A. T. Haseul is literally the leader of LOONA overall, this has been stated multiple times through LOONA TV and said by Haseul herself. Any real orbit knows this
Not about singing but: Guys I found a comment on UA-cam that said Loona wasn't synchronized in Butterfly or their dance covers. And I just want to say...what a clown. Anyway, about singing: Loona has amazing vocalists and some of them, especially Gowon and Vivi, are being slept on. Gowon has a rather childlike voice, which leads people to believe that she's not a good vocalist. However, in my opinion, she can utilize her voice well. Of course, she's not a perfect vocalist, but it's not a "she can't sing" situation lmao. (Also, cRunCh.) Vivi is very underrated. Technique-wise, she's obviously not perfect. However, she has a beautiful tone. These two need more attention! (Mkay now I'm going to rant about the other members, just wanted to give these two some more attention because they're so underrated. Of course they're not perfect, but, again, it's not a "she can't sing" kind of thing. Also, to the person who said they're not sure where Gowon's talent lies: I would say that she is strongest in dancing. Gowon is a great dancer. Vivi, as said before, is a soft vocalist who has a very pleasant voice to listen to.) Heejin - Heejin has a wonderful tone as well. She has a great range and is able to sustain high notes. Although she sometimes has some tuning issues, she is still a wonderful vocalist. Hyunjin - Hyunjin has a nasal and airy voice, but because of her breathing control it doesn't sound too airy and is pleasant to hear. Haseul - Haseul has trained in opera and is obviously very amazing technique-wise. The reason why she can sometimes sound a little airy to uncultured people is because she uses her head voice often. All in all, Haseul can sustain high notes very easily, has great technique, and is able to utilize her head voice, chest voice, and falsetto. Yeojin - Yeojin is a very underrated vocalist. She's able to belt and her voice has been rather impressive ever since she was 14. Yeojin has a good range and I admire how she can keep so much energy in her voice. Kim Lip - Lip has a beautiful tone. Her voice is rather unique (in a good way) and she is able to hit high notes well. Her voice seems to suit her concept perfectly and I think she is a wonderful vocalist. Jinsoul - Jinsoul is a great vocalist. Her voice sounds rather mature (Idk how to explain it) and she has also proven that she can hit high notes as well. She also has a lot of emotion in her voice (it's not shown so well in Loona's songs, but in this one fan meeting she sings this song and captures the emotions very well). Choerry - Choerry has a soft yet powerful voice. (I don't really know how to explain this, I'm sorry.) Her tone is very pleasant to hear and her voice seems to suit any concept. Yves - Yves has an amazing tone as well. Her voice is a little sharper than some of the other girls, which provides a nice contrast. She can also belt very well. Chuu - Chuu is a powerhouse vocal. She is a high notes goddess and has a very strong voice, although it can sound delicate as well. I would say that she is also another girl that is able to capture emotions in her voice well. Olivia Hye - Olivia is a good vocalist but I think that she has the same issue as Gowon where she has a rather child-like voice. (They are soulmates. Hyewon uwu.) However, as said above, this is not necessarily a bad thing. Olivia has a great range and is a good vocalist.
I like to think that Hyunjin is in a similar situation as NCT Jaehyun (also Around You and his SM Station Try Again give me such the same vibes that if one goes into a playlist, the other is sure to follow lol). They have deeper, creamy (?), rich, and smooth voices (lol it sounds like I’m talking about the ideal latte or hot chocolate) that are perfect for gentlely coaxing you to sleep but are sadly underutilized because their voices don’t always work well with their concept, or even more specifically, the higher notes their songs are composed for. Their dancing and rap are also sadly under appreciated and people tend to only talk about their visuals :( Also stream Around You and Try Again, for some reason they aren’t so liked by their fandoms :(((((

LOONA Studio really helped establish the girls as great vocalists imo. BBC struck gold with 12 main vocalists, 12 main dancers, 12 main visuals and 11 main rappers. I AM EMOTIONAL.

