Hey, Arthur and Uncle! You both just need to love Rdr2. (joking aside, both of your accounts are Rdr2 fan accounts) Why do you say "nostalgia blinded" in this case?
Wtaf lol. Water physics “BETTER” in AC Mirage? We saw the same video right? It’s arbitrary model interaction. In RDR2, as you move the water reacts differently and dynamically. In ACM, the water ripples in a circle radiating out from you. That’s elementary water physics reacting to arbitrary object interference, not dynamic physics reacting to movement and mass. RDR2 definitely wins water. ACM does exactly what most other modern games are doing. With this method, the character makes the same ripples standing as any other object/model does and they make the same radiating ripples walking or swimming.
Of course it moves with the hand (object interference) and better work has done with RDR2. But did you observe the way ripples work? It's not working like it should work on water. like high density or heavily contaminated. So Mirage has the upper hand here even if it does not have that physical interference. But at the end it's the way we see. Can't disagree totally with you. Good point!
Comparing these two games like this isn't really fair imo. RDR2 had a much bigger team, bigger budget, and more development time than Mirage did, which makes sense because RDR2 is a much bigger game in general as well, being in development for eight whole years while Mirage was under 2 years. That said though, given that RDR2 is 5 years old now, it holds up very well.
Mirage was not even made by ubisoft montreal I'm not sure what part of ubisoft made Mirage but all I know is that part of ubisoft never hade a whole game they just helped
Well I guess Ubisoft have to take more time and money in their hands then … u can’t excuse a worse game … if you wanna do a masterpiece (what imo devs should try doing) then you should be ready to do everything necessary to make it a masterpiece… clearly something Rockstar was ready to do an Ubisoft NEVER did…. and I don’t think they even could even with more time money bigger team etc they just don’t know how to do art anymore they just drop lifeless games who are all the same with little effort to make a bug
People always say stuff like this in any comment section related to games that RDR2 is being compared with. It's such a massive cope lol you're talking as if ubisoft is some kind of beggar that is lacking resources and budget to create a game but as a matter of fact ubisoft is already one of the biggest game companies there, you're lying to yourself by using that bs excuse that ubisoft has less budget/resources.
That's not true. Ubisoft has 20,000 employees while Rockstar doesn't even have a quarter of that. Ubisoft has different teams working on different games at the same time, so it's likely that this one took 3-5 years to develop and not 2 as you say. Rockstar simply puts more effort and resources into making a single game, that's why RDR2 is superior technically to other games released today.

I think Ubisoft is the only gaming studio that can match or even exceed Rockstar's level of detail and polish. They build great landscapes and architecture but they need to give more time to certain games like the AC series, FarCry, and Watch Dogs. They need to focus more on quality rather than quantity.
Me, can't stand westerns or cowboys, brought RDR2 for the game engine, hoping someone would do a mod to remove the western theme from the game, for true OPEN WORLD, in hindsight it would have made more sense to not buy the game, and wait for a mod...that's never coming. RDR2 is a vast, diverse, and heavy on the details and story, wonderful game engine, beautifully implemented with a massive amount of content and immersion...just not for me. Mirage, a tiny project in comparison, holds its own for what it is, with enough content and story for the AC junkie who needs his AC fix, grand exotic setting with a rich historic culture, im just starting to enjoy it. Both are a welcome addition to their genre, but in terms of scale, complexity and depth RDR2 is the clear winner. PS: Don't UBI have at least 4 Game Engines?.
Their problem isn't even Quality, its a complete lack of passion and creativity, all their games are these corporate clones of each other (just like their employees :) )

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the definitive of Purity in the Gaming World And Assassin’s Creed Mirage is at the standards of what a regular game should be like, Graphically.
Only thing i was dissapointed in RDR2 was that there was no “mirage” on top of fire/flames. I was thinking if they could do the sunlight through the ears then they could’ve done with the fire. But RDR2 is still king in all other aspects
In defence of Mirage, Mirage had like a bit over 1 year of production time Rdr2 had over 8 years of production time Mirage had pretty much 10x smaller Budget than rdr2. Mirage had a smaller company make it with a staff size of roughly several hundred people. Rdr2 was made by a massive company with the staff size of around 6000. The fact mirage still (somewhat) can hold its own against rdr2 is mind boggling
Agreed, but that's the point right ? Instead of rushing the games release why not take your time and create a well polished game with compelling storyline ? The thing is Ubisoft lacks vision it tries to create several themes of one genre that has worked and that to unpolished and quick. And as far as budget is concerned why not create a smaller open world game but with compelling storyline and lots of details?
And the point? Mirages map is smaller than 45 km square while rdr 2 is 75-80 Km square. While half of the map feels empty rdr 2 map is filled with animals and towns. Mirage just reuses old animations while rdr2 has 300000+ animations. The realism in rdr2 I mean how your clothes affect your body? Your behaviour towards your horse? Arthers interactions affects the his personality and changing more interactions. While rdr 2 is made like completly new , Mirage is just a overated copy of its past.
Also when u whistle after running Arthur has difficulty. If you ride too fast arthur barely manages to open eye. Like people do when wind is fast I forgot what it is called. Also you can see bullets remaining in revolver barrels. And many mire rdr2 is goat

