I wish someday you would also make a song on the racism faced by NON-TRIBALS in North east. Its so casual being called an outsider, bihari etc. . Non tribals are bullied so casually that it is now accepted as a normal phenomena. Non tribal shopkeepers face bullying in terms of non payment of money for things purchased. Does anyone know that 80% of state civil services are reserved for tribals in Arunachal Pradesh. Non tribals get thrashed on any ocassion you can think of. For eg in Itanagar as a bike unfortunately made a dent/scratch on a tribal's car, the guy was killed in broad day light. In shillong, non tribals were thrashed for playing basketball. These are just the highlighted examples. RACISM has become a CULTURE within NORTH EAST.
Its my sincere request Rapper BIG DEAL to BE THE VOICE for us non tribals too. If you guys wont stand for us, then this will be HYPOCRITIC SONG. It will look like as if you dont want RACISM when it comes to tribals, but you are ok and casual when it comes to non tribals living in North East.
In the end it doesnt matter what bad people said or did, but what did good people dint say or do.

i think there is a need for inclusiveness in studies. For eg, students get to read the english translation of Rabindranath Tagore's poems, we get to learn the tamil literature translated in hindi or english. But there is no such thing happening when northeast is concerned. I think the literature of northeast should also be included in the curriculum, translated, literature is a good way of learning the culture of the place. And northeast is a treasure in terms of culture. This step would make children aware of the "existence" of Northeast india.
A north indian girl born and raised in Mizoram ( northeast India) knows the racism she has faced in Mizoram. Being called 'Vainu' . Just as northeastern people are called chinkey. What was my fault if I had big eyes, long nose, why was I bullied so much for that and nobody would call me by my real name. As a child , it was devastating, I would never want to go to school because I was the only big eyed girl in class and I was alienated. I was alone. And this is story of thousands of people like me. Northeastern people , if you don't want people to be racist to you then stop being so racist in your own state. Change starts from you. Period!
