid a royalty to Western Union on each phone for the improved transmitter from Western Union designed by Thomas Edison, and Western Union formed Western Electric corporation as the exclusive manufacturing arm of Bell.
And the inventor Elias Gray competitor of Bell ended making more income from his invention predecessor of Fax machines than Bell ever made from the telephone.