"LOONA CAN'T SING" Haseul: Take my cheese -fights in opera- Jiwoo: Take my Yves -fights with the high note of Hi High- All the girls: Take my loonaverse -fights in "we debuted with solos, your fav wish"-
It's weird how people become absolute music experts on social media, right? Some LOONA members don't have strong vocals but they CAN definitely sing. They deliver melodies hitting the right notes in tune, and that's the easiest way to prove they can sing. You might not like some member's voice, the way they rap, the emotions they convey while singing, their vocal color, etc., but they're doing their job perfectly fine. If you don't like it then don't listen to it instead of trying to hate on them, it can't get easier than this.
People confuse the fact that having an airy voice doesnt equal not being able to sing, all loona girls have extereme visuals, loads of dance talent and very good vocals.
Edit: time stamp 11:00 I love how confident Yeojin sounds here, I wish she had more parts like this and her line in Satellite where her voice isn't forced to be cute and high pitched
Classical musicians (we know who i'm talking about :D ), Vocal Coaches and Teachers have reacted to their stuff - actually qualified people, just remember that hate blinds, this is why haters always sound idiotic and are alot of the times wrong. Spread Love
I sadly didn’t like her voice (or Eclipse for that matter) at first but once my ears adjusted to LOONA’s sound, I got to appreciate it a lot more. I generally have a preference to soft, velvety voices like SHINee’s Taemin, Day6’s Jae, and our dear Hyunjin in first impression tho so maybe it’s because hers is the polar opposite of theirs that’s why it took a while to “get” it.
There is already a lot of videos that prove them wrong. Those people just need to take 5min of their time to check them out on UA-cam So... Actually they are one of the talented rookie group considering that they are 12 with 8 clear vocalist and 4 stable vocals. If you don't agree... let's compare
the thing that people don't seem to get is that, while vivi/gowon/olivia hye aren't the most incredible singers, they all have a really unique and beautiful tone that adds to loona's colour as a whole. if you took out any of the members with 'weak vocals', loona wouldn't have the same sound or appeal. plus i really don't understand what people mean by 'can't sing'. like the members are all in tune, have a strong range and some form of technique, so they can DEFINITELY sing
Heejin: deep but also „girly” nice voice. Idk how to describe it but. Ugh queen Hyunjin: such a cute and „melody” voice. Like... her voice is so beautiful Haseul: opera singer but can go deep omg legend and an icon Yeojin: deep and unique voice!!! We want more of her btw Vivi: very nice voice i cant:( edily&ediny outsold Kimlip: very unique and pretty voice:) legend wbk Jinsoul: strong vocals!!! We love that song Hyeju: unique and pretty voice. She can go high and deep omg. Yes go off legend
I like how they can sing with Emotions, most Idols don't know how to do that and they sound really bland and their highnotes sound the same in every song. But in Loona every song has a different emotion and they know how to bring that Emotion out, especially Choerry she's very underrated.
I always come back to this video, just because I'm so nostalgic for the good ol loona days... (Not that the days now are bad, but those days back then were good in a different way~)
Haseul, Yves and Hyunjin have my favorite voices in the group. Haseul is unique and perfect, Yves is rich and addictive, Hyunjin is soft and beautiful... they fit their solos and roles in the Loonaverse so well. BBC made an amazing job finding variety in the members...
Even though Gowon and Vivi are some of the weaker vocalists of loona, they're still pretty capable and the fact that they're able to manage their own single is better than some idols in kpop today
they can definitely sing, but a big problem in kpop is that idols don't perform live anymore. and even if they do, a lot of videos of them performing live sound more perfect bc the audio is fixed with autotuning. more companies should be focused on giving their idols proper vocal training and breath control, so they can sing while they dance. and for the more difficult dances, the onces where singing during dancing is almost impossible, it's ok if they sing it all live but the industry (not just kpop, pop in general) should stop focusing on perfection and start focusing on bettering the skills of their idols. right now, haseul, kim lip and chuu are probably loona's biggest vocalists (even if haseul is underused) and i wish the company just let them sing live more. even in their recent concert, i could hear that a lot of the "live singing" was kinda fixed with autotune. and i'm not hating on the members!!! they're all very skilled!!! it's not their fault.
