The "black dots" that appear on your sink mat IS mildew. To avoid getting it, spray the mat with Lysol or use a Lysol wipe to disinfect it and prevent mildew from forming. Rinse it in hot water and then cold water. Shake the water off by tapping it with your hand or against the sink and stand it up to drain dry. Mildew loves to grow on surfaces that are wet. You should also wipe down your cutting board with the same kind of disinfectant wipe. Other ways to clean it is with a sprinkle of baking soda and a sponge moistened with vinegar. Just like with baking soda and vinegar, rubbing a cut lemon over the board will keep it from smelling and will help disinfect it. Wood hates water, so it is not a good idea to leave it under the running water while you are washing the other dishes. After it's cleaned and rinsed, dry it immediately with a clean white lint-free cloth. BTW...I love your cutting board.
grinning owl thank you so much for this info! I have since started spraying the sink mat... I just assumed it was made to be resistant to mold & mildew because it lives in a sink! Thanks for the baking soda and vinegar tip- will use.
greenbeautyASMR You are very welcome. I love sharing what I've learned. So, here's some more words of wisdom for your entertainment. **cheezy grin** The microbicidal protection of a Mildew Resistant additive is integrated into the product during the manufacturing process. It covers the entire contact surface. When microorganisms come in contact with this shield, the advanced technology of the Mildew Resistant additive will inhibit microbes from surviving and reproducing on that surface for an extended period of time. However, after repeated exposure to water, the mildew treatment applied by the manufacturer will eventually wear off and eventually spots of mildew will appear. When you see this happening, this should be your cue to re-treat the mat with a mildew inhibitor such as Lysol. You don't need to spray the mat after every dish-washing session (although it wouldn't hurt) but only when the first signs of mildew appear. After you spray the entire mat (both sides), it's important to let it air-dry completely. I stand my floppy mat vertically on its side between the dish drain and the side of the sink so it won't fall over. You could simply stand your hard one up in the dish drain like you would a dinner plate. It's also important to rinse the mat thoroughly with water when you are done washing dishes and cleaning the sink. Leftover soap suds clinging to the mat might contain germs from the dirty dishes or the sink itself. It would also be a good idea to spray your gloves with Lysol after you have rinsed them with water and before hanging them to air-dry. About once a month, my mat will look stained, mainly because some in our household don't think to move the mat when pouring things like coffee down the drain. I soak the mat in a small bit of hot water and about 1/4 cup of bleach. Then we're good to go.
Would love to see a cleaning/cleaner roleplay just narrating what/how you clean certain things, like you’re presenting and showing a customer what you do? Kinda hard to explain I guess haha
Love this! I love cleaning videos too but hard to find ones that include soft speaking which is my biggest trigger. So this is just perfect!! Thank you 💜
detergent suds all over the hands while rinsing dishes, also detergent is left on dishes when not properly rinsed, dishes dont get properly rinsed when put under the running water sparingly,i use a dish brush even when rinsing to make sure all the detergent is removed from the dishes, detergents left on dishes is hard on people with low immune systems
This was such a relaxing video, thank you for making this! I've had quite a stressful day and this helped me feel just a bit calmer after my hectic day. :)
I think I just found a new trigger ! I loved the glove sounds ! 💕 I am currently pulling an all nighter cramming for my midterms and I loved that you posted today thanks so much for this video 😊
I love your videos and I’m not one to say negative things but it gave me anxiety that you let the water run and run and run while you weren’t using it 😬 just thinking maybe my pointing it out would make you aware of the terrible waste of water!
stephykay87 Well she already uses a dishwasher so it's already a given she's not into responsible use or conservation of water. She gassed doing dishes by hand like it as a special thing to do lol.
stephykay87 Same here! I don't like leaving negative comments either, & she did give a disclaimer at the beginning. But I had to stop watching because letting water run for no reason is one of my big pet peeves. I get onto my husband about it all the time! So yeah, as relaxing as it may have been, I just couldn't relax because that was all I could think about. 😆
LMAO ...OMG...you guys are UNBELIEVABLE...this is freaking HILARIOUS...unless you gonna send her the money through paypal to pay her water bill ...please just STFU ...speaking of which have you washed your dirty dishes TODAY ..leave my #greenbeautyasmr ALONE ..she doesnt do these vids to get your opinion ...she does them for you to ENJOY...stop finding shit wrong with her content and just stick to the damn SCRIPT or turn the page and go somewhere else...you aint her damn momma ✌
THE WATER RUNNING OUT ALMOST KILLED ME
I never would have imagined how relaxing this would be! I LOVE your voice and videos, thank you!
