Kara will always win. She’s small but powerful!! We’ve seen your parents with the boys. They know what they are doing. If it were really a “fight” sweet Justice would have been hurt. Bruce just needed help and didn’t know what to do. Amazing family and dynamics

Also patient may exhibit cognitive impairment/ deficits. Confusion to full delirium. Pain response/ uti symptoms. Totally understand why Bruce voiced is issue; great communication 🐶

I knew it was because Bruce wasn't feeling well. But I want to give a shout out and big hug to your parents.😊 Because they are well trained, your dad was able to snap them out if it with a pillow. I know their nerves were shot! Two intact male Cane Corso's going at it had to be scary. But they handle it❤

@@jasoncorey That's bs 2 male dogs will do that. It's a bad combination. That's why most people with two dogs get a 1 male and 1 female. This could have gone bad for your dad when he was trying to come in between that and separate them.

Poor Bruce, can't even imagine the amount of pain he must have been in. :(
I'm glad that he's on the mend at least, I imagine if it's a chronic issue that it may be something needs to be looked out for in the future, I guess it's something you'll want to get a regular check up for, so if it does occur again it can be caught early avoiding too much pain for Bruce. Poor justice, getting the short end of it as well. Glad to see that things are being patched up between, it shows a lot of restraint from Bruce to not leave any marks despite being in such pain - you guys are doing a great job with the both of them!

You probably didn't read my long message yesterday about my pits getting into a fight, but that's great that your dad was able to yell at them and they stopped because the first time that it happened with my pits my teenage daughter was home by hers and for some reason maybe like 2 weeks prior to the fight I had told my daughter if they ever fought to never get in the middle of it, and she didn't she called me screaming and crying and I made her lock herself in the room, because I would never want my dogs to hurt each other, but before that my first priority is to my daughter the second time was pretty bad and that's how my son got bit, so that is good to know I did not know that bear spray would break it up. I have thought about putting a shock collar on the younger pit because he's the one who will not stop, but decided against that because that might irritate the situation more.

    • @jasoncorey
      @jasoncorey  Рік тому +2

We went on vacation to a different country and booked our dog into a really good kennel. Great reviews, etc. But it was so emotionally devastating to her, she was never the same again. She probably thought we abandoned her. She was a velco-dog for weeks after we got back. But she was emotionally different. She was jittery and nervous and very needy. It broke my heart, I don't ever want to leave a pet alone again at a kennel, they don't understand.

  • @katm7110

Our heeler is terrified of other dogs and reactive. We think she was probably attacked when she was a stray, she doesn't like to walk or really leave the house. Although she was wonderful with the little sick stray we had with us for ten days, very concerned about the little dog. I gave ours the treats when they were around each other, one big win for the heeler. Maybe some day we can have two babies!!

My guess is that Bruce wasn't feeling well (bladder stones), Justice wanted to play, and Bruce wasn't having it? Dogs can definitely have off days. Some days, Floyd (my Cane Corso mix rescue) is cranky and barks at every person, dog, and leaf that blows around in the wind during our walks. Other days, he could care less. It's really interesting to experience and try to understand. We train every day. ❤

so I paused the video, as someone who does Dog Training and Dog Psychology and Dog Behavior, the crying and whining are usually a sign of pain in the dog, and or their way to say hey, something is wrong with me. for Bruce to just snap at Joey like that, I'm gonna go with Bruce was in pain, which can make a any dog act out of their normal behavior. I'll watch the rest of the video now to see if that was it. love how you train your dogs, and the dog psychology you use! love your dogs so much!

(Unfortunately my ex attacked me, thank God not in front of them) but we moved from a house to apartment and she is having trouble adjusting. She went from the meekness and kindest dog to creating a 5-8 ft barrier around me from other people. I have to shake hands and call them friends or she goes protect mode. I am having to walk my pack separately because of this. Which course would be best for us please? I would love to go back to walking my 4 pack down the streets in downtown.

Absolutely it was due to BW being in pain no other reason. Your boys have their own language now. Redirecting them is really key. Now that they have had one fender bender JJ may test him later on My boys argued when Vader had cancer and didn’t feel well. You will never need anything but your voice. I used to step in between my boys when they first arrived and they stopped immediately Your boys are amazing. You have done an amazing job. Don’t count out JJ yet. He will be just as great. It takes time.
It is so sad that us Corso owners feel like we have to justify why our dogs do what they do and if these were Chihuahua’s you wouldn’t feel like you had to explain it.

I agree with soooo much in this video! Y'all hit the nail on the head. Btw, let me just nerd out here, the "cheat code" is technically called "model rival theory" 😂😂😂 I have one great Dane (my personal, responsibly bred dog) that is an impeccably trained role model dog, the other (not my personal dog) is a neurotic mess and afraid of the training process itself. BUT she does what she sees my dog get success at, and lucky for her (and her owners) she is about as well rounded as could be given the brain wiring she came into the world with. Dogs are freaking amazing and adaptable creatures! BW was definitely crying for help.

On them,so we had to break that up or one mite get seriously hurt as they are super scary when they are kicking off!!!!
We are using muzzled to get them back together but so far one of the girls is just resisting,so we put her into the kennel next to our big boy so they could get used to each other and so far so good, but I've got to get them back together as this is rediculous and very time consuming.

Got attacked cuz BW wasn’t feeling well & got irritated by JJ’s being too much in his face. ?? That’s my guess.

I totally get it. Funny how dogs can just let it go after a fight. Wish people coukd just see the bigger picture. Its like that with your boys. There was a bigger picture. ❤ to them.

Hmmmmm, could it be that Bruce was trying to Discipline Justice if Justice was acting up? Especially w/having Company. Or Bruce was hurting??

I think because you were gone and Bruce was hurting, it was a lot of stress on him.

Could it be that Bruce was reinforcing his leader/Alpha position after being away having surgery? Did Bruce have pain medication?

Yeah never let them fight. That can cause of damage more vet bills. U would be surprised people that say oh let them fight.

He's crabby, sore, and even though Bruce loves your parents, he misses you. He just went through a lot of stress and pain, and if Justice was annoying him or causing him anxiety and/or pain, he would give a warning. That's my guess.

I’d say it was because Bruce was not feeling well. A dog in pain will lash out sometimes.

They are not littermates and I always tell people NEVER get a dog from the same litter due to just that 💪