Yeah the industry's obsession with perfection is what keeps screwing groups like Aespa over, SM doesn't let them sing live despite them being very capable as Choachella showed us, and it's just sad to see that performances just focus on dancing even in some groups with simple choreo
Thx for uploading this , some people were talking abt 4gen vocalists and I said that loona was I good vocal group, that acted like a vocal coach and said that Chuu and Yves falsetto was not stable and bla bla bla , i just send a bunch of links and this video's

In my opinion I can't really choose anyone as the main dancer, main vocalist or main rapper cuz all of them are almost equally good
Nasir's Kpop Do you happen to have a link of an official source from BBC stating that? I’m a pretty huge fan, have been since before debut, and I don’t remember seeing that on BBC’s part. Just curious to see where I missed it. :)
(The Vivi thing I’ve seen, I think. That’s what I meant by Haseul not being called a leader by any of the non 1/3 girls. Which makes things really confusing/obscure, because we can’t know 100% for sure if the 1/3 girls refer to Haseul as their leader (as the 1/3 sub-unit) or for the full group. )
A. T. Haseul is literally the leader of LOONA overall, this has been stated multiple times through LOONA TV and said by Haseul herself. Any real orbit knows this
no one
not a single soul
people who hates groups because they are popular: they cant sing tho hehe
Vivi, as said before, is a soft vocalist who has a very pleasant voice to listen to.)
Heejin - Heejin has a wonderful tone as well.
Omg, an intellectual. 😩💓
Their dancing and rap are also sadly under appreciated and people tend to only talk about their visuals :(
Also stream Around You and Try Again, for some reason they aren’t so liked by their fandoms :(((((
Antis: LoOnA cAn’T sInG
LOONA : *hold my butterfly*
GoWon is lesbian
somehow i’ve never seen that clip of yeojin at hertz... her voice is so sweet, i hope she can get more lines that show off more of that! i literally cant get over it the nation’s maknae has no weak spots except for tall shelves
"No weak spots except for tall shelves." 🤧 I love that. And isnt her voice lovely? She just needs more confidence in herself!
LMAOOO DID THEY NOT SEE WHAT LOONA DID ON THE CHARTS? AN UNPROMOTED, MV-LESS SONG (365) GOT #1, A ~8 MONTH OLD ALBUM GOT BACK ON THE CHARTS (XX),,, i could go on for hours about what these women did.
Some of them haven’t seen heejin’s full moon cover and it shows
*edit* guys, the positions are just for reference. It's been brought to my attention many times that they don't have official positions. my info is from kprofiles and is just there to be helpful, even if not official. 🥰
all the clips are linked in the description.
I already follow you so 💞
@@yo_yeojin omg, yay! what's your name? I'll follow you back if I don't already.
@@LOONATE my username is Oops
out of all the recent girlgroups, Loona probably has one of the highest sing-ablity across all members... just sayin'
jinsoul surprised me when i first became an orbit. i thought she was JUST a rapper, so i assumed she wasn't that good at singing. then i heard love letter…. and from then on, i KNEW i was wrong
AND GOWONS VOICE IS T I N Y I LOVE IT
this is my favorite video now
🥺💗 tysm!
11:52 RAP GOD VIVI COME THROUGH
She HAS to rap in # or I'm calling the police
Also LOONA members are like 16-23 they’re still young af and developing their sound individually but they mesh well af as a group no denying THAT
This video made me realize how beautiful Choerry’s vocals are !! They are insane !! Like I always loved her vocals but the clips you chose were literally amazing! Also that first clip you showed of Jinsoul she looked godly
Ahh, I love her vocals too!! She's improved so much! I'm glad you enjoyed 🥺💓
KIM LIPS VOICE IS JUST SO- COULD SHE SING JN MY FUNERAL PLEASE??? EARS BLESSED
Them: Loona can’t sing!
Chuu: I WANT TO BE WITH YOUUUUUUUUUUUU
are loona the most skilled singers out there? NO! they’re still young and learning and improving but still amazing and sound great..people who say they cant sing confuse me
Exactly!! The amount they've improved since their solo debuts is actually super impressive. They're so passionate and have worked hard. 🥺
Yeojin and choerry are underrated vocalists. Their tones are really nice.
The most underrated imo 💓
The haters are def. I can admit that some of they don't sing so well like the others but they CAN sing. Loona is not perfect and is okay, the group is going to be better with the years. I'm also a twice stan and i was seeing the progress of the girls, is just time
Oh totally, I feel the same way. All the girls can sing. But some are weaker, just like in any group. They all have things they're strong at and improve constantly! 🥰
yeojin is so baby and that smol thing got so much talent i-
Haseul a LITERAL OPERA SINGER and you’re telling her she can’t sing when she has STUDIED OPERA.
