@@Kaiszer6655 Pretty sure you can only bring 1 sub right? Easyhoon played a very specific role on that team that they valued a lot at the time. Just a case of only being able to bring 6 players to worlds, I believe.

@@schorfactor7000 oh i wasn’t able to watch the livestream but i did catch up on the written summaries today haha. They say jokes are half meant though, and I totally understand if they do wish for more recognition. In a team of great players (plus the history) it’s hard to feel like you got enough recognition for the good things you do, but then when you make mistakes or aren’t in the best form it gets focused on too much. Hopefully, everyone will feel 120% appreciated in 2024.

It's been deferred to 2025 so we will have Deft for 2024
He can only postpone till the age of 28 (the latest), and he is gonna be 28 next year so it's 100% confirmed to be his final year next year. Previously he just wanted to retire early because he almost saw no hope of winning Worlds but then he won, so he felt like he could do it again and next year is REALLY his final chance.

Red Velvet is one of those groups that are from a big company, so they’re quite known in Korea and even globally. They were also the group that went to North Korea during the Olympics as something diplomatic.
Only people below 40 will really know who Faker is and others might have heard of him on the news as Lee Sanghyeok. Red Velvet as a group is most likely more famous than Faker, but individual members might not.
Idk man just among kr friends people who don't care about kpop or video games still know who faker is but not red velvet. They're probably just another name amongst a million groups that come out a year.

Red Velvet is one group out of the countless K-pop groups. Yes they’re one of the big ones but there are the likes of BTS and Blackpink above them. Faker on the other hand is one of if not the undisputed peak of esports. And the “he’s not known outside of the gaming circle” argument doesn’t work here since the same could be said about K-pop groups and how they’re not well known outside of their circle either. The national diplomatic thing can also be matched with Faker’s Asian Game gold medal and T1’s congratulation letter literally from the South Korean president himself
