Hi, I appreciate and admire your videos, you have a great way of explaining. Here I need your help as i have created and mint my gif and add it after adding my gif it gives another box down there for "preview image" here I am just adding any jpg image and proceed but when I click on create (I select polygon) an error comes "content_type cannot be application/octet-stream". I can't figure it out why is it so? Its because I didn't pay gas fee or what. but when it comes to jpg image its fine no error, only gif or video has a problem. please let me know why is it?

How to create an nft music account ?
So if you are selling a song or ep, album collection do you half to say how many copies are available say 1,000,000, as an artist i want to sell more than 1 copy, gas fees sound expensive limiting desire of purchase?
Question: I have paid for the compulsory / mechanical license to produce a cover of a song. In some cases there is a license to sell physical CDs … including music subscription downloads (we no longer are responsible for licensing music streams for cover songs). My question is this: as a SRO (sound recording owner as outlined by SoundExchange) … can I sell percentages (1% to 100%) of my cover song as an NFT? Brother Reggie - Stafford VA
There is a lot of legal gray area with covers and NFTs. Me personally, I'd stay away from it. Or I'd do a lot of research to ensure I'm not breaking any laws.

Open Sea has the one flat fee for $57 but I saw Foundation App is another good marketplace but charges a gas fee of around $100 but has higher bidders...what do you think...seems like Open Sea is the less stressway...

Nice video, Tom! So, what happens if you make a single nft of your song but then decide months later to make more? Is that possible?
Technically you can. There's nothing stopping you. However, you'll likely undermine your reputation as a creator, which will prevent people from buying your tokens in the future. So much of the scarcity is built on trust.
That would be unscrupulous and inconsiderate of those who bought the "limited edition".

Just put the lease agreement as the terms of nft. It's a wrap.

you can't. it is all virtual.

Why do people want Autographed pictures of celebrities? Look at it as 1) pride of ownership 2) fandom in action 3) investment potential (nfts can be sold on open market.
Scenario: unknown artist releases album nft, say 1000 copies selling a $10. The artist blows up and the nft token is now trading at on open sea for $50 Ra.

Let's suppose I have an album with 10 songs ready to make a NFT collection out of it.
1st question: Do I have to sell single songs to a single person/buyer or can I sell it tu multiple buyers ?
2nd question: Do you think that I could sell all of my songs as NFT and still offer this album to a label ? Do you think a Record label would still be interested into releasing this album (if they like it in the first place) or would the NFT ownership To 3rd person's be an issue for the label ?
each NFT is an only copy but you can have numerous NFTs and also you aren't selling the rights just that particular NFT and record labels arent anything like they used to be. You would make more selling your music in the metaverse and social media... seriously... since there are no longer records, cassettes, and CDs the record companies only make money on social media too and merchandise which you can do yourself and not sign your life away to the record company who may even just shelf you somewhere if they rather promote someone else. @@luisamarquez5735 I already have a local label that is signing with me song by song. But I have the freedom to sign with anyone else since I have an album that would not be interesting for the local market but very much for a UK or Netherlands label and listeners.
So I am still thinking about releasing my album as NFT but at the same time (since I would not sell the rights) I would offer it to a record label the classic way and negotiate the terms I would like to have in terms of promotion.
Just I am unsure if they would understand the NFT ownership that would belong to someone else. (Because a standard label contract usually has a paragraph about they taking the ownership of the master recording of the song ... But this is not the NFT ... since they own the rights. So actually they should not care about the NFT at all.
But now another question is arising. What happens with the songs that I released already. Can I sell them as NFT even though they are already released?
And am I allowed to do that if I actually have signed with the existing label that the master is actually their belonging.

If you post your music for sell as NFTs, does that mean you can no longer keep that song or recording on UA-cam, Spotify, or SoundCloud? Is there a way to be able to sell the song as an NFT while also being able to keep the song on streaming services
You can sell an exclusive version of your music on NFT and a normal version on all streaming service. As long as you have provided this information in the distribution, you’re good.

Yeah dude, you can do whatever you want with it. It's your intellectual property!
NFTs aren’t the music or other content, they’re just a unique serial number that points to an existing piece of content. Think limited edition with a serial number on it. Anyone can buy the album, but there’s exclusivity in buying one of the few that has a serial number printed on it.
In this case, the serial number isn’t even embedded in the content, it just points to it. So more like buying a slipcase with a serial number printed on it which also says “herein lies a unique copy of [name of album or artwork or whatever]” to put your record or cd or artwork into. Or like a serial numbered stand to display it on. Or something like that.

@@MikyungSungBass i agree but i got thinking if an nft investor sees the exclusivity of it they are more likely to invest and they share it out in the world on their terms. Streaming. Sharing it in all ways thats resonates and how they want to monetize. So it might still reach your fans but not necessarily directly from you. If understand correctly the blockchain tech would allow that unique identifyer to bring back all the activity of the song and its monetization back to thepercentage you aggreed upon when it was released as an unique nft....

Man, that's definitely a gray area. I probably wouldn't just to be safe. You could run into trouble.
You have to review the terms of your lease agreement.

Copyrighting is always a good idea, but unless you explicitly transfer the rights, it’s still yours. Selling a limited edition recording is different from selling the master recording and its subsequent rights.

Why would I sell NFT music that is streamable? At least standard steaming sites are paying a portion of a penny on some platforms by the time you get the money. Seems like NFT is going to take out the artist completely, exept for people that want the original NFT. But they may just want to stream the NFT only and we all lose.