How anyone can say a group containing Heejin, Haseul and Chuu-riah Carey can't sing is beyond me. Madness.
LOONA Studio really helped establish the girls as great vocalists imo. BBC struck gold with 12 main vocalists, 12 main dancers, 12 main visuals and 11 main rappers. I AM EMOTIONAL.
Who is not a rapper??
@@sararibeiro1208 KSKSJSJS KIMLIPS FAMOUS LINES "Rap no no no"
honestly i find it hilarious how kpopies love acting like they are vocal coaches and dance teachers when they know nothing. lmao.
Specially the ones that think popularity = talent / quality.
I can't tell if this was a drag at me or a drag at the people this video is meant for. 😂🤧
god really just spilled all the talent while making loona and it shows
The curious case of Haseul, the main vocal who has no lines in any ot12 song, poor girl, bbc does her so dirty
"LOONA CAN'T SING"
Haseul: Take my cheese -fights in opera-
Jiwoo: Take my Yves -fights with the high note of Hi High-
All the girls: Take my loonaverse -fights in "we debuted with solos, your fav wish"-
Idiots : L0oNa C4nt s1Ng
Chuu: *allow me to introduce myself*
When ppl say idols can’t sing but can they sing any better then them?
Edit: time stamp 11:00
I love how confident Yeojin sounds here, I wish she had more parts like this and her line in Satellite where her voice isn't forced to be cute and high pitched
Right?? She lacks confidence at times. But when she is confident, she proves how talented she is!!
YES i want more of her real deep voice like BBC why are you making her sing like that?
I clicked thinking this was a hate video and was *so* ready to defend my *queen's*
This has got me so hyped for the comeback I love their voices so much
OMG Olivia singing that XX added 10 years to my life span
that one comment who said "we ain't getting the burn comeback"they said too much
jinsoul's voice is soooo emotional and also looks pretty while singing
Classical musicians (we know who i'm talking about :D ), Vocal Coaches and Teachers have reacted to their stuff - actually qualified people, just remember that hate blinds, this is why haters always sound idiotic and are alot of the times wrong. Spread Love
Yeojin is such an underrated singer, I wish BBC would make her sing more because all the lines she gets are talk singing lines
*kim Lip has the most universally likeable tone*
I would say that's Yves or even JinSoul but no matter what all of them have beautiful voices💕
Zephyrs Blade ohh i understand but i feel like ppl would like Kim Lip’s tone the most
There is already a lot of videos that prove them wrong. Those people just need to take 5min of their time to check them out on UA-cam So... Actually they are one of the talented rookie group considering that they are 12 with 8 clear vocalist and 4 stable vocals. If you don't agree... let's compare
Exactly. Those people just don't want to do their research because they'll know they'll be proved wrong. 🙄
Dude 2:55 just a moment before that tekst popt up i litteraly also got chills and i don't usualy get chills while listening to music, that's crazy
the thing that people don't seem to get is that, while vivi/gowon/olivia hye aren't the most incredible singers, they all have a really unique and beautiful tone that adds to loona's colour as a whole. if you took out any of the members with 'weak vocals', loona wouldn't have the same sound or appeal. plus i really don't understand what people mean by 'can't sing'. like the members are all in tune, have a strong range and some form of technique, so they can DEFINITELY sing
Heejin: deep but also „girly” nice voice. Idk how to describe it but. Ugh queen
Hyunjin: such a cute and „melody” voice. Like... her voice is so beautiful
Haseul: opera singer but can go deep omg legend and an icon
Yeojin: deep and unique voice!!! We want more of her btw
Vivi: very nice voice i cant:( edily&ediny outsold
Kimlip: very unique and pretty voice:) legend wbk
Jinsoul: strong vocals!!! Amazing:)
Choerry: not only cute voice, but also very melodic and pretty like. Girl omg how u can be THAT talented:( my baby amazing
Kimlip: deep and strong voice. Such a queen:)
Chuu: no caption here. Everyone knows jiwoo CAN sing. And that she is a vocal queen(with haseul but haseul underrated)
Gowon: very lovely voice!!! We love that song
Hyeju: unique and pretty voice. She can go high and deep omg. Yes go off legend
Hater: lol, y'all dead blind. loona can't sing, rap nor dance periodt
Me (a stan): yeah, Haseul doesn't approve that behavior
I like how they can sing with Emotions, most Idols don't know how to do that and they sound really bland and their highnotes sound the same in every song. But in Loona every song has a different emotion and they know how to bring that Emotion out, especially Choerry she's very underrated.