10 years from now RDR2 realistic graphics is still on the top, even games these days releasing still have less realistic graphics than RDR2, I remember playing in 2018 when it first came out I was so stunned by the environment I spend more time roaming than doing missions lol!
It’s so surprising that even 5 straight years, a new game is still compared with a 2018 game. That’s enough to know that rdr2 is actually a great game or in fact one of masterpieces

Gotta agree Rockstar makes best masterpieces even though take light years.
Light years? It's not travelling lol
no, id give Valve that makes the best nasterpieces, they make games that last for years and invent new ideas that every other company copies it.

mirage is still lowkey impressive to come think about it. it was supposed to be a valhalla dlc but they were allowed to make a new game instead. and the team isnt really big at all so props to ubisoft bordeaux and they only had like what? 2 years to make the game? maybe less??
is it because you have mirage? And just mirage only? Also even if the team isnt big, the entirety of ubisoft is almost on par with rockstar
@@testtestrestrest i have rdr2 and i have played almost all ac games and this was actually the team that made mirage (bordeaux). It was their first game ever because they were supposed to make dlcs for valhalla instead so they had less time to make mirage. and rdr2 had like 8 years when mirage only had 2-3

Mirage just uses old animation while rdr 2 is based on new engine with 300000+ animations. Mirages map is smallers than like gta V and its empty. Thats not on par dude

Even though it's a 2018 game, from the old generation, RDR2 continues to be superior to any new generation game, this just shows how far ahead of that time this game is. It's a game that's in a shelf of its own, and probably only Rockstar will be able to make another game to beat it.

@@HiddenBladesx2 Siendo sincero, solo RDR 3.
@@Daniel218lbni siquiera salió GTA ví , piensa un poco
@@EXIOO_1bordeaux
I like how Arthur has a really rough face but the AC guy has a smooth face even though they obviously both live harsh lifestyles. (good on Rockstar)
We wait for GTA 6 then and only then RDR2 will get the competition that actually has a chance

I think Ubisoft is the only gaming studio that can match or even exceed Rockstar's level of detail and polish. They build great landscapes and architecture but they need to give more time to certain games like the AC series, FarCry, and Watch Dogs. They need to focus more on quality rather than quantity.
Exceed really lol you're a half blind ubisoft fan bowii
@mihirvd01 Not a chance in the world
Their problem isn't even Quality, its a complete lack of passion and creativity, all their games are these corporate clones of each other (just like their employees :) )

this man is completely right,
Ubisoft could NEVER reach rockstar not in a million years, they have good ideas wich have so much potential but they screw it up every time (literally the last time I was satisfied with an ubi game I was like 12) bcs like the man said they don’t have passion or creativity they just copy past their games with little effort as possible, rockstar is exactly the other way around those mfs are real artists… and I will always remember rdf2 till I die … I am not gonna remember vallah maybe just bcs it was so bad. ..

If RDR2 after 5 years still looks better than many new games (water in AC looks really good though), I wonder how GTA 6 will look like. I hope changes that happaned to Rockstar won't influence it too much and we will get a movie like game just like RDR 2.
Bruh rdr2 and ac have different character traits, one is a gun slinger and the other is a fucking assassin, you can’t say “unlike” rdr2 player can swim underwater in mirage. By that logic unlike Ac guns are available in rdr2 and unlike rdr2 character can jump and run on buildings

Only thing i was dissapointed in RDR2 was that there was no “mirage” on top of fire/flames. I was thinking if they could do the sunlight through the ears then they could’ve done with the fire. But RDR2 is still king in all other aspects
Red dead redemption 2 was ahead of its time and remember it was made based on the ps4 if it was the ps5 it would be even more impressive
RDR2 is the definition of pushing the system to its limita
In defence of Mirage,
Mirage had like a bit over 1 year of production time
Rdr2 had over 8 years of production time
Mirage had pretty much 10x smaller Budget than rdr2.
