Most people knew Robert Horton from his days on the TV series Wagon Train but I'll bet not many knew that he was a great stage actor. He starred in 110 in the Shade on Broadway in 1963 and his strong singing voice served the role of Starbuck the "rainmaker" very well. He got excellent reviews for his efforts in the show. Listen to the song "Melisande" to get an idea of how good a singer he was. For almost 20 years in the 60s and 70s he toured all over the US performing in plays and musicals. Robert Horton was truly a multi-talented actor.

The most charitable thing you can say about his singing is that he's far better than Tony Bennett.

A little too echo-chamber-y for my taste, but other than that, nice.

@@harleykingman I agree about Clint Walker. He was a real man, and laid-back like John Wayne.
