He portrayed his character really well and his wide eyes & shocked face definitely shows he successfully played a boy new to love & the world. Phenomenal actor :))
Out of all Eun Woo dramas this is my favorite! His character here was better than the cold hearted guy he plays in others (my opinion) it was also amazing to see how in this drama the girl doesn't need to be saved, she's standing by what she wants, she believes in what she wants, she's speaking her mind and I love it! The whole drama ain't only about a love story, it's about woman power.
Rookie Historian was my first Korean program and I absolutely fell in love! I am 79 y.o. and I was transported back to my girlhood youth. Since then I have watched RH over many times and have gone on to the other K-dramas - CLOY, CAMELIA, SOMETHING IN THE RAIN, CHOCOLATE, THE KING ETERNAL MONARCH, and more. I watch them over and over - YEP, I am an addicted hopeless romantic and I love these productions and the actors in them all.

This scene is really beautiful because even though she said romance novels makes her cringe; she reads the poem he wrote for her and she's crying even when they kissed. How can this scene not be something out of a romance novel?☺😊😍
I thought this scene was super sweet. Not just because of the kiss, but the fact that the prince made a drink for apprentice goo and was able to start a fire and make it for her when he didn't know how to even start a fire before.

this probably has to be one of my most favorite confession scenes; the quietness around them and the simple sounds of nature, the genuine gazes they give one another, when hae ryung recites the poem that he wrote for her but never showed, the initiation that hae ryung did, and just every detail... this scene just packs a punch and makes me fall in love with the show even more.

THIS IS THE ROMANCE NOT SEXUAL STILL MAKES YOUR HEART FLUTTER BLUSH SO HARD WHILE WATCHING, EVERYONE IN THIS SERIES PLAYED THEIR ROLE SO PERFECTLY.

Mostly dramas the female lead got shocked and widen eyes if they got kissed unexpectedly but this male lead looks so innocent and learning how to love and to be loved ok....the fact the girl always give the initiative to hug kiss or makes some moves nice and refreshing drama
