Wow! It's insane watching the finals unfold now after seeing this rundown. Wtf happened? How did Zeus giga gap TheShy after TheShy just giga gapped Bin? Didn't know these levels exist here
@@ricolini70 yeah t1 was so good, Zeus was insane, i think weibo should atleast try to counterpick top but unlucky, I was cheering for weibo but t1 deserves it
@@ricolini70 WBG focused on countering other lanes and relying on TheShy to be able to be even with Zeus even with the bad matchups. But I don’t think WBG expected Zeus to completely take over.
13:08 This is quintessential TheShy. It's why he's had a lot of criticism for being an "inter" in recent years. Ever since 2018 he's never stopped playing on the edge. If he thinks he can win an exchange he will invite the enemy to take it. This man never backs down.
Iron = Spontaneously use ignite to do more damage at mid-health. Bronze-Challenger = Only use ignite to secure a kill. Pro Play = Spontaneously use ignite to do more damage at mid-health.
great video! Really highlights how he can have a great game/lane plan and play perfectly into it(graves game) but also his improvisation and adaptability skills(rumble game), however it would be nice to also know what bin should've done differnetly or how he should've played against shy's excellence or is there just nothing to do against the goat?
In one of the videos you mentioned bonus XP for isolated farming, can you tell more about it? How does it work exactly? Is there any relevant article on that?
@Coach Chippys I've been digesting your guides after watching Adam play Soloque champs at Worlds. First off thank you for taking the time to do these and I cannot say how having timestamps is such big help. Lastly, any chance on a Sett guide to complete the G.O.D.S? Since you've done the other 3.
How do you get the replay ? i would be so happy to watch only toplane and go back and forth witouth loosing anything and no replay that makes me loose the current state. thanks for this video tho
Hi, really interesting video. I'm gonna give my point of view on the way you analyse tho, this is only what I think. What I see here is you prasing theshy and saying what he's doing which is already really interesting since I can't understand all his decision-making, but to be honest I've not learned anything that is applyable to my own game, which I think you could do by maybe trying not just to say what he's doing and the direct reason but to go a little further on the tought process. For example maybe talk a little more about jgl tracking, or pausing a little more and try to explain more in detail the plans behind the wave states. The video is still great, just my take on what you could do better. Take the comment the way you want, maybe it's not the purpose of the video what I'm asking.
rumble would've been completely out of the game if aatrox fast shoved, didnt fake ward (or maybe just honestly mistake), and stood between rumbles t2 and t1 turret to stop rumble from getting any exp
Something to note at 8:10 is that this is really dangerous vs a lot of champs (anyone with terrain scaling). Jax sees Aatrox doing this and Maokai isn't far up enough on the cove to see into the River. Sylas has the ability to cross walls, so can E over and wrap around and chunk TheShy with Bin, giving Bin a massive advantage in the lane. Xun could also do this in theory if he opted to start Q, but that's pretty inefficient on Vi.
I don't play top lane, but I thought it was really odd that Bin slow pushed right after TheShy backed at level 1 in game 1. He must have though they could dive level 3, no? It just doesn't make sense. Of course, I admit that there's a lot of stuff that I don't know, and a professional top laner knows infinitely more than me and may have had a reason I can't understand.
doesn't make any sense with Vi pathing up after Kruggs, he really misjudged this situation or xun didn't want to go for the dive as they most likely would trade 1 for 1
i agree with u, only thing crossing my mind would be nerves :/ hes still one of the best players of 2023 and had an amazing run, easily one a top 10 player this worlds, too bad he matched up with theshy IN FORM
I'm pretty sure it's just about the mental. Knowing that you are *effectivly* at 300 less HP because ignite exists is different from *actually* being at 300 less HP. If there's another reason I'm happy to hear about it
There's two reasons. The first for sure, the second is just a consideration. The first is Nimbus Cloak. He used ignite for more MS to try and get out of dodge. The second, which I don't think was the reason here, since Nimbus Cloak would be the main reason to ignite here, but after getting chunked, there's a good chance you're not going to take a fight for another 3 minutes. With that in mind, it might just be worth dropping ignite in this case just to get that damage down, since you're likely to need to just back at some point, then walk back, so you'll have your ignite back by your next all in anyways.
I don't get it either, seems like it was because he was scared of aatrox getting 6 off his next minion/rushing him and decided igniting early could fake an all in enough for aatrox to back off, letting him freely get the wave and get 6 first. Although, he knew he had 6 off the wave and could ult the next one easily so it seems pointless in hindsight, but at the time it was probably what made aatrox back to turret.
I dont't know how you get your hands on the replay files, or how you are able to play them back on an outdated patch, but this is just excelent content, sir. Thanks alot! I wish there would be more people doing this kind of deep alanysis for the knockout stages of the major tournaments.
@@jacobskrong6781 Funny you say that while stats show that Theshy actually has the lowest jg proximity of all major region tops at worlds. Weiwei has a 3% top proximity. What's even the point of hating on someone you don't know and lying to yourself to justify your hate?
@@sohailameziane6050 Lying to myself? Did u even see the series besides the ornn game Theshy was getting jg help all the time whether it was pushing (weiwei was literally going top as poppy and AAing the tier 2 turret to death), diving Bin or counterganking. Sure theshy did solokill Bin but it was only after he got advantage from his jg and the fact he was in good matchups for most of the series. All I am saying is Bin is still better top laner imo but Theshy used his lead well. And I made a comment only regarding this series so dont pull out some stats which are totally irrelevant.
Bin has better hands than TheShy, TheShy simply has the best laning fundamentals of any player to ever play the game and a complete champ ocean and probably the best understanding of matchups of any player. TheShy is better than Bin in a lot of ways, but his mechanics/hand speed isn't one of them.
Honestly apart from not hard pushing lvl 2 Bin didnt play this badly. The only thing that happened is that rumble in these last patches is too op with new comet etc. (I mean from minute 0 to 10)
Insane that he was able to gap Bin who played so well whole year. Top matchup for finals is so exciting

nerves + as coach chippys said this is not a typical position to be in for that matchup, so it seems to be he just was unsure what to do and defaulted
