im 33 yr old and my best memories from the habs is this guy and Kovalev. EVERY fking powerplay, as soon Souray touched the puck, the whole arena screamed SHOOT. He fucking did a slapshot during a Breakaway and score xD
With Markov, they had the best PP in the league back then... Unfortunatly, 5 on 5 they were not very good!
Also the terrible memory involving both when Kovalev got barely shashed vs Boston and stopped playing and got in the way of Souray back checking and they lost lol. What a best Souray was though.
I don't quite remember Souray's arrival in Montreal, didn't even remember it was by trade, but holy shit do we remember that slapper. Him and Markov gave a struggling team one of the most devastating power-plays in the league.
Souray was a true old school D. Big hits, tough & mean, could drop the gloves with the best of 'em and had the hardest fucking slapshot.
une bête ce gars là !! j'me souviens y'avais un esti de slapshot . on s'en souvient le big OG
i remember his season with 26 goal its was crazy
José Theodore had a lot of crap going on off the ice. Mafia uncles and stuff like that.
And a pedo father-in-law
Shane talks like he is on the spectrum
He probably is.
Who's the guy asking question on the left ?
Terrible transition player. If he had the puck in his zone or the neutral zone, the team was in trouble.
Souray was loved in Montreal. That shot and his toughness was second to none. Merci Mr. Souray you were a blast to watch!
Class act for his time at Hershey
SS had a cannon for a shot.
