They really wanted to get Olivia Coleman back to play Nick's mum and she desperately wanted to come back, but her shooting schedule was fully booked up and Heartstopper shoots on a very accelerated, tight schedule and they could not make it work. Which is a shame. A real shame. But, on they other hand, we get the MARVELous (pun intended) Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter herself) to play Nick's aunt. Which is a delight. If only we could have had a bit of both.
@@oncer.blossom_swe0538There better be because we need the mom and aunt in the picture!!! Olivia Colman and Hayley Atwell separate are amazing but I think together they'd be unstoppable!!!
@@elishahilkeryou’re so right!!!!!!!! When I found out Hayley had been casted I FREAKED cause she was my bisexual awakening when I was deep in my agent Carter phase lol
i know that my opinion isn't particularly popular, but i place almost all of the responsibility on Charlie's mother for this. they blame it on bullying assumedly at school, but that magically resolved itself in S1. Harry was an outlier. but pretty much every time she interacts with Charlie, she makes him feel like complete shit and is almost always followed by Charlie not wanting to eat. she has absolutely no empathy for what he's going through. her nastiness about Nick even after 8 months is horrible. they are saying that Charlie feels like food is something he can control. you know who he can't control? his mother. his mother that makes his life miserable for petty and vindictive reasons. his mother who can't be bothered to even notice that he's having problems where his sister does. imo, Charlie is going to struggle until she gets therapy as well or he gets the hell away from home.
It's so funny Nick go's as captain america to a party and his aunt is captain carter 😅 and in the comics is Nick's mom told Nick the same thing, miss Sarah Nelson
I’m not down on the mom as others I think she knows something is wrong but she’s wrong on what it is Charlie’s mental health has gotten worse since he got with Nick and I think that she thinks it’s connected to Nick so she’s trying to protect him by separating them but she’s trying to hard and Nick isn’t what’s causing the problem and because Charlie isn’t ready to tell her that’s what she’s going with
is it a Britishism to call a roast chicken just "a roast"? in the US we'd never do that. and god help them if that was actual beef because that would be a fright.
A roast dinner in England isn't just the chicken... It's the chicken and the vegetables and the whole meal is what a roast is... And from what I understand it isn't always chicken but it's just some form of animal protein.... But yeah in America "a roast" would more commonly be roast beef, absolutely. It's just a fun food colloquialism in England. Just like an English fry up breakfast is a very specific meal, as well.
@@AnxietyRat yeah, here it would be really unusual if the naked "roast" meant anything but beef. with veg it would be a "pot roast" most likely, though not exclusively. i mean, i love all of it and agree with Tori about underseasoning :) jeeze, crispy chicken with properly spiced skin is a thing of beauty. i feel like posting Jacques Papin's roast chix recipe :)
I think for me at least a roast meal would be either chicken, beef or lamb plus the veges) done in the oven, to me they would all be considered a roast

Same! I had to pause the video because I was laughing too much to listen 😂
I died laughing 😂

If there is another season we need a scene with the two of them

Yeah I'm so sad she couldn't come back this season but also so glad cause Hayley was absolutely amazing in those scenes
Be Prepared, make sure you have a lot of tissues on hand for the next few episodes, you're going to need them

Joe Locke would get an Emmy for this phone call scene alone if I was in charge!

She's also MUCH worse in the books, they really softened her up a huge amount for the show 😅
Thanks, Ethan! 💞 I hope you feel better very soon. Keep well-hydrated as you recover. 🌿
Thank you! Will do!

@@ethanclarkreacts in the US, an unqualified "roast" implies beef. also: why doesn't Tori just season it herself? end of problem