I always come back to this video, just because I'm so nostalgic for the good ol loona days...
(Not that the days now are bad, but those days back then were good in a different way~)
i miss these days a lot sometimes, i know what you mean. :)
lmao i love how orbits can clap back with literal opera singing
"LOONA cant sing"
Me: bish, then try doing Chuu and Haseul's high note.
Assa~zero competition.
I bet the 1 dislike is the one of the same clowns that tweeted that week shit in the beginning of the video.
How haters/Netizens define *GOOD SINGING VOICE* :
- Stable singing voice in live stages 20%
- High note belters/carriers 10%
- *PURE HATE* 70%
Do you realize that Loona is a group of great vocalists, when the "weakest" singer has a beautiful sweet voice
It really makes me sad seeing people saying this stuff about gowon, she's awesome and really talented. All of them are. Stan Loona 💜
9:10 CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS?!?! LIKE PLEASE JINSOUL I’M GOING TO CRY
Q-tips are a dollar at the Dollar Store😥
Good lord haseuls tone is TO DIE FOR
I was waiting for the Chuu sneezing loona kick
STAN ViVi QUEEN OF PROGRESS!! LOVE HHER SM AAAA
I love hyejoo’s voice.
0:46 check next month sweetie
Even though Gowon and Vivi are some of the weaker vocalists of loona, they're still pretty capable and the fact that they're able to manage their own single is better than some idols in kpop today
why do people hate on Vivi’s voice? girl sounds like an angel✨
you forgot hyunjin's: into the UNKOOOOOOOOOOOWWW
GOWON??? CANT SING AND RAP??? DID THEY LISTEN TO ONE&ONLY BACKGROUND VOCALS??? SHE HIT A LEGIT HIGH NOTE IM SO DONE
People said that LONNA can't sing like ... Do you know who Chuu Is?
Gowons voice color isn’t my favorite but she definitely can sing
they can definitely sing, but a big problem in kpop is that idols don't perform live anymore. and even if they do, a lot of videos of them performing live sound more perfect bc the audio is fixed with autotuning. more companies should be focused on giving their idols proper vocal training and breath control, so they can sing while they dance. and for the more difficult dances, the onces where singing during dancing is almost impossible, it's ok if they sing it all live but the industry (not just kpop, pop in general) should stop focusing on perfection and start focusing on bettering the skills of their idols. right now, haseul, kim lip and chuu are probably loona's biggest vocalists (even if haseul is underused) and i wish the company just let them sing live more. even in their recent concert, i could hear that a lot of the "live singing" was kinda fixed with autotune. and i'm not hating on the members!!! they're all very skilled!!! it's not their fault.
Yeah the industry's obsession with perfection is what keeps screwing groups like Aespa over, SM doesn't let them sing live despite them being very capable as Choachella showed us, and it's just sad to see that performances just focus on dancing even in some groups with simple choreo
LOONA 👏 CAN 👏 SING 👏 their true talent just ain't displayed in their songs though 😔
Loona's sing is good. I am real orbit. You may think Loona can't sing in your ears, My ears Loona's sing is very well.
Real orbit are like that.
They are amazing 💖
their vocals make me cry because they have some of the most beautiful voices personally I bias all the girls 🤭
Thx for uploading this , some people were talking abt 4gen vocalists and I said that loona was I good vocal group, that acted like a vocal coach and said that Chuu and Yves falsetto was not stable and bla bla bla , i just send a bunch of links and this video's
haseul omfg she gave me sm chills
I know Loona can sing but I feel that they need to control their vocals more. The talent is there but BBC's vocal trainers need to bring Loona to their full potential.
True, it takes time though. The girls have already come a LONG way since their solo eras.
And their voices got even better this year.
